It's now underway

Any predictions?

I'll go with Federer on the men's side, and Clijsters on the women's side.

A year after winning her first grand slam title at the U.S. Open, Svetlana Kuznetsova suffered the humiliation of becoming the first defending women's champion to lose in the first round on Monday.

Feder won 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 today. If that's not complete domination, I don't know what is.

I'm going out on a limb and pick Roddick and Davenport to win it. I guess not out on a limb but Federer is the overwhelming choice to win it.

That guy Federer played didn't look that good.

What happened with Serena and that earring? I didn't catch the full story.

I watched the Nadal/Jenkins match last night on TV. Nadal won it straight sets but it was still pretty close. I can't imagine having to play until after 12:30 at night though. That's got to be rough.

Sharapova's through to the 4th round. She'll play Sania Mirza. She's the first Indian woman to ever reach the last 16 of a grand slam event.

The Women's matches are far more exciting and unpredictable than the Men's.

I agree. Plus the men's matches go on for so long sometimes. Because of those (and the other obvious reason) ;wink; I would say I probably like watching women's tennis more than men's.

OMG OMG ELENA!! ;eek; Poor Lindsey, it was a great match.

M Sharapova (1) [RUS] vs K Clijsters (4) [BEL]

Maria vs Clijsters!! Again, this proves the women's matches are far more exciting.

R Ginepri [USA] vs A Agassi (7) [USA]

Another US battle. GO ANDRE, I hope he wins this tournament, because his career is coming to the end, and I want him to win something big.

It's amazing,'' Pierce said. ``I'm 30, 17th year on the tour, and there's still firsts for me. That's pretty exciting.
