Soo, what do you think of the gas prices reaching the astronomically high level of $4 per gallon? Should we all throw our SUVs and minivans on the scrapheap and buy compact cars? Or should we switch to biofuel? Or perhaps electricity or hydrogen? Or should the government pay for our gas? I'd like your opinions. :( |

well i think that we all should find another way to power our cars but the gov't wouldnt let that happen or else many companies would go out of business and lose their jobs....the problem with throwing away minivans is its a family car where is everyone in the family wants to go somewhere then they can together without taking to cars....if people want to spend the gas on suv's then let them thats their problem...lol. id love to make the switch to hydrogen or electric but theres to many things about it right now that makes me not want to get them....first off is the price of those cars...which is basically like 2x the amount of a normal new car....second those are electric and gas powered so ud still have to get gas. third...quite frankly i hate the look of these cars...lol. And about the gov't paying for our gas.... it wouldnt change anything....we'd just have to pay higher taxes and such to compensate for the gov't to pay for the gas....so in the end i see gas prices going nowhere but up. |

Invest in Hydrogen, make these big oil companies invest a percentage of profits into developing alternate fuel sources. Also, you got to look at it this way. Gas has been very stable in the coutry since the 1980's. There has been little uptick or inflation in it until about 2 years ago. I can recall my first job pumping gas, back in the early to mid 80's and gas ranged from 98 cents to $1.15 a gallon. It really got no higher than $1.25 until about 2006, then it jumped. Now compare other goods. My house in 1984 was sold for $55,000. I bought it 3 years ago for $280,000, that is more that a 500% increase in housing. Look at milk. In the mid 80's you could buy a gallon for 99 cents. Now it is about $4.00 a gallon, a 400% increase. Gas has just kind of caught up. Look at the price in Europe. Gas has been over $4.00 a gallon in many European states since the early 90's. There is not much that can be done. Unfortunately it is also increasing the price of everything else. Gone are my $80 a week grocery trips, they are now about $120. My utilities has steadily increased 20% over the past year. And there isn't really much you can do . .. |

The Gas Prices are already past the 4.00 mark here. The gas here is between 4.09 to 4.69 a gallon. |

<_< Malach, I know your blog entry probably talks about "Exxon," which has something to do with the gas prices, but isn't posting your blog's link without anything else taking your advertisement a little too far? |

That's too outrages, granted gas is essential, but that's too high. I say it's all a scheme to line their own pockets, this country needs to stop making deals with the enemy, it's really gonna put America in the hole, or the most it's people. |
