This whole censorship thing seems pretty stupid to me.

All the big, main TV networks here so stuff way worse than this all the time. CTV shows the Sopranos and other edgy shows uncut (They've also shown SPR a few times). CBC shows tons of documentaries and mini series' about drugs etc, that contain nudity and swearing. And then there's CityTV, which shows tons of movies, all of them uncut. All of these are the basic channels here and pretty much all of this stuff is shown during primetime. Whenever they show a clip of the Janet Jackson fiasco, it's pretty much always unedited. Even with local news they show complete nudity. A while a go a store in downtown Vancouver had this deal where the first 50 people to come into the store naked would get clothes for free. All the news channels were there, and in all of their newscasts they showed everything.

Anyways, that's my rant of the night.

The first half hour of that movie is pretty grisly. But, being on those beaches, I am sure it was pretty accurate. It was a historic story. Not so much of the search for Ryan, but the invasion.

I was upset that they didn't show it. It is a great movie and should be shown. Like you said, there are a lot of bad things on TV right now. But, censorship seems to be the way it is going for now.
