In January 24, 2006, Butch Hartman announced the decision made by Nickelodeon to cancel the production of Danny Phantom, giving the show 53 episodes in three seasons. The dedicated fans of the program as a result fought to keep the show and produce more episodes. They produced mottos, such as “Save the ghost we love the most!", had dozens of requests signed, and sent hundreds of letters, as well as voice for more merchandise of Danny Phantom, all in an order to convince Nickelodeon that the program is sufficient enough to justify more episodes. In July 2006 a rally was held near Viacom's Offices in New York City to try to save the program. Another rally is planned for 2007. Despite these protests, the production of Danny Phantom finished in February 2007, with no plans for future episodes. ^ From Wikipedia. |

I'm half sad and half glad that this show is/or got canceled. It was a good show but it could have been a lot better. And I always get my information from Wikipedia. It is somewhat accurate. Not all the time tho. |

I knew this sence febuary.. Lol It is very disapointing, danny phantom adn fairly odd parents were two very succesful shows.. and then he just cancels them. Well i will miss new epos but re-rusns will be playing |

Well 3 years ago nick asked for a super hero type kid and butch gave them Danny Phantom and what do they do, 2 years into production, they decide to end, why? Because nick was under new management and also have you guys not noticed? they also got rid of the slime that they had been using for years, and just last year they, got rid of it, and also Butch was also pushed by nick to hurry it up with the episodes and he also had to cut out a lot of stuff he animated and butch wanted to continue but Sponge Bob is their number one kid show and its more childish then I remember, why? Because nick is focusing on the kids and they are showing stupid kid shows after Nick Jr like, well they have too kiddy stuff, I like wayside though *cricket chirping* what? It adorable, any who where was I? ah yes, Sponge Bob used to be focused on every day life like “Krusty Love” and “bubble stand” and all the wonderful stuff , but now, its focused on kids… End Truthful Rant |

New management huh? Well whoever it is is terrible. Where are the cartoons that take a leap towards something new? Invader Zim = cancelled, Avatar = lame anime poser, Spongebob = stupid sellout, and Butch Hartman = quitter. So what good show or any show at all does that leave for Nick? Its been years since I've sat down and honestly felt like watching Nick. |

Well Shelb, Fairly Odd parents ARE due for another 20 New Episodes, and they are in production. Nick HAS changed alot like Michelle said. Nick used to be mostly slime the kids/ Game shows (Double Dare, What would you do, Wild and Crazy Kids). The early cartoon days of nick saw roco's modern life, Ren and Stimpy, and other great classics but now? Oh man.... I know im now 20 years old, and that may seem old to be watching nick, but to tell the truth good cartoons dont stop being good and funny. It seems like now that every time a good cartoon comes up, it gets cancelled by nick or something happens to increse its demise (Invador Zim). The Shows NOW: (AVATAR) really isnt that bad ppl, its discussed in anime conventions, and its creators used My neighbor totoro as an insperation to the art style of the show (Is it true anime? No but it straddles the fine line between the two). (SPONGEBOB) is prob nicks biggest lifesaver when it comes to $$$ right now, was it good once? Yes, but the episodes ARE leaning more towards kids now. NAKED BROTHERS BAND - Totally Fake losers, nough said... Mr. Meaty - Im still waiting For brian henson (Son of the creator of the muppets) To sue the crap out of the people who made Mr. meaty :D . Kappa mikey - Actully this is a good show, I like the whole it being a show within a show thing. |

The writer could care less about stupid little dp fans. Believe it or not, they had a rally in ney york. It's not because nick was in new management!!! It's cos butch dosn't give a crud about this. The best part is, the voice overs for episode 53 were finished a long time ago. I read it in something at the website. |

^ Actully Butch does care more than nick, he just chose to move onto other things, sorta like the saying "LIFE MOVES ON". Are there shows that got cancelled that I liked? yes. Are they going to bring back shows once they are cancelled? No (Unless you have lots of $$$ or have like 10,000,000 people to sogn a petition of yours lol) |
