The Prisoner's Dilemma... or variations of it... have come up in soooooooo many of my courses in my first 2 years of university. It's a very interesting concept, and takes a lot of considerations. A very neat thing to be sure.

The Cancer for the Cure
The last post in this topic was almost one year ago. I am reviving it for the purpose of making a near-useless comment. That makes me a horrible person, but you know what? I like it. ^_^

I was reading Louis Pojman's "Ethics", and this came up as part of his discourse about why it's important to be moral. The prisoner's dilemma is a really excellent exemplar to use for concepts, whether it's game theory, Nash equilibrium or Ethics. Good on you for posting about it. Damn me for missing it when you posted it last year. :D

haha yeah, I guess last year I didn't explain any thoughts in the first post because I thought a discussion would develop or something. It's funny that you dug this thread up. I'm a psychology major so this type of thing interests me.

OoooOoOOOo a psychologist in our midst. CG Jung and all those interesting fellows. Well well.... *Has no actual content for this post*

So, you enjoy studying psychology? It's something I'd considered pursuing myself, until I became so frustrated with sciences and fled to the refuge of the arts and philosophy.
