beta 3.1 i assume but it just got an huge update and its awesome now.

PRIVATE BATTLES ON NA:

Step 1:
-- Go to www.naruto-arena.com - this is the main page of this website. You have to be on this page to begin with if you want to private battle somebody.

Step 2:
-- Open up the game index (in another window or tab) like you normally would in battle, except just leave it without going into battle or chossing characters. The url is www.naruto-arena.com/game/index.php

Step 3:
-- Now from the main page that you should have left up, enter:
http://www.naruto-arena.com/game/engine.php?type=private&username=sasuke270
into the address bar and hit enter. Obviously instead of sasuke270 you would enter the name of the opponent you wish to fight. Once you enter the url with the person you want to fight, you should get a screen saying:
&private=found&completed=true&
This means that you have done it correctly. Both you and your opponent need to do this, and need to be at the end of step 3 before going on to the next step.

Step 4:
-- Now that you and your opponent have both done this, you can enter the battle as you normally would (from the game index you opened earlier). The game engine will ignore all competitors that are not the user you entered in the url, and keep searching until it finds that opponent. You can not enter yourself as your opponent in the url, or you will get a different message and it will just not work. Also it helps to be closer to your opponent in rank, as the engine will search for playes near your rank and then check the name against ur request, then move out in range.

ANIMATED AVATARS ON NA:

Step 1:
-- Have firefox installed as your browser. For those of you who dont know, Firefox is a browser much like internet explorer, and is the only way you can upload animated avatars to this site. Firefox can be found at www.firefox.com and does not need to be installed as your default browser, but is necessary for the final stages of the uploading. Firefox is free to download.

Step 2:
-- Aquire a gif file from the internet (or make one) that is under 100KB and has the dimensions 75x75. This is a MUST since naruto-arena can only upload files that fit these requirements. You can resize gifs using certain programs but the one I use is probably not in your possession. Save the gif file to your computer. Make a copy of the file to use as your uploadable one. Keep the original in case anything goes wrong.

Step 3:
-- You will now need to rename the gif so naruto-arena will recognise it as uploadable, as it will not upload gif files as they are now. You need to make it a jpg without stopping the animation of the avatar, and the only way to do this is to change the file extension. To change it's extension, right-click on the file where you saved it and select rename (or alternatively, select the file and press F2) and change the filename from avatar.gif (or whatever it was called) to avatar.jpg and press enter. Your computer will now see this as a jpg but it will still technically be a gif file. DO NOT OPEN THE NEW JPG as this might have undesired results.

Step 4:
-- Now you can upload. Go to www.naruto-arena.com/change-avatar and under the upload section click browse. Find the new jpg file and upload it as your new avatar.
