NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CP) -- The Nashville Predators continued to load up this off-season, agreeing to terms with free-agent winger J.P. Dumont.

A source told The Canadian Press on Tuesday that the deal was still being finalized but was expected to pay him $4.5 million US over two years.

The 28-year-old Montreal native became an unrestricted free agent earlier this month when the Buffalo Sabres exercised their walk-away rights after he was awarded a $2.9-million, one-year deal in arbitration.

Dumont, who made $1.596 million last season, has 121 goals and 135 assists in 434 career games with Chicago and Buffalo. He had 20 goals and 20 assists in 54 games last season.

The Predators also signed star centre Jason Arnott and winger Josef Vasicek earlier this off-season, joining an offence that already included Paul Kariya, Steve Sullivan and Scott Hartnell.
