You know, when a substance undergoes radioactive decay, it continues to halve it's own mass every X number of years. So eventually it gets to a point where it is literally gone... but since it keeps HALVING itself, it never becomes nothing.

That's where Pokemon is going.

As for Yugioh. It WILL eventually go down the same path.

But it WON'T do it now. I believe UDE did the right thing with the reprints and the ban lists to try and save this game. I know a lot of people who are getting back into the game because cards are a lot cheaper to get, and every deck isn't a CCC.

And of course, there are those, like the angry collector and the 'WTF, I lose my RAIGEKI?' n00b who will QUIT because of the new changes, but I believe the influx of new players will match the influx of quitting players.

For those who say the game will just be n00b infested... You know, some of those n00bs will become pro. I think Yugioh is currently at a high point that was attained at the end of last year, after the release of IoC. Don't know how long THAT will last.

I really like the radioactive decay analogy. But to be slightly off-topic: There comes a point where a substance half any more (as in, only has a proton left in its nucleus). What happens to that proton? It should stay in the nucleus, but hey, all those other protons (and naturally neutrons) left too. And where, for that matter, do those neutrons and protons go? A single neutron can't be an atom.

Getting back on topic.

1. I don't think "debation" is a word.
2. I moved this topic to General Discussion because this is not an article, this is a debate. If you posted findings say that YGO is dying and it fills the whole page, maybe it would stay. But it is not, because you have the misconjugated "debation" in the description line; therefore, it is not an article. I'm surprised a moderator hasn't seen that already...

Dont you ever say that again lol.

Cash prizes will reuslt in the game becoming much more serious and no where near as fun, people will become anry, desparate etc.

Cash is what Ruined VS. System. Its a very very bad idea

A 10k winner get's 2,500$, plus varied packs, promo cards, T-Shirts ,ect

SJC winners get a laptop, and a card.

Which would you rather have? I would rather it be slightly less fun, but have more of a reason to play.

Ok, well if money is to much..How about broken unrestricted promos that you can get for getting in the top 8. Like "Pot of Weed, Draw 4 cards " or something. That would also make it worth going to a shonen jump!

Not me. I'd rather for the fun. If you look at TCG like sports or athletics they're a lot alike. You usually begin soccer or karate because it's something you enjoy, and if you win stuff that's nice, but it could get to you and suck the all fun out of it. Competition fever is not something that I wish to contract.

Alas, regardless of their doom, the little victims play!
No sense have they of ills to come, nor care beyond to-day.

Same with Scotland, more and more players are beginning to emerge from the North.

Afraid not. Maybe I'm just generalising, but where I live, there aren't many players apart from the odd 6 year old who sprays saliva everywhere when shouting an attack. Oh well.
