Alright I'll clear this up. The creator clearly stated that Goku is a saiyan (an alien) from outer space. Just because the anime was made from Japan doesn't mean the characters have to be. Sure there is asian influence throughout said anime, but that has no proof the characters are actually "asian". That's like saying "Why is Piccolo green?" They are aliens, and race has nothing to do with characters. If the actor can pull it off, then they got my vote. As I said before, the creator did state there is asian influence for it to be somewhere in Asia. But he didn't say it was Asia. |
