Posted ImageFOR THE CARTOON ORBIT CROWD By Ðãrk_Ångê£
- After that Awful Orbit Closing prank (which I fell for) I have been having doubts about Cartoon Orbit being opened for another 2 years...
:( Its gone down hill so much and theres not that many player as there used to be... I think cartoon orbit has the most loyal members though...
^_^ I've been playing since I was 12... I really wish there was something that we could do for cartoon orbit to help...
Still, no new codes or cToons... gToons is going steady... It keeps the game of Cartoon Orbit more alive, I've been seeing a lot of gToons tournaments Auctions are the place to be and the cToon showcases are filled with n00bs and already released cToons <__<
*Sigh*

Posted ImageOut With the Old and in With the New By PrinceAmir- I think we should bring back the old czc fun. Even though old memebrs arent here lets forget about the past and make it fun now the reason ppl arent having fun is because they are messin the old times well i say forget the old times NOWS THE TIME to relive new fun things and talk about it for another 2 years.
Posted ImageBaseball Preview By Kevinthegreat- So, I decided to write a baseball preview. Hope you enjoy reading if you’re a big baseball fan. Even if you are just a casual fan or someone that wants to learn about baseball you may enjoy this since it’ll educate you about next season!
Key: *=Wild Card Winner (#)=Playoff Seed
AL East 1. Boston Red Sox (1) 2. Toronto Blue Jays (4)* 3. New York Yankees 4. Baltimore Orioles 5. Tampa Bay Devil Rays
- The Boston Red Sox probably have the most question marks on the team but in my opinion, they have the most powerful offense. The addition of Coco Crisp will add youth to the lineup, better speed and defense, something Johnny Damon lacked. David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez return and are ready to do sensational again. An acquisition that may get overlooked is the acquisition of Mark Loretta. Being a career .300 hitter, he’ll be able to help the Red Sox. The pitching staff is revamped with the additions of Josh Beckett and a healthy Curt Schilling too. Expect future studs Jon Lester and Jonathan Papelbon to crack the rotation later in the season. The Blue Jays in second and as the Wild Card may be a surprise, but look a little closer. Led by Roy Halladay, the Blue Jays have by far the best rotation in the AL East and picked up a great closer in BJ Ryan. The Yankees did acquire Johnny Damon, but quite frankly what can he do for him? Damon has a bad shoulder and is hurting. Plus players like Aaron Small and Shawn Chacon overachieved last season. Randy Johnson, Mike Mussina, Jorge Posada, Gary Sheffield are all on the verge of declining too so expect the Yankees run to end this year. As for the Orioles and Devil Rays, it is not there time, yet atleast. Though Lee Mazzone will dramatically help the Orioles pitching staff and the Devil Rays are just getting closer and closer to being great.
AL Central 1. Cleveland Indians (2) 2. Minnesota Twins 3. Chicago White Sox 4. Detroit Tigers 5. Kansas City Royals
- The Cleveland Indians are for real this season. Despite trading leadoff man Coco Crisp to the Red Sox, the Indians acquired Jason Michaels from the Phillies. Sizemore got the big contract extension he deserved and is bound to have an MVP type year this season. Not only that, Travis Hafner, an MVP Candidate last season will be back with more support this year. Shortstop Jhonny Peralta, still a young player, is getting better too. Same case with catcher Victor Martinez proved he was a top catcher last season as well, hitting over .300 and hitting over 20 homeruns. In return for Coco Crisp the Indians got more than enough in future stud third baseman Andy Marte. Expect him to be playing everyday by the end of the season. This Indians team is so young and I haven’t even gotten to the pitching staff yet. CC Sabathia is bound to explode this year. He has an incredible fastball and is a force on the mound. I foresee him being a 20 game winner and Cy Young candidate. As for the Twins, this team has potential as well. Justin Morneau fell back last year and how well will Joe Mauer bounce back from injury? That remains to be seen. The pitching staff is still led by stud Johan Santana and Francisco Liriano, a player like Johan, will be up at the start at the season. The pitching staff is great, but I don’t think the offense is good enough, yet. What about the White Sox? World Series Champions, why are they in third? In my opinion the team overachieved last season. The White Sox lost great center fielder Aaron Rowand which will hurt the team a lot defensively and with a bat. Plus, do we really expect Jermaine Dye to hit over 30 homeruns again at this age? What about Scott Podsednik? He did nothing great before last year. Oh, sure, Jose Contreras looked like a stud last year, but he was awful previously. Expect this team to be a huge bust this year.
AL West 1. Los Angeles Angels (3) 2. Oakland Athletics 3. Seattle Mariners 4. Texas Rangers
- I feel this is a very, very strong division. It’s very good top to bottom but the Los Angeles Angels are on a different level. Led by stud Vladimir Guerrero and Mr. Flexible Chone Figgins, the Angels have a very potent offense. It might not be that scariest looking one of all, but it works and meshes will, Vladimir being the heart of it. The pitching staff shines with young closer Francisco Rodriguez who has arguably the best slider in the game. Coming before him the Angels have a great bullpen with Brendan Donnelly, J.C. Romero and Scott Shields. The starting rotation is led by Cy Young winner Bartolo Colon. But besides him, watch out for Ervin Santana who is often compared to Pedro Martinez. In second place I have the Oakland Athletics. This team has one of the best pitching staffs in baseball, but I don’t feel a staff like that is even good enough with its lackluster offense. Eric Chavez is really the only great player in this lineup. And unless Frank Thomas bounces back from his past few seasons, this offense is going no where. The Mariners have a very interesting team in my opinion and could possibly steal second place. Last year the M’s acquired start infielder Adrian Beltre and he was a bust for the most part of the season. But towards the end he started to heat it up and I foresee him taking that into this year. This team has a very, very good offense besides Beltre with the likes of Richie Sexson, Ichiro Suzuki, Jeremy Reed and possibly rookie Kenji Johjima. The pitching staff is weak though, but its lead by phenomenon Felix Hernandez who I feel will have a huge year. In last I have the Rangers; they’re basically the opposite of the Athletics; plenty of hitting, but no pitching.
NL East 1. New York Mets (2) 2. Philadelphia Phillies (4)* 3. Atlanta Braves 4. Washington Nationals 5. Florida Marlins
- This is the year for the Mets to shine and end the Braves Division run, in my opinion. I expect Jose Reyes and David Wright to break out of their shells and have big years. Along with those two Carlos Beltran should be able to play like the stud he used to be and Carlos Delgado should be hitting plenty of homeruns under the lights at Shea Stadium. Last year the bullpen blew a lot of games for the Mets but that won’t happen this year with last year’s emergence of Aaron Heilman and the signing of Billy Wagner. Wagner is a stud closer and will shut the door night in and night out for the Mets. The rotation is old, but Pedro Martinez can still throw it as can Tom Glavine. I have the Phillies for one simple reason: Ryan Howard. This man is a flat out stud and will carry this team to the playoffs. Plus, besides Howard, acquiring Aaron Rowand from the White Sox was huge and will help them out a lot. He brings a solid bat and amazing defense. Bobby Abreu, Pat Burrell and Jimmy Rollins, three long time Phillies, will still play a large role for this team as well. The pitching staff is solid as well, but nothing to make your mouth drop to the floor. I don’t even think the last three teams are worth mentioning in the race at all. I feel like the Braves are done. With the departure of Lee Mazzone this entire pitching staff is in trouble. Yeah, the team still has Marcus Giles and Andruw Jones but Andruw chokes in the clutch. Giles can’t carry this team, so can’t Andruw. Jeff Francouer was nothing but an overachiever last season. From the Nationals I expect another awful year and watch out for the Marlins to get the #1 pick in the draft. It’ll be interesting to see how the young, future stars perform for the Marlins though.
NL Central 1. St. Louis Cardinals (1) 2. Houston Astros 3. Milwaukee Brewers 4. Pittsburgh Pirates 5. Chicago Cubs 6. Cincinnati Reds
- Albert Pujols. I should just stop there, what’s the point of continuing? Albert Pujols is a flat out stud and should win another MVP Award this season. I don’t think the Cardinals will be as good as they were last season, but still great enough to win the division. Chris Carpenter showed what he could do last year, though I don’t feel he’ll repeat that performance and the pitching staff outside of him is still great with Mark Mulder in it. The bullpen isn’t that good outside of closer Jason Isringhausen starting five will have to perform well. I’m interested to see how former star pitching prospect Rick Ankiel does in right field for the Cardinals this year, if he gets a chance to play. The rest of the division isn’t really that good in my opinion. The Astros have the hitting with Lance Berkman, Willy Taveras and Morgan Ensberg, but with Roger Clemens out of town I don’t think the pitching can get them to the playoffs. Same case with the Brewers, they have the hitting but not the pitching. And the Pirates, it’s pretty much the opposite with them. This team has a great pitching staff with guys like Zach Duke, Oliver Perez and Sean Burnett but the hitting is flat out bad. It may be a surprise to some I have the Cubs in 5th place but when Mark Prior and Kerry Wood get injured all the time it’s kind of tough to trust this team. I expect Derrek Lee to stop overachieving too. With the Reds, once again, this team has the offense but not the pitching to have a chance.
NL West 1. Los Angeles Dodgers (3) 2. San Diego Padres 3. Colorado Rockies 4. Arizona Diamondbacks 5. San Francisco Giants
- This division is probably the weakest in baseball and the Dodgers might be able to win the division without even winning 85 games. I think they’ll win more than that though. The Dodgers made the headlines a lot this offseason signing former Red Sox players Nomar Garciaparra, Bill Mueller and even manager Grady Little. But the biggest signing of all was getting former Brave Rafael Furcal. He brings much needed speed and experience to this team. The pitching is led by Derek Lowe and Brad Penny who’ll have good years for the Dodgers. Eric Gagne is said to be fully healthy and should do amazing for the Dodgers again. Behind the Dodgers I have the Padres. Losing Mark Loretta and Roman Hernandez hurts this team so expect them to only win about 75 games. Jake Peavy is still a stud and will keep them respectable atleast. You can’t really say much about the rest of the division. The Rockies have Coors that makes the offense look great at times, but the pitching staff is flat out bad, in Coors Field or not. The Diamondbacks aren’t ready to win the World Series again, not yet atleast; the prospects need time to develop. In last I have the Bonds’, or rather the Giants. One player can’t help that team, not even Bonds.
Playoffs: ALDS- Boston over Los Angeles Cleveland over Toronto
ALCS- Boston over Cleveland
NLDS- St. Louis over Philadelphia New York over Los Angeles
NLCS- New York over St. Louis
WORLD SERIES- Boston over New York
Awards: MVP: AL- Vladimir Guerrero (Angels) NL- Albert Pujols (Cardinals)
CY YOUNG: AL- Felix Hernandez (Mariners) NL- Jake Peavy (Padres)
ROTY: AL- Francisco Liriano (Twins) NL- Ryan Zimmerman (Nationals)
MANAGER: AL- Eric Wedge (Indians) NL- Willie Randolph (Mets)
Other Predictions: Watch out for Ryan Howard this year, I have a feeling it'll be him and Pujols in the NL MVP Race. In the AL, Jon Lester for the Red Sox should be called up mid season...watch out. And though I have Liriano has the ROY winner, watch out for Justin Verlander too, it'll be a very tight race. And another guy to watch in the NL is Matt Cain, many compare him to Felix Hernandez, he just needs to control his pitches.
Well, I hope you enjoyed my baseball preview. Have fun watching baseball season because I know I will!
