Wow O.o Hmm Two Words "Bike Ride" =p In big cities now they even have biker taxi's you can use. For those of you not from the city tho, I suggest Electric Automodiles. I even heard the Steam Locomotive might make a comeback and replace the Disel Run Trains.

It maybe insane but it's true. the gas will be up that high by the end of the summer. It's insane. I can't believe that gas will be that high. But it will be. So people I suggest you start bike riding or taking buses. Because people can't afford gas when it goes that hight. So it's the best to start getting out those bikes. By the of the summer you will find gas up to 7 or 8 bucks. And diesel is probably passed 5.00 a gallon by now. And the food is way up there. Food has doubled. It's now gonna be a bit harder to live now. Because of the gas and food prices have gone way up. And they will keep going up. I wish things where back to the way they use to be. But that won't happen. Even if heck froze over it won't. That stinks.

No, there's gonna have to be a breaking point, something gots to give. There's gonna be even more homeless people, I don't think the country is going to be that stupid by helping it along. People are gonna protest, if it hasn't already begun. That's inhumane, no one is gonna be able to live, unless America is purposely starving it's people to death.

The Legend Continues...

Jokes aside, I was taking a bus to work and there was not one seat to sit on. I have been taking public transportation for years and I have never seen so many people standing. So, increase in gas prices is helping government in more than one way. Since I don't have a car, it's easier for me to look on the brighter side of things. I mean, sure it's putting a hole in people's wallets, but it's helping the environment. All we need is a push..and with these prices that's exactly what we are getting. Our spoiled-***es are finally walking. More and more people will be walking soon enough and it will help many fat Americans. There is definitely a bright side to it. But before we embrace it, we will moan and whine about it...and find someone to blame this problem on and then take turns suing them.

It's no use blaming the government really. Western countries are democracies after all. During the elections, politicians try to appeal to their own short-sighted and ignorant electorate. Twenty years ago, all the people that wanted to prevent what is happening now by switching to alternative sources of energy were disregarded as communist hippies. Blinded by their own short-term greed, people voted for politicians that opposed taxes on gas, and didn't intend to "waste money" on alternatives like solar energy or wind energy. The cheap oil of back then, combined with a lack of responsibility for the future, created a society addicted to oil. And yes, the Western world is addicted to oil, just like a junkie is addicted to harddrugs.

It's no use to blame other countries either. Countries like Russia, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and Iran have every right to set whatever price they want for their oil. It's their land, it's their oil, and not America's oil. It's a free market.

A lot of people in the Western world should realize they're spoiled and living way above their standard. All this complaining and protesting makes it sound like they think it's their God-given right to consume oil at the rate they're consuming it now. The rising prices of oil are not inhumane, they're a logical consequence of supply and demand. And it's exactly the kick in the ass that Western countries need to switch to forms of energy that do have a future.

I find it funny that people think that walking more and buying less gas will lower the price.
1. We need people to stop forming a bubble on crude oil in the stock market.
2. Oil is set by world economy, not the United States. For Example, In Europe, gas has been about where we are at for years, why? Because they dont have to drive, its more of an uncommon thing since many things are made easily accessible and in proximity of a walking range. So it costs more because of all the routing it has to go, to turn out even or any profit, gas has to be higher because it gets so inconvenient.
3. The U.S. was built as a wide open type of country, where mass travel is needed, it is unsure what can happen with our economy and our people depending on how we deal with this.

That was pretty random rant.
Enjoy?

Let's face it we're screwed. I bet you one thing when gas goes up to 7 to 8.00 a gallon people will probably sell there cars and trucks. Because they can't afford the gas. unless your rich than that is different. The reason why food double is because of the cost of diesel. Truck Drivers spend like 1,500 to like 2,500 plus a week on diesel. And right now people can't do a thing about this either. They're gonna have to deal with it. are economy has gone down hill. I mean way down hill. And people are taken the bus more because it's cheaper than to drive. I don't drive. Thank goodness. Well people are blaming them for this. Because they're greedy. plain in simple. they're making millions off us and they want more money. So it there fault for doing this to us poor American's that can barely afford to live right now. It stinks but hey we all gotta deal with it. No matter how many people are complaining about the very high gas prices. But hey those greedy people from those countries loves to make us Americans suffer.

99% sure gas wont EVER hit $7, unless McCain becomes president in which it might get close =/
Most it might hit, and its a max will probably be 5.50 a gallon before it goes down to 3 a gallon

Gas in Europe is about $8 per gallon and we don't have a collapsing economy.

Oh, and buying less gas -will- lower the price. If demand drops, the price will drop too.

That has got to be one of the dumbest things I ever heard. Really, what hypocrisy drives you to accuse people from other countries of being greedy when America is one of the wealthiest countries on earth? I suggest you get a job as a factory worker in Venezuela or Iran and look at your wage so you can see how greedy those Venezuelans or Iranians are, because really. Americans make a LOT more money than people from Venezuela or Iran. And they live under much better conditions as well.

Just because selling oil stocks or oil lowers the price of oil, doesn't mean that quitting to use gas won't lower it. Both will lower the price, because it's the same mechanism of supply, demand and price.

Yeah, true, both also depend on each other too. If you walk more, less gas sells, lowers stock, gets people to sell.

Bikes, Public Transport, etc. Some of us live in northern climes and bikes are not a option in the winter. Also, for my job, I do a lot driving, which would be impossible on a bike, I do like 400+ mile a month at work.
