They've gone down the past week but I'm sure they'll go up again either later today or tomorrow for the long weekend. In the long run though I think they'll gradually go down this fall assuming: a) The hurricane season remains quiet and fizzles out b) nothing major happens in the middle east |

Oil is only going to crawl higher and higher untill it forces the world to turn to other means of Energy and its already happening around the world, Brazil is expected to to Oil Independant by 2010, and Canada is really putting a push of Hybrid and Ethanol Fuels. right now gass with go down for a while, untill OPEC comes up with some other excuses toi jack the prices up. I forgot that in other places in Canada gas prises can change daily, in newfoundland we have a Pricing Commission, Gas can only be raised or Dropped within 48 hours notice and every 1st and 15th of the month they use a Interruption Formula to Adjust the prices either up or down, the prices cannot change without 48 hours notice, alos gas bars cannot set their own prices, all gas bars in the City are under the 1 zone and all prices in that zone at the same, there are 5 zones thoughout Newfoundland and all Gas Bars must have the same prices as others in that zone, and the prices at set by the Pricing commission, its a good system cause it prevents gas wars and sudden hikes in gas prices. |

yeah here they can change multiple times a day without any warnings. There's a few gas stations though that lower the price by about 2 cents for an hour or so around 10 pm most nights. |

thats what pisses me off, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia Produces more oil and gas than any other place in Canada other than Alberta, but yet we have the highest gas prices while provinces that produce nothing like Ontario have some of the lowest. |

yea its close to $2.50 in the UK I believe, but they don't produce much oil at all, thats why it cost them so much cause they have to import it from other countries, but Newfoundland doesn't, yet we still get raped. |
