I just went to a gaming store today and saw a DS and PSP on display, and, much to everyone's dismay I guess, they depress me. Both of them. I've already not into portables because of the still awful tech of LCD (but I was quite impressed by PSP's bright display, and there wasn't any game displayed in the DS but I may assume DS can do just as good), and when I saw DS, All I can say is WTF, tiny buttons, power button right on top of D-pad........... definitely not suited for my big and slippery hands....... PSP looks just like GBA albeit the display, and that means serious minus point...... But then again, maybe I may prefer PSP more physically, which is sad...........

I think the magic of Nintendo is the buttons! Though I have had problems with my Gamecube D-Pad lately, but that's easily fixable.

That's confusing, so your friend now has 2 DS',?

Or are you saying, you found a DS which was your friend's, and then he came over and took it and left thinking that you probably stole it or something like that?

Weird story either way though.

Ok let me get started.... <rant> Ok first of all, the system is the Nintendo DS. I saw its name on a picture of the box. I will buy a DS because I like Nintendo. The DS is only backward compatible with GBA games, not GB or GC (much to my dismay) The PSP is not pracital because have YOU SEEN THAT THING! you gotta wrap that in a sock to prevent scratches. However, the DS has its flip screen, so when its not in use it doesn't get scratched. And, new DS news, ds has stereo sound! a step forward in gb sound! and maybe, just maybe, it will be twice as loud as the GBA.

</rant>

I like ranting...

*clears throat*

[RANT]
Most 'experts' are biased towards PSP because Nintendo is seen as a 'kids company', due to the likes of Mario, Pokemon, etc. However, PSP is full of generally more 'adult' games, hence appealing to 'experts'. But, looking at PS2, it was, through experience, CRUD! I didn't like it at all. The games were....crud, the controls were...crud and at certain points, DREAMCAST GOT MORE ATTENTION THAN IT! (Yes people, its old.) Anyways, I don't see PSP as being too much better. Its looking to much of a handheld already. As Chaos said, you need a sock to prevent scratches. In fact, its so small, you only need half a sock! Too small! And so, in conclusion, Sony, the DVD players are starting to get dust. Stick what you're good at. Don't go into other business. eg: Hotpoint don't make video games and Nintendo don't make washing machines.
[/RANT]

Boy, that felt good!

The dual-mode screen wil allow for information to be stored at the bottom, while the top, where games are played, won't be overcrowded with loads of menus.

Ahhh I sold my DS for the PSP, DS is good and all but no good games are out for it besides like Super Mario DS. I got my PSP today ( I went to the beach so I didn't get it on the day it came out) It's actually awesome! You can download songs on the computer and send them to the psp and you can carry it around like an IPOD! And you can buy movies or download them and put them on the PSP and watch it anywhere! The games are cool too, good graphics just like the PS2. The screen is pretty big for a handheld too, it's like the size of the gamegear screen. IT's just....COOL.

Anyways, all handhelds are getting larger now. GBA was bigger than GBC, GBASP was gigger than GBA, and DS is bigger than GBASP! I guess people have different opinions, but if anybody says 'nintendo sux' or 'nintendo crp' or 'psp da best da udas suc *** in da hel111' I will get angryyyy... VERRRRY ANGRRRYYYY.....

I never said it sucked, i just think PSP is better because you can put music, videos and pictures on it and the screen is bigger. No good games are out for it until like june or september (heh YGO Nightmare in Troubldor or Animal Crossing). But the good thing about DS is that you can Pitco Chat unlike PSP.

Overall, for a fact and the truth, PSP is a bit better than DS becuase of it's features.
