[dohtml]<img src="http://i.imgur.com/okzFtnq.png" style="float: right;">[/dohtml]HORUS "THE OWL" OSBOURNE Birth Name: Horus Octavian Osbourne Ring Names: Horus "The Owl" Osbourne, Zero Rush, Kurse Billed Height: 6'2" Billed Weight: 238 lbs. Born: February 12th, 1981 (age 36) Termonfeckin, Ireland Billed From: The United Kingdom Trained By: [NOT ESTABLISHED] Gimmick Summary: Owl-themed Hero. Former Gimmicks: Indulgent Anti-Hero (Zero Rush), Agent of Change (Kurse). HISTORY Born in Termonfeckin, Ireland the eighth son of notorious carouser Zed Osbourne, Horus Octavian Osbourne was raised all over the United Kingdom, primarily in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. He was frequently picked on by his half-brothers, all but two single brothers and one set of twins each born to a different mother as well. Horus was bookish and meek, while his uproarious brethren were all loud, proud footballers, rugby players, and other enthusiasts of physical arts who took much more after their father. In fact, Horus is the only member of his family to graduate from college; a Bachelor's degree in Literature under his belt, Horus returned home for a holiday before finding a proper career only to succumb once again to the teasing and tormenting of his brothers and father. He had taken his last noogie; suffered his last insult lying down, and been the victim in his final fight. No more. Horus hit the gym and began training. Leaving his family behind he instead decided to break into the world of professional wrestling where he could defend the meek, protect the defenseless, and stand tall in the face of every bully and villain that dared cross the tender-hearted. Horus began his crusade in NGIW, investing his life savings in the business to ensure his employment there. He achieved moderate success in his first stint; a brief Red Crown of Rage championship run and a successful (if not extended) campaign against the especially wicked Kursur. His greatest pride is the relationship he formed with fellow NGIW wrestler and possibly the most meek of all; Lucas Torres. They were in instant sensation, bringing in reality TV fans and twice as many female viewers and proving to be a great boon to NGIW's ratings. When NGIW temporarily folded Horus dropped off the professional map, retiring to manage a small book store in Stratford-Upon-Avon where he was known to offer advice to the troubled youths who would find solace in his store's familiar atmosphere. After a new run-in with his family, Horus was yet again left disappointed in the bullies and bastards of the world. NGIW had also picked up again, so Horus moved in to ply his trade there... not as a simple hero, but a plant to tear down the newest bullies on the block from the inside. Donning the mask as Kurse (an obvious play on and allusion to his former nemesis Kursur) he struck a deal with Edmond Graves as Tier to do [R]'s bidding and help them with their success. Tier didn't trust Horus' intentions and kept him out of many of [R]'s affairs and even put him to several tests of trust and faith up to and including having Kurse work against his estranged boyfriend Lucas. He begrudgingly agreed until the demands reached their boiling point; a triple-threat match against a lone Lucas Torres. Kurse revealed himself and switched sides, fighting for Lucas and his old ideals. Lucas, however, was not interested in Horus' advances. He had felt abandoned and taken advantage of. It was a long and tumultuous series of events that led them to join together once again, partially thanks to the help of Horus' friend and mentor in the wrestling business, Gene Foster. Lucas' no-nonsesne, dominant, sexually predatory attitude began to disturb Horus and tensions between them reached a second head. In order to appease Lucas' newfound lust for dominance, Horus faked an extended arm injury (though there was an original injury) and after coming clean about it he and Lucas officially broke up. Happily, thanks to some advice from former FIW wrestler Havok, Horus didn't leave the business as a whole and instead stuck around as a manager and attempted to work things out with Lucas. After jealousy flared up at the apparent presence of a new man in Lucas' life (NGIW wrestler PiG, then known as SLAG) Horus and Lucas made up once again and remain together to this day. Despite the intermittent drama and arguments any couple faces the couple stays strong; Lucas trying to reconcile his dark side and Horus standing as a rock to anchor his love to. For some time, Horus was a practical and successful manager and had brought two NGIW Contenderships to Nightmare, several contenderships to Bloodbath McGrath, and the Red Crown of Rage to Lucas Torres in his tenure. He sat with careful eyes on [R], especially with their newfound fair-weather ally Kursur, but primarily focused on the success of his clients. Soon after, Nightmare departed from NGIW and wrestling as a whole. Following the arrival of Kursur sympathiser Zero Rush who converted Lucas to his way of thinking, Horus disbanded the Organized Wrestlers League and declared that he would be the one to bring justice to NGIW. This return to action was short-lived and ultimately fruitless, and Horus left the federation to handle some things in his homeland. Meanwhile, Zero Rush was left to woo Lucas Torres, fight for gay rights, aid Kursur and make any impact he could on the NGIW crowd. Eventually, Zero also disappeared to the mists and for quite some time neither man was seen until the 2012 Hallowe'en party where Zero Rush made an appearance and unmasked to reveal himself as Horus. The true nature of the ruse was never quite clear, but Lucas had been aware of Zero's true identity for some time. Short months after, Horus was contacted by Brendon Ofdensen to take up permanent reigns as General Manager of NGIW. In January of 2013 Horus returned as General Manager of NGIW, replacing Markon Charles as a more neutral figure. However this neutrality did not last for long as his partner descended into his own darker, masked persona Astro Blue and began a dedicated relationship with the NGIW Championship. After defending his position for months, Horus finally came to understand that the Astro Blue persona was destructive for Lucas and pleaded with his lover to end it. Astro refused, and he and Horus were embroiled in a conflict to either put Astro Blue to rest for good, or bring back Zero Rush that finally saw Lucas and Horus uniting again in a happy ending. They were married in 2015. Personal Life and Trivia - Horus still owns his library in Stratford-On-Avon, though it is now run by a secondary staff.
