Heh im on my second round through FF1 (level 70) My first class configuration was: Warrior, Thief, Black Mage, White Mage. My second one is Warrior, Red Mage, Black Mage, White Mage. And my third will be in honor of 8-bit theatre and be Warrior, red Mage, Thief, and Black Mage |

Finally beat it and going to play it again with 2x Warrior, Theif, and White mage. It was pretty hard not having a good healing spell. But Megalixers saved my LP. Tip of the Day - Haste and Temper = your good friend. |

No black mage? thats going to be fairly hard. here's why I always have 2 characters that can cast black magic: its for my boss strategy. 1. Use the Giant's Gloves (which cast Saber) with your strongest character (usually knight). 2. Cast Haste on the Knight. 3. Have both mages (your black mage and a red mage/ninja) cast temper on it every turn. If your Knight has the Ragnarok (or Ultima Weapon, as I do), you can be hitting highly armored bosses for 2500-4500 damage 4. On the first turn, have your White Wizard cast Protera. For all other turns, have your White Wizard cast Healaga every turn in case you are fighting bosses like Shinryu (Lifespring Grotto; casts flare which deals 500+ damage). If a character dies, cast Full-life. Above all else, don't let your super-powered knight die. If it does, you loose every power bonus you gave it. So if your knight gets to 300 or lower HP, cast Curaga or Curaja on it with White Wizard, and cast the highest white magic spell that either your black mage or your last character (red/ninja) can use. If they don't have healing magic, give the Knight a Hi-Potion at the least. |

Yea, I haven't really bothered with Black Mage in any Final Fantasy for some reason. They're strong with their magic but I guess I just don't like them. I like using the warrior/knight with those haste spells and I figured that the White Mage will do that job of healing and etc... |
