Its called the end of cartoon networks "Golden Age" Most cartoon networks has them:

Nick: 1990 - 2001 (Last Great Show: Invader Zim)
Cartoon Network: 1992 - 2007.

To me CN's golden age came to an end with the end of Billy and Mandy, KND, and Camp Lazlo (Sched to end this year).

Umm, good try PPG, Billy and Mandy got cancelled last year

And Nicktoons ended with Avatar

And also, CN is WB's ugly stepsister who it ignores.  CN probably had to pay a lot to air it (despite it just being money mostly going back into Time Warner, some of it goes to the animators Cookie Jar Entertainment)

I think you got that one reversed, Kids WB is the one getting canned, not Cartoon Network, provided if your information is correct, I never heard of that happening. Is there an article I & others can read?

I didn't say CN is getting canned. I think i was saying how CN has to pay WB to air Johnny Test since they had to pay for things like Justice Lague (partly why it was cancelled)

And Johnny Test hasn't been canned yet. There is a possibility it could premire on 4K!DS WB or even CN if ratings are decent.

Meh, be happy Sonic X is still on $K!DS Tails..

Off Topic: I heard that Robert Rodeiguez (Director of Grindhouse, Sin City, and the Spy Kids SerieS) is going to direct a live action movie based on Johnny Wuest. But I think he decided against it though..

So ya, Assuming Tom and Jerry Tales/Scooby and Shaggy Get a Clue!/Legion of Superheroes get renewed, expect them to come to CN (Or Boomerang like Batman)

In my opinion, CN's move to air live action movies was the end of the golden age. From that point, CN's city bumpers were replaced by immature, flash made ones that had red background. Toonami also got a weird revamp, which would have been good if they would have explained the change in a "Total immersion event". So I have to say Everything before 06 was a good time for CN.

CN golden age ended somewhere like 03 when dex ppg were phased out maybe as far as 05 with megas off air. Toonami went to crap especially now that they shrank its time. wtheck is fried dynamite  another turn off. I wonder will kids (5 - 10 yr olds ) of this time will ever grow up to think of this as good times

I agree with you 100 percent Taco. I would rather watch Pokemon Diamond Ad Pearl that watch This site. This show is very horrible. There is not one good thing at all about Johnny Test. It's boring and dull and it just plain stinks. Why bother putting this show up if no one is gonna watch it? I bet it has very low ratings. So they need to do is take off all of there shows that stink and put back all of there shows that got them very high ratings and reviews. Like Power Puff Girls and many others. This is what they should and need to do.

That won't work either. Ever heard of the saying, too much of a good thing, can be bad? Sure, you can bring back all the good shows, but evetually everyone else will get tired of it & lose ratings & money. That's why they rotate their shows after awhile, till the ratings aren't satisfactory there no more. I was hoping they would bring back .Hack after Adult Swim took over Fridays, but that didn't happen. Regardless, Cartoon Network needs to find NEW good shows, or they will find themselves actually canned or replaced. Besides, that's why they have Boomerang, to show older shows that no longer fit on up & coming new shows time slots.

Fried Dynamite, I guess you can say it's Cartoon Cartoon Friday's replacement.

I notice they brought back Couarge the Cowardly Dog, are they looking to make new episodes, or it's just something to fill in for the time being?

It's doubtful Courage will return because the people who voiced Euctace and Muriel died (Euctace's VA actually died before the last season, so that's why he sounded different in the last season)

It's kind of ironic that CN is actually falling in to an even farther 3rd place despite trying to duplicate Nick. I think their best bet is to bring back some series that do well with 6-11 in reruns and just keep airing new stuff to keep kids tunned in (CN regularly has about 10-12 premires a week, which is very good since there are often many weeks where Disney/Nick don't even have a premeire)

I didn't know the Murial voice actor died too..

Nick has to stop spending millions in advertisment, for just 1 single spongebob episode. They go and get burger king to make new toys for every new episode they have now.
