POTATOES!
|
I actually read this to my little brother. Hopefully I didn't warp his mind. Sweet Baby The history books are yours to write, The museums are yours to paint, So get out your brush, sweet baby, For the world ahead is blank. And perhaps you'll see violence, Before you see humanity, But that's how the wind blows, baby, So hitch a ride on reality. They say whatever doesn't kill you, Only makes you stronger, So toughen up those muscles, They may make you last longer. So speak your loudest, child, Let the world hear your song, And if someone puts you down, Just tell them that they're wrong. Remember not to do something, If the risk is greater than the reward, An adrenaline rush is fine, If it doesn't land you in the morgue. Don't get caught up in the drama, The fads or the fame, They always come with drawbacks, And you don't want that pain. And whenever you feel doubtful, Don't forget what Mama said, And repeat this every night, As you rest your little head: The history books are yours to write, The museums are yours to paint, So get out your brush, sweet baby, For the world ahead is blank. |

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. And yeah, I get sick of the mushy love poems from time to time, but there are some good ones every once in a while. Too bad I can't write a good one XP |

:) You're welcome. You will never know the influence you will have on him. I have 2 older sisters, one 10 years older and the other 5, that have been a huge influence on me. I always never want to let them down and make them proud. |
