movie name: king kong type of movie: action/suspense director: peter jackson*i think* this movie was one of the best ones to come out this year. while it was a remake of the king kong movie from about 30 years ago, it has stayed as true as it could be to the original. with jack black in the cast, there are bound to be alot of funny parts, yet most do not go to see it because jack black is a star in the movie. i had my doubts at first, thinking that if jack black was in it, then there may be too much comedy and not enough of everything else. i was sure that he would, in some way, make it into something horribly awful. i mean, the graphics on the trailer looked great, but they always do. but was i every wrong. the movie turned out to be one that i would like to see over and over again. it has plenty of comedy, action, suspense, and even adventure tied into the mix. jack black played one of the best roles, along with his fellow co-stars. their performance was enough to move me, well, ok, not me, but my girlfriend to tears. if you have never seen the original kong, then don't worry, this kong is true to it's roots in many ways. i would highly recommend seeing this movie, whether in theaters, or on vhs/dvd. any comments from those who have seen this version? |

I liked it. Jack Black's cool, though I think some of his other movies are a bit better. I was impressed with the detail they had on Kong and the whole story, though. |

"I like" and "I don't like" aren't critique, they're opinions. "The acting was fine, but the camera movements were sickening" would be a critique. Though I loved the whole dizzying effect from the fast-paced scenes. |
