Battle of the Minds, By: The Dark Master 3: Don't Ya Just Love Black Luster Soldier January 24, 2005 Last Weeks Puzzle Solution: *** Keep in mind on this puzzle that I did mention IF you did attack with Fusilier Dragon, that your opponent would activate Sakuretsu Armor. You are not going to attack with Fusiler Dragon. You will lead your opponent to think you are going to attack. I realize that if the opponent was smart, he would activate Sakuretsu Armor on the Fusion brought out by Magical Scientist. If I would of made this puzzle like that, it would of been really easy to solve. I had to put some zest into this to make you guys think! Without further ado, here is the solution: 01) In Main Phase 1, Normal Summon Fusilier Dragon (1400/1000) 02) Activate and equip Megamorph to Fusilier Dragon (5600/1000) 03) Activate Limiter Removal. Fuslier Dragon's stats are (11,200/1000) 04) Activate Mirage of Nightmare 05) Activate Emergency Provisions and send Megamorph and Mirage of Nightmare to the grave. Your LP's are at 2100 06) Pay 500 LP's for Ultimate Offering to Normal Summon Magical Scientist (Your LP's are now at 1600) 07) Pay 1000 LP's, per Scientist's effect, to Special Summon Dark Balter the Terrible in attack mode (Your LP's are at 600) 08) Pay 500 LP's for Ulitmate Offering to Tribute Summon Magical Scientist for Catapult Turtle into attack mode (Your LP's are at 100) 09) You enter Battle Phase 10) Attack Fiber Jar with Dark Balter (opponents LP's = 12,500) 11) Attack your opponents LP's directly with Catapult Turtle (opponents LP's = 11,500) 12) Attack your opponents LP's directly with Black Luster Soldier - Envoy (opponents LP's = 8500) 13) Enter Main Phase II 14) Use Catapult Turtle's effect on Dark Balter (opponents LP's = 7500) 15) Use Catapult Turtle's effect on Black Luster Soldier - Envoy (opponents LP's = 6000) 16) Use Catapult Turtle's effect on Fusilier Dragon (opponents LP's = 400) 17) Use Catapult Turtle's effect on itself (opponents LP's = 0) Final Result: Opponent = 0, You = 100 Problem: Once again, your opponent has more LP's than you do. On a good note though, you happen to have out Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning. You are in a delima here. You don't know weather to attack and take the chance on whatever is face-down in your opponents monster zone, or just wait it out. The second problem is if you wait it out, you will not win the duel this turn! It is up to you to see if you can pull it off! Good luck and hope this one is easier for you guys this week! I did not get as many though as the first time. If you do like these scenarios, please let people know your thoughts here in the thread. My solution will be in the next article, though it is not guaranteed to be the only solution. Also, down below, I have listed spoilers of the cards involved in this puzzle. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS WITH THE ANSWER AS IT WILL RUIN IT FOR EVERYONE THAT WANTS TO PLAY AND LEARN FROM THIS. If you feel you want to see if you are correct, please send answers to my email: a_colburn2000@hotmail.com. In the subject line of that email, put the name of the senario you are answering to (in this case it would be "Don't Ya Just Love Black Luster Soldier". Also, in the email, let me know your screen name here in the forum so I know who I am talking to. You guys should have an easier time answering this one than the last one, so lets get to it! ******************************************************************** Monsters D.D. My 2 Elemental Personalities Your a Fire Dragon! As far as dragons go, fire dragons are the most tempermental. But dont let that cool you off. Fire Dragons care about there looks and can bicker quite easily. But, Fire Dragons are also very strong, and make friends easily. You seem to be very popular and charm others. And your breath makes the best marshmellow toast ever! Yum! Your an ice dragon! Congrats! Out of all the dragons, you are most powerful but do not like to show it. A rare and special creture, you have artistic style and are great at expressing yourself. You think friends and Familly are the most important, and are a hopeless romantic. But of course, as ice goes, you can be a little cold or harsh at times. But not to worry, you always apoligize later! ![]() My Card Rating and Deck rating meanings 10- (starts drooling) wow awesome 9- Really Great just 1 or 2 improvements 8- Great Job keep doing wat u doing 7- Good, but can be better 6- I've seen better but you have a start 5- Its kinda broken 4- Pretty broken 3- Come on man it's broken 2- Broken to an extreme 1- (naps) boring broken and not creative YVD Record: W-107/L-45/D-0 Please Do Not PM me for Forums you want me to join!![/CODE] | |

Usually The Solution Hits Me When I See Cards That I'm Familar With..In This Case It Did..For Me This 1 Was Pretty Simple..I Do Like These Scenarios And Am Already For The Next 1..LoL. |
![]() Your element is Fire. People generally see you as extremely strong willed and know that once you have your mind set on something, there's virtually no stopping you. You can see hope where others see none and so you tend to be looked at as a leader. You hold morals and your loved ones above all else and would gladly give anything up to protect them. Yep, just solved it. Pretty cool. About the last one, I did mine different but it was in the same page. For example, I played Megamorph, Mirage, and then I played Limiter Removal and then chained with Emergency provisions to send Megamorph, Mirage, and Limiter to the graveyard to get 3000 LP. And then I did the same thing with not attacking with Fusilier. But that certainly took some thought. Can't wait for the next one. |

Tak, you are incorrect in your scenario. Based off of what you mentioned, when you activated EP, all the s/t cards you send to the grave are a cost of EP. Costs are paid for at activation. So, what I am saying is that when you send MoN, Megamorph, and Limiter Removal to the grave.... by the time you go to resolve Limiter Removal, it fizzles because it never was on the field when resolving because it is now in the grave as a result of EP. But, you will get the 1000 LP gain for Limiter Removal becuase it was on the field when EP was activated. I hope that makes sense. If you are confused on this, PM me and I will go into greater detail on this or you can PM me on AIM. My sn on there is: abcolburnt. Thanks for working on the puzzles! |

Hmmm, you may be right. I don't know, i see a lot of people chaining their EP with Waboku or maybe they finally changed the ruling, in which thanks for the update. |
