Okay, I think it's time to enforce some laws on this section. Comments are welcome, and staff are allowed to just delete this if they wish. 1. Do. Not. Flame. Just don't. If you think a site is bad to the extent where it should be stripped down by a virtual bulldozer, then don't say: "I fiNk DAT Is CrapZOR mE wANt BiTTY" blahblahblah. Tact is important. Put it nicely, for example: "I don't think the site is all that good, maybe you could..." and add a suggestion. And, if someone critiques your site, don't retaliate with: "R u kiDDing dis Site iS dA BOm mE wANt BiTTY" That's either retaliating a flame with a flame, (making flame wars) or just being a jerk. Retaliate with: "I like that! lol But yeah, I see your point." 2. Follow. The. Template. It makes sense. Not only does it save you verbal warnings or worse, it also gives info that may attract certain members. For instance, someone may want a site with lots of members, so it is guaranteed to be good, or someone may want to join a site with few members in hope of getting a staff position, which they can use to completely blow the site up. Either way, the template is there foe a reason. 3. Do. Not. Bump. Your. Own. Topic. Or. Anyone. Elses. The reason people won't reply to your topic is probably because it isn't appealing, or other sites look more interesting, and making yourself look like a n00b by double posting isn't going to make your site look any better. 4. Do. Not. Break. The. Preceeding. Rules. This will result in warns, verbally, and then ones added to your warn meter. Then, your topic will be locked, link destroyed, blahblahblah. We mods have the ability to do a multitude of nasty acts, and we only use them because morons anger us. Don't become a moron. Be safe. Be obedient. Be thankful. |
