This and this can help with colors. For the first link, you can use MS paint to find out the RGB value, by clicking on "colors" and then "Edit Colors". Then click "Define Custom Colors>>" And you'll see a color matrix. You can choose colors and greys, and on the side you can choose brightness. The second link works like the forementioned color matrix.

You can use almost any color as long as you know either the name or hex code for it.
