Autism is something youre born with so they are right when they say no matter what you get on the test you can never have it.
That is not completely true:

1. Autism generally does not show up in children until their early toddler years, 2 - 3

2. While there is strong evidence that Autism has a genetic connection, that is not completely proven. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Causes_of_autism

3. There are cases where adults having acquire the measles and the mumps at the same time developing Adult Onset Autism

As for Apergers. That is a more recent diagnosis (1994 became official), and there are now tons of adults who when they were young might of been diagnosed with it. Instead they were labeled as weird.
