Ladies is one of the favorite stores of Eden noble woman. Its elegance, sophistication and especially its exclusiveness draw woman from all walks of life to it, put permit only a few of the very top to enter. its famous for it was the favorite store of the Empress of Meria. Although her position has been dropped a bit, she still maintains the position as the wealthiest person in the world. The Store is owned by the Hamiliton family, which also serves as the hereditary Governors of Virginia. The store revolves around a vaulted atrium, which has a large fountain and a little cafe. A tall statue that is vaguely humanoid reaches up to the dome which makes the atrium golden looking. The floors are marble, with tall marble pillars that frame each mezzanine. To restrict the poorer class from entering, each woman is escorted by a valet provided by the store. Usually the wealthier woman who shop frequently open accounts, and send maid servants to shop. The lesser wealthy only come for special occasions, for it is very expensive. There are six mezzanines, rising from the main floor. Each one looks out over the central atrium. Each mezzanine has its own particular genera. One floor might have evening gowns on it, while the other has formal wear, etc. A large elevator opposite the entrance rises to each level. The mezzanines are well lit, and both elegant and embracing. Throughout each mezzanine there are various chairs, couches, musical instruments with accompaniment, etc. Upon the furniture and playing or listening to the musicians are paid live models. The customer watches the scenes. The models talk in discreet voices, to make it seem realistic, like one has truly stepped into a soiree. If none of the dress options interest the customer, on the sixth Mezzanine, a tailor will create a gown on the instructions of the customer. Gown Styles Edo-Vulcan has a very defined set of clothing costumes, which will be described here. *Calling Gowns: Calling gowns are worn in the morning. They have tighter bodices, with lots of frills and decorations. Like most Eden dresses, the skirts are narrow, with only a slip-not a petticoat-underneath. The skirt is slightly longer in the back than the front. The sleeves are usually done in a pagoda inspired design, narrow, with overlapping fabric. However, these sleeves only go down to mid arm. Calling gowns are done in cool pastels, light pinks, and purples and blues. Examples: ![]() ![]() *Receiving Gowns: Receiving gowns are also worn in the morning. Though the dresses indicate when each should be worn (The Calling Gown worn when one is calling on another, and the Receiving Gowns worn when one is receiving), the two are virtually interchangeable. The Receiving gown differs only slightly in design from the calling gown. The Receiving gown has a rounder, looser bodice, with less decorations. Thus, though the waistline is around the natural waist, it appears higher. The skirts on receiving gowns are also narrower and tighter, and with fabric for the entire frock heavier than calling gowns. They are based solely on the creativity of the Lady who wears it. Typically though, they are of a heavier fabric than any other style of gown, and have higher necklines and longer sleeves. Examples: ![]() ![]() *Frocks: Frocks are worn by wealthier ladies as promenading outfits, or as the only clothing for poorer ladies. They are simple, one color, of varying fabric depending on who is wearing it. They have loose blouses, and long louse sleeves. The skirts usually have thin petticoats underneath, and the skirts only fall to the ankle. Examples: N/A *Evening Gowns: Evening gowns are worn at dinner parties, or evening parties (which differ from Balls, as will be described below). Evening gowns have high wastes, and are usually made from Silk or Satan. They are also beaded, with elaborate jewels and patterns of crystal. They have, like most other dresses, only light slips underneath. They also have trains, and slightly higher front hems. Examples: ![]() ![]() ![]() *Ball Gowns: Ball gowns are unique from all other style of dress. Balls take place in the afternoon, usually right after a day long barbecue. Ball gowns have hoop skirts, with petticoats. They also have tighter bodices, and lots and lots of frills. Ball gowns are a number of colors, but usually done in cotton or silk. Examples:

Men's Clothes Though Ladies does not sell Men's clothes, in the little scenes that are inacted by the models to show off the clothes, there are men, and thus, men's clothes are displayed. *Day Suits While woman usually have to change clothes three, sometimes four times a day, men usually only have to change clothes twice. The Day suit is worn by men during the entirety of the day, excluding balls and formal occasions. The Day suit is fairly simple in design, usually made of cotton or wool, with three parts and sometimes a tail. Hats and gloves, which are absolute MUSTS for woman, are not necessarily worn by men. Examples: ![]() *Formal Suit Formal suits are worn at Balls, and all other formal occasions (that is, if the man is not enlisted in the Military). They are a bit more fancy than the day suits, but do not compare with the complexity of the various woman's gowns. The suits are black and white, and usually of standard design. This tends to exaggerate the elegance of the ladies, during such formal occasions. Examples: ![]() *Military Uniforms Edo-Vulcan is a very militant society, thus Military uniforms are nearly always worn during formal occasions. The only exception is balls, in which formal suits must be worn by everyone. However, dinner parties, soiree’s, etc., are the place for military uniforms. The uniforms differ on rank, with the officers employing much more elaborate uniforms. Examples: ![]() ![]() |
