"NEW YORK (Reuters) - Veteran newsman Dan Rather, embroiled in a recent journalism scandal about President George W. Bush's service in the National Guard during the Vietnam War, will resign in March as the CBS network's top news anchor, the network says."....

I wonder who will replace him. Isn't the guy from NBC, Tom Brokaw stepping down soon as well?

I am not sure who will replace Rather. But it is about time for him to retire. Is Brokaw retiring too? NBC will have no problem replacing him.

I'm assuming Brokaw is retiring. NBC aired a two hour special on his carreer tonight. I watched part of it. It was interesting. It was kind of just a rundown through history of the last 20 years or so.

I believe Brian Williams will be taking over for Brokaw.

Did you hate him or something?

Brian Williams -- is he the guy on CNBC now?

There's a brodcaster here in Canada too named Brian Williams, who does sports for CBC. I know it's obviously not him.

Brian Williams does some news for NBC, CNBC and MSNBC. I think he is on like Primetime Live sometimes too.

CBS does need a younger face, maybe a female.

I didn't realize Peter Jennings, the guy on ABC is quite old too. I don't think he'll stick around much longer either.
