Can Tyrant Dagon die by two Trap Holes?

When I was playing, and I summoned Tyrant Dragon but my opponent activates TWO! Trap Holes and he tries to destroy my monster. Here's the part of the effect of Tyrant Dragon,"negate the effect of a Trap Card that specifically designates this card as a target and destory it." But I think that when Tyrant Dragon is summoned to the field and my opponent activates one Trap Hole and Tyrant Dragon ability to negate a trap card that target him and destroy the trap card. But then he activates another Trap Hole to destroy it. Is it possible or not? tell me PLEASE!

He isn't even allowed to activate the second Trap Hole, as he'd be chaining it to the first Trap Hole, or to nothing.

Besides, Trap Hole targets, so even if it was legal to activate two at once, they both target and so they are both destroyed by Tyrant Dragon's effect. The only trap holes that can affect Tyrant Dragon is Bottomless Trap Hole and Adhesion Trap Hole because they don't target.

BTH and Adhesion both target...

As long as it says "Select a monster" it's a targetting effect.

Actually, they don't. They can't target because they work on Special Summons. Bottomless Trap Hole and Adhesion Trap Hole can affect monsters Special Summoned at the same time (e.g. when Cyber Jar is manually flipped or when Flute of Summoning brings two Dragons to the field), so they can't target or you would have to pick which monster to affect.

From Konami's website:
Quote:

ADHESION TRAP HOLE

"Adhesion Trap Hole" works against "a monster or monsters", so "Adhesion Trap Hole" does NOT target.

BOTTOMLESS TRAP HOLE

This card can remove from play multiple monsters at once, if they are Summoned simultaneously. Since this card can affect multiple monsters, it does not target.

If the opponent has "Lord of D." on the field and activates "The Flute of Summoning Dragon" to Special Summon 2 copies of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", you can activate this card and both will be removed from play. "Lord of D." does not protect the Dragons because "Bottomless Trap Hole" does not target. The same situation would occur if only 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" was Special Summoned, "Bottomless Trap Hole" still does not target.

I rest my case. ^_^

He can't do that. First of all Tyrant Dragon can negate a card which target's it and second of all, you can't activate TWO trap holes because Trap Hole can only be flipped when a monster with over 1000 attk points is summoned (exluding special summoun).

At least that's the way I see it. Correct me if I'm wrong folks...

You can't play 2 in the same turn unless they use Ultimate Offering. It's 1 TH per monster. You can't play 2 for 1 monster.

Yeah but that's a different scenario though.

And it would depend on what monsters you summouned. You could summon loads of 'ickle creatures with under 1000 attack points.

For the Botomless Trap Hole and Adhesion Trap hole ruling, Kyhoetae is right. I'm not sure about the adhesion, but bottomless does NOT target, you can read netrep rulings. If 2 monsters are simultaneously, both are destroy

ie: 2 vamps are special summoned, you use bottomless, both die

Yeah, it's one of the only ways that you can get rid of that pesky King Dragun without destroying him in battle. ;)
