http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/draft/ The Canucks got a great player in Luc Bourdon. I was hoping they'd get Brule but he went 6th to Columbus. He'll be awesome there playing with Rick Nash. There were rumours last night that the Canucks were going to trade Ryan Kessler to Anaheim for the #2 pick so they could get Brule. I'm glad they didn't do that though. I think it's much better to keep Kessler. |

The Leafs made a draft day trade to get Jeff O'Neill... very nice deal. |

About Bourdon. This kid was quite impressive at the World Under 18. I seem to recall him being rated ahead of Jack Johnson at one point. I guess we gotta look at a new generation of D after the Ohlund and Jovo reign. With Bieksa and Bourdon in the pipes, it might not be a bad idea drafting this kid, especially now with the new rules making it a premium on mobile puck moving d-men. I like his size and skating, not too mention he's a pretty good hitter as well. I just remember being impressed with him at the World Under 18. Glad to have him. Very suprising when the Habs drafted a goaltender! that sure did piss off many Habs fans. |
