Big Winners: -Pittsburgh (Gonchar, LeClair, Palffy, Thibault, Andre Roy, Crosby...) -Flyers (Forsberg, Hatcher, Rathje and the managed to re-sign Gagne) -Boston (managed to keep Thorton and Glen Murray, and sign Zhamnov and Leetch) -Columbus (re-signed Nash and got Adam Foote and Brian Berard) -Edmonton (Pronger and Peca) -Calgary (re-signed Iginla and Kiprusoff. Got Amonte, Darren McCarty, and Hamrlik) Chicago has also improved a lot, but I still think they'll be a crappy team. Nashville has also really toughened up their D. Big Losers -Colorado -Minnesota (they didn't really sign or loose anyone, but they're style of play will be totally affected by the new rules) -New Jersey -NY Rangers -Washington -Buffalo -San Jose -Phoenix But with that list I'm not saying that I think teams like Pittsburgh, Columbus and Edmonton will be some of the elite teams in the NHL, nor am I saying that Colorado or New Jersey will suck this year. |

Pittsburgh and Philly to me were the most improved teams in the offseason. But still got to go out and show it. |

Yep the Flyers have improved very much especially grabbing Forsberg. As for Pitsburgh, they've done well to especially drafting Crosby, but remember he can't win the cup alone. Although now Evengi Malkin is being an asshole and is staying in Russia. He says that he was going to compete with Ovechkin (sp?) and Crosby for the Calder Cup, but his agents told him it'd be easier to win it in a year. Shows that he cares about the team. The Rangers have done alright especially drafting Marc Staal for example. But after hearing what other Rangers fans have to say they don't like the fact how Sather put Jarome Jagr infront of the team. |
