more copy-cats:
Spaceballs - Star Wars
Men in Tights - Robin Hood
History of the World - ...the world... ;)

Those aren't copy-cats they are spoofs. Just like Austin Powers is a spoof of James Bond.

All superhero cartoons originate from the original Super Friends and all othe DC and Marvel comic book heros.

But one very original show is The Simpsons. It was first cartoon for adults. Now there is an entire nighttime of shows that branch off this idea.

All modern forms of entertainment are copies of ealier forms. They haven't had an original thought in Hollywood in 20 years.

Spoof, copy-cat, what's the difference? ;)

Here's one you wouldn't expect: a movie copies a book. No, the movie isn't based off the book, they took the idea.
Farheneit 451 (book) - Equilibrium (movie)
awesome movie, okay book.
