Wednesday- Emo stopped on. It was very early. Thursday- HectorIA joins CZC! Friday- Trunks proposes that the Role Playing board has a master, could it be you? Saturday- Internal Conflict with the newspaper staff halts producton of the newsletters. Nibbles Interviews By: Nibbles So, Pilaf was on. I hope you will all enjoy this. You better. A decent interview ahead. Nibbles: Thank you for taking the time to do this Interview with me, Pilaf. Pilaf: It's no problem at all, Nibbles. In fact, I'd even say I'm honored to be doing this. Nibbles: How so? Pilaf: Well, why me? I mean, sure, I'm a staff member, but why not pick one of the more social ones, like The Raven, or YPG? Just because I'm a staff member doesn't mean that I'm always going to get special privileges or anything. Nibbles: Because I randomly pick members I like to interview, does that answer that question? Pilaf: Essentially, yes. Nibbles: How do you, Pilaf feel about being Co-Admin of CZC? Pilaf: Well, it can get a bit frustrating sometimes, as I can get irritated by stupidity quickly, and it's not really so much of a "social status" as i thought it would be. It's just being a mod at any forum. Honestly, I feel there's no difference between being co-admin and mod. I have access to the admin CP, but I'm not going to change anything drastic since we'd all vote on it and raven would probably be the one to change it. I really just feel like a member that has the power to do what we all want: to get rid of those annoying threads. Nibbles: So, how do you feel about the current Staff team without Julie being around that often? Pilaf: Well, by the time I joined the staff, she hadn't been around much anyway. As a staff member, and the team itself, I feel that they're doing a good job, but it feels kind of empty without her. Sometimes I feel like the queen is away, and the bishops are seizing power without her consent. Not that I feel we're corrupt or anything, I just sometimes think that we're making too many changes without Julie around. Nibbles: Not trying to stir up any staff drama, but would you add/remove anyone to the staff? Pilaf: Well, if Chris wasn't so important in terms of just what he's done for the staff, I'd think about removing him due to inactivity... Nibbles: Now, how do you feel about the CZC Newsletters and the CZC Newspapers? Pilaf: Newspapers take a lot of work: the first 20 or so were done very well, but when Jazzy's life started getting in the way, all she did were random lists. What I REALLY liked about the paper was what knowing what was going on in czc's life, with the members outside the forums as well (i.e. IMs)-- but after that went away, it was just a bunch of arbitrary lists, because she spent all her time formatting. I like the newsletters because they're going back to what I like: informative text, instead of silly graphics. Nibbles: What do you do in your spare time while you are not log into CZC? Pilaf: A few things; lately I've been playing a lot of World of Warcraft, but I still play Naruto Arena occasionally, and I DO have a social life. Nibbles: Any members at CZC that you really like, or dislike? Pilaf: Well, I think we all know I'm not the biggest fan of PPG, but what a lot of members don't know is that I really respect YPG and tend to listen to what he says about just about anything. Nibbles: What kind of music does the almighty Pilaf listen too? Pilaf: Oh wow, just about everything. Right now I'm listening to some psytrance, but... A couple of years ago, my friend really turned me on to trance. I pretty much only listened to that for about a year, when I started stretching out my own music tastes, and realllly got into happy hardcore. Happy Hardcore is the sort of music you'd hear at a rave. But I do listen to all sorts of things, from indie-rock to mainstream rap and everything in-between. Nibbles: How do you feel about Malach and his blogs? Pilaf: I think that if we're going to read his blog, we're going to read it. He has an RSS feed, and doesn't need to make the forums another one, especially in 2 or 3 topics. I check it every once in a while, but not because he linked it in the forums Nibbles: Do you play Neopets? Pilaf: I used to, but only to trade for orbit. I find it a relatively boring game. Nibbles: Which would you rather use and why, Wordpad or Notepad? Pilaf: I have a mac, actually, but I use something similar to wordpad, called textedit. It's a very simple word processor, but it lets you do colors and formatting and spacing etc.. But I am a little partial to notepad, as it is the programmer's word processor of choice. Nibbles: What were your first reactions when you became moderator for the first time? Pilaf: Well, I was very excited. I'd always wanted to be a mod, and this was at a point where A. CZC was in total chaos, and B. I had been doing a lot of rebelling myself. Then I spent a day working my butt off taking care of the forums, and realized that being a mod isn't just a fancy title, and that they had the rules they had for a reason. Nibbles: Do you think if Julie came back to CZC, More members would join? Pilaf: I think if she came back and was ACTIVE, more old members would come back. I don't think we'd get new members until fusion fall came out, but I think we'd be at least a bit closer to our old glory. Nibbles: What are the future plans for CZC? Pilaf: I'm not at liberty to say. Nibbles: Any questions you would like to ask me? Pilaf: No, Not at all. Nibbles: Do you have anymore remarks for the people reading this interview? Youre actully right on that, Me and jazzy didnt do anything for this issue, I just relesed it before they quit. Its really sad to see that they will be no longer made since me and jazzy cant do it alone. |
