The morning came as fast as the sickening pain that was of having a hangover. The rays of sun and sound of the running pirates here and there on top of the deck was finally beginning to wake up everybody.

The captain was smoking his pipe, outside the door of the Scientist and Demoness.

-------------------------

"Ok... We're really close..." Fenrik said as a huge tree could be seen from far away.... Like really far away. "That... is our first destination."

"Why is it our final destination...?", he said still a bit worried. What if that wolf was going to use the crystal on that tree? It was big and had life in it... The only reason he thought that we wasn't 'crystaled' was because he was too weak to get any life out of... He climbed onto the wolf's back, unsure what to do...

Pound pound pound.

The sound of running crewmen slowly roused Angena from her long slumber. Every single step they took above seemed to scream through her ears, smashing into her brain. Her head felt like someone had taken a hammer and gone to town on her skull, and her memories of the night before were cloudy, at best. She groaned loudly, rolling over onto her back. She felt dizzy, and she could've sworn she saw lights just from the pain of her hangover. Damn, she needed some frickin' coffee and a smoke... Still, even with the hangover, she loved drinking too much to give it up. It wasn't much of a deterrent, though it was very unpleasant to say the least.

"Will they cut out that damn racket!" she shouted, staring up at the ceiling. The sound of boots on the deck above was only increasing her headache. What had she done last night, anyways? It usually took her a few moments to remember what had exactly occurred. In any event, it would appear she had made it back to the ship. The angel-nerd was sleeping nearby. The pansy probably spent the whole night theorizing or screwing with scraps of metal or some shit.

Wait... scraps of metal...

She sat up, rubbing her head with one clawed hand. Had she...? Yes, she had gone scrap-metal-hunting with the scientist, and gotten wasted on the way... That was fine, but why did she feel like something was wrong...?

Then, memory of what she had admitted to Klien, what she had told him, rushed into her mind like a tidal wave. "Shit!" she shouted loudly into the air, smacking her hand against her forehead. This did not help her hangover at all. Had she really called that idiot angel cute? Bleh! She would rather die than sleep with that miserable nerd. What had compelled her to say such stupid things? "Now he's going to think I'm some frickin' soft bitch..." Angena growled under her breath, standing and stretching. "Damn it damn it damn it!" Her image of strength meant everything to her, to have such a big crack placed in it upset her to no end. That damn scientist had better keep his mouth shut about it, or he would regret it. Damn... who else knew? If the Captain found out, she would be totally frickin' screwed. Crap! She didn't mean any of what she had said, she was just intoxicated! People say weird shit they don't mean when drunk!

This... would take some damage control to fix. Maybe she should go beat the crap out of a random crewmate to prove her badassery...?

Klien had. . . 'improved' his laser pistol, and ED before going to bed, using up a lot of the electrical components that he had scavenged. It was somethin to do, and he was glad to do it, after all.

He awoke as soon as she shouted, then yawned quietly, not able to help but to listen as she talked.
Well. . . wasn't quite expecting that, but. . . ohwell. She hasn't blown up on me quite yet. Probably should defuse it. . .
"Mmmmph, morning Angena. Your talking woke me up." he mumbled, yawning as he sat up in the bed.
"You were only around me when drunk. Nobody else really saw you like that. Or, anything that couldn't easily be explained as 'sloshed' even with jumping to conclusions. Your image is. . . fine. At least to everyone but me. And I won't tell if you won't." He said this firmly, as he stood up, stretching, his back popping.
That should go a long way towards her making trouble- don't need to try and save your image if it isn't dented. Though. . . I'm not sure what she'll do to me. I'll have to watch out. Dangit. Well, here comes the risk, and I welcome it.
"So, don't worry so much Angena. Just. . . think about what was said when drunk. Whether you'd want that. I never cared about image, myself. Unless I want to confuse someone." He couldn't help but give a small chuckle at that. "I mean, this world is less hostile, mean, than your old world. Might do you good." Wait, he was talking quietly this whole time? She could hear him perfectly well, but it didn't really make her head hurt any more. Apparently he did think before he spoke after all, remembering her hangover. Or, just being reminded of it by her shouting when he woke up. Ah well, didn't make much difference either way.
And now, we will see what happens. No risk, no reward.
Before she could speak, he straightened his clothes- she could easily see the square shape that was the laser pistol- and opened the door.
"Ah, hello captain. What is it now?" he asked, in a friendly tone.
Better to not give her the chance to respond, for now.

"Well, dear Doctor, we're making the final preparations to go." He said as he smiled and began nudging. "I see that the lady is finally warming up?" He said as he chuckled to Klien.

Now that the wolf looked at the lizard, he was hiding in a tree nearby. All he simply said was, "I can't let you crystal that tree if you are...", he said sheepishly, "And I don't have a name as far as I know...", it was clear due to his emotions and whatnot he didn't really trust the wolf for the current time being...

The wolf sighed as he then replied. "As much as I want, I can't "crystal" any plant or mineral. It has be something with a heart, muscle and above all, rare. I can hunt a mouse, but that would only get me about 5 minutes of life." He said as if he was already tired of the topic.

The lizard softly stared and said, "...What for...?", he said as he looked at the wolf... Then he remembered something. This was the location where his 'Lizard Bee' Group was heading to... They were looking for some kind of 'Queen'... And what better place then the Tree Of Life? The lizard whined a little more, maybe the wolf was going there to kill the other lizards...

"We're going because it is the entrance to access one of the God's Tools... The Scale of Nature. Which, be it by luck or destiny, it's your tool." He said as he looked at the tree... getting bigger and bigger.

"And by no means it's easier to get. "The Gods hid their tools within their own creations". We discovered this tool the first time with the wrong Searchers. They were scorched. And then we brought the right Searcher... and got scorched nevertheless. We figured that we needed to complete something before getting it."

"Although... we never really knew what."

"O...okay...?", The lizard said as he got down... Unsure what to exactly do. After a little thought he decided to get on the wolf's back, maybe this scale thing could help them both... And now that he thought of it, who was that guy he saw when he and the wolf were fighting? He almost forgot about it by now...

The fire demoness froze in pace, turning to look at Klien slowly. She had apparently woken up the angel with her shouting... He didn't seem angry, however. He... knew everything. He saw everything. He assured her that he was the only one who she had been around... Should she trust him? She supposed she didn't have a choice. If what he said was true, then this was a more manageable problem than she had thought... She just had to deal with Klien, not everybody on the damn ship. If he said a word about the night before, though... she would remove his mouth from his body.

"I... Wel-" Angena began, but was interrupted by the scientist opening the door, greeting that hateful captain with a smile. She quieted, taking a deep breath. If the captain found out about what she had said, it was over. She'd have to kill him. He was already annoying the frickin' hell out of her. And what did that idiot scientist mean? Why would she want to think about the crap that had come out of her stupid mouth while she was wasted? She certainly didn't mean any of it... did she? Why would she want a family? Her own parents were her least favorite people in existence... And they seemed to hate each other, too... This world was different, weaker, but that didn't mean she had to be too. Gah, thinking about it made her feel sick, and her head throb. At least the scientist had kept his voice down.

...Maybe he would just forget about it. Hopefully. Then again, part of her wasn't sure she could either...

The captain just smiled as she looked at Angena and said "You should probably will need to take a bath before we sail off, don't you think? The smells reek too much for you to be as beautiful as the blackest of Ravens." He said with a smile on his face.

(...)

The boat had already taken of the port couples of hours ago. Angena was freshed up and ... regretting both the fact that the scientist saw her in such a state and that her body was not exactly agreeing with her right now. The scientist looked at his Laser Pistol. The enhancement he had done were power and ammo usage/capacity. The trip had been worth.

--------------------------

(Both group post)

The days passed as both parties were traveling. Both of the pairs shared a link, but it was either a dark secret... or a sense of fear. None of the travellers felt connected with other one and why should they? They were merely hired to do job that now seemed to be far useless. Why and where the constants questions that popped in the head of the 3 Encarnations... While Fenrik just looked at the sky...

"It should be around now..." He said as he felt the ground tremble. The sea too began to agitate. The wind agitated and then a might voice came into the 4 minds, a voice unlike any that they had heard. It was loud, powerful but above all... Ancient!

"THEE WHO DARE TRESPASS AND INTEND TO BECOME GODS SHALL BE PUNISHED BY THE GODS THEMSELVES! WE WILL NOT LET YOU LEAVE NOT LET YOU LIVE FOR WE ARE THE GUARDIANS THAT HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED BY THE HOLINESS!"

The water stirred and created a water tornado that quickly dissipated.... 2 people were standing there. One of the was a man with what seemed to be a mechanic arm. Literally. The other companion was a woman that was wearing a black robe and riding a broom and had black eyes, complete black eyes.

In the forest, a completely different entity appeared in front of them... A creature of legends! A kitsune, a creature from the far east. Half fox, half human, able to use natures power like their own.

"We will shall not let you go any further" The 3 of the said at the same time.

Ack. I knew this wouldn't be easy.. . time for a field test.
"ED, combat mode." Klien said firmly, as he drew his laser pistol- flicking a couple switches on the side. It seemed to hum, letting out a little laser- not enough to harm, but enough to let people know that it was on- and served as a good aimpoint, too. He aimed it squarely at the mechanic-man's left eye, before firing. ED, the robot, started to fire a much smaller laser at the mechanic-man as well.
Best to get in the first move. It is then that fights are won and lost. . . Now, lets see if it worked.

The lizard quickly started to panic, and hid behind the wolf, it had no idea what it was talking about!... Maybe the wolf was trying to become a god? "W-w-w-why...?" the lizard said a bit startled.

The tornado of water surprised Angena, who muttered "...the frickin' Hell...?" She peered up at the great beast of water, out of which appeared two... freaks. Seriously, what the hell was with these weird assholes? One of them looked like he had some kind of machine for an arm, or something, while the other was wearing black, with wasn't baad in and of itself, but she was... riding a broom. What the hell was wrong with these idiots? Riding a frickin' broom, of all things? That was just plain stupid. They also shouted some random shit about some gods or something filled with holes or something. From what she could tell, they were threatening her.

Angena did not like threats. People who threatened her usually ended up dead.

She growled, eyes narrowing to slits as she stared at the two aggressors. She didn't know what the hell was the deal with these two freaks, and honestly, she didn't really give a damn. If they wanted a fight, she'd kick both of their asses. Of course, she would have to do most of the work herself. I mean, she couldn't count on that pansy-nerd-scientist to back her up. That pasty-dork was probably just going to cower somewhere while she... -

Wait, what was he doing? What was that in his hands? Was that... a gun? She had seen that box-thing on him before, and he was tinkering with it a few days ago...

Lasers shot out of the weapon, heading for the attackers. "I'll be damned... You're actually packing heat," Angena said, her eyebrows raising in surprise as she turned her attention to the scientist. She hadn't expected Klien to be using a weapon... He didn't seem like a very dangerous or violent kind of guy. Her face showed her shock, but also... a bit of new-found respect. It wasn't as badass as beating someone down with your fists, but eh, it was better than him being an unarmed coward.

Angena cracked the knuckles of her left hand, readying her power fist, which whirred with magical energies. Blue sparks ran across the edges of the weapon, flickering in the light reflected by the sea. A fire burned within her eyes as she gazed upon the two who dared to shout in her face and threaten her. She hadn't had a good fight in -days-. She was itching and ready to kill something, and these two idiots had just won her violent attention. "Come at me you assholes!" She shouted, her left hand raised in front of her and closed in a fist. Fire burned around it, giving off an intense heat. With a hurl of her arm, she sent a searing ball of fire towards the idiot who was riding a broom. Frickin' bitch would regret threatening a fire demon!

"I'll rip out your intestines, choke you with 'em, then throw you into the ocean, to sink to the bottom!" She shouted with obvious bloodlust.

The man with the mechanical arm looked at the gun and merely said as a WHIIIIRRRR sound began to be heard on his hand. "Oh dear me, you have Lazor Pistol, heavily modified and an ED, too? Oh goody! I'm really liking this new fella!" He said as then saw Klien aim the gun and pull the trigger. The armed fella didn't move a muscle... but the Lazor round bounced off like if were mere waterballon that didn't pop after hitting the target. The bastard had a barrier

"Electric. I like ..." He said the arm was put back together. "So convinient this mana crystals... don't you think? You can make something as little... as this."

The gal in the broom just looked at the fireball... and yawned. With ease, she dropped of her broom and landed on the deck of the ship with elegance. "So much raw power put into such an idiotic mind. I can't believe you even learned the delicate art of Magic with those motions." She said as she caught the broom with her hand and she swung it. Immediately, a gale of wind forced all the crew members and others too to fly back and clash against cabinets, stair or whatever they had luck finding it.

"This is the best the world had to offer? This weak looking, poorly adapted, really wimpy little girl?" She said with extra emphasize as she yawned and readied the broom as a lance. The man of the arm landed on the deck too and took out what appeared to be a wrench. He took a silly fighting pose and said "I do mind that I want the ED whole."

"I don't promise anything"

--------------------------

"I see that you are here once again Fenrik!" The fox looked at the wolf. He stared at the bee and said "What is the problem of that guy?"

Fenrik just walked to the side and said "He's not used to fighting... So I guess this is game over?"

The kitsune laughed as he said "That would be too boring... You creature... How much do you like games?"

"Games? This... what is he planning?" Fenrik said as he looked at the Fox. They were cunning and above all cheaters..

"...What kind of game...?", The lizard said, still on the back of the wolf. For some odd reason he liked the look of the kitsune. It reminded him of a tale about a few lizard bees and kitsunes... As he started to remember it made him blush heavily as he started to purr a little.

He watched the laser bounce off, with no effect at all. Fuck. Better than I thought. . . fuck. Well, when you have watermelons, sometimes you have to break them. Whatever.
Without warning, he shot at the witch next, the little robot ED flying down below, beeping in a frightened manner.
"Angena, go for the mechanic-man! My laser won't do anything to him!" he cried out. "You can beat up the witch after you beat up the man with the mechanical arm!" His words rang forcefully, with a commanding air, and he did promise that she'd get to beat up the witch as much as she liked after the mechanic-man was defeated. . . so it wasn't all bad.

The rage inside Angena burned with an even greater intensity as this weak, frail woman - this, this chatty bitch - dared to insult her. She had the damn gall to call her idiotic, weak, and wimpy!? A little girl!? No one - NO ONE - talked to Angena that way and went home alive. Angena breathed out, and found a small stream of flame had already exited her mouth naturally, a testament to the furnace growing inside her. She hadn't been called weak since she had last seen her frickin' parents... Oh, this woman would pay. Angena would rip every limb off of her body, gut her while she was still conscious, and then burn the ashes before scattering them on the winds of the ocean. She would feel pain, greater than any she had ever experienced before. And she would know Angena was the cause.

"You chatty little frickin' bitch!" She screamed. "I'll rip your damn guts out! You think I'm weak? You sniveling bastards!?" She prepared to attack, but then Klien began to speak. He spoke with an authoritative air, which gave her pause. She had never heard him be so... forceful. The gears in his head seemed to be turning... He wanted her to attack the mechanical-man, since Klien's laser was being ineffective. If Angena just focused on the witch, she guessed she'd be dealing with both enemies at once, and Klien wouldn't really be able to help her. "Damn it... Fine. But leave her alive," Angena replied, looking at Klien with a murderous glare. "I'm going to rip her frickin' tongue out. She'll regret the day her father first looked at her mother." She turned her gaze, filled with fury, at the mechanical-arm-guy. He had... a wrench? What kinda shit was he playing at? His fighting pose looked ridiculous too.

Angena growled, before rushing the man, her Power Fist at the ready. She breathed deeply, and unleashed a great torrent of flame from her mouth... She then prepared herself to lunge. If the man attempted to dodge, he'd be off guard for just a moment... and she could get an attack in without worrying about a counter-attack.

The witch just poofed into the air as little time reaction let her to actually force to reveal one of her powers. But, the laser hit her never the less. The bird fell down, but got up fast enough. She transformed herself back to human as she then said "We'll show why trying to copy Gods are a bad idea" She said. The shot had reached her arm but she still had another one.

The witch rose up as water rose too. "WATER BULLETS!" She said as the drops of waters began to rain down like metal balls to them. Small but effective against them

The scientist in the other hand looked at the Incoming wrath that was coming... and activated his arm. The Barrier was designed to be deflect incoming proyectiles of magic proportions, so the fire was not a worry...

The worry was that she was going to kick his ass. The Arm glowed as he set it off to "Gas"

The fire breath came... and as expected the woman leapt after the fire. The scientist aimed the hand to the nomads face and with a click, a purple sphere was launched.

BOOM!

A paralyzing poison appeared in the middle of the battlefield, and Angena was inside of it. She inhaled great part of the poison... but managed to connect the punch anyways, which sent the Scientist packing.

The witch looked at that and merely sighed. "That is what you get when you hire a scientist... Science is so overrated -.-"
-------------------------------------

The Kitsune took a Scale and said "We'll play a recolecting game..." He said as let the scale on the floor. The Scale grew to HUGE size... 50 meters wide plates and 100 meters tall. "We'll have a competition on who makes the other plate fall down first. Don't you think it's fun?"

The lizard got on one scale to see what it was like. It was BIG... But how was he going to drop it? He then did a little brainstorming, and looked at the chains holding the plate. He then hoped down and said, "I guess ill try.", he said to the kitsune. He blushed a little as he looked at him, even though he was a male... He looked very much like the female in the tale he heard.

One down, one to go. . . Angena will need medicine in a minute. No better time to end it but now!
He seemed eerily quiet, as he aimed the laser pistol. He fired once again, at the witch- at her chest. He wanted to burn her lungs, fry her heart, kill her dead. After all, the pistol didn't have a stun setting, and the faster it was done, the quicker he could help her with the gas, and whatever the hell it did. Once again, the laser didn't really give the witch any time at all to react, the click coming almost after the laser beam hit it's target. Only after the shot did he let his legs collapse, to let him tumble onto the hard deck- just below the incoming water ball-things.
It didn't take long for him to aim at her again, firing again.

"Ha! Suck you bast-ack!" Angena's punch connected solidly, the power in her weapon crackling as the mechanical-arm-guy was sent flying, certainly out for the rest of the fight. Angena's gloating was interrupted, however, as a strange gas creeped into her lungs. She coughed, her left hand instinctively reaching up to her throat... It felt like she couldn't breathe. The word started to spin around her, and she felt like she was dreaming... A creeping numbness crept over her body. She took a step towards the witch, shakily, then tried another... but the second step was too much, for her body no longer responded to her commands correctly. She fell to the floor, where she struggled to right herself again.

The witch just laughed as ... The shots passed... through?.

"You have done well to actually best our copies..." The witch said as she looked at Klien. The KOed scientist vanished in the air with a purple haze as she then merely chuckled. "Although we did have to limit our powers. We couldn't do this at full strength... could we?"

The crew members finally got the guts to actually step in and protect the 2 saviors. "Anyways... You'll need the time to rest. Once you reach Spain, things will only get more difficult from there..."

She vanished in a puff of smoke. The damage on the boat was not great... but it had been staggering.

Well. . . that answers that. . .
He got up, a little slower now, before reloading the pistol- just in case, but walking towards Angena. The little robot flew to his side, and he seemed to root around in it's small storage compartment for a few seconds, pulling out a syringe. He filled it with a blue-colored liquid, before injecting it into her shoulder- right through her clothes. It stung, but she could feel her limbs again, her vision slowly returning to normal. He helped her up to her feet.
"Well. . . we aren't dead. Thats the good news. The bad news is, is that they were never really here, and the ship is well. . . damaged." He gives a sigh and a shrug. He put away the laser pistol again, it's low hum fading away.
I've got too much repair work to do. . . well. . . I won't be bored. And the'll be back. Means I have to upgrade the pistol again. Lessee. . . more capacitors would work.

"Nnnnrgh..." Angena murmured as she felt, faintly, something being injected into her shoulder. Her limbs were so numb, however, that she barely noticed it much at all... But then, miraculously, the feeling started to return to her limbs. They stung, as if waking up from a long sleep, before she found she could move them again. The muscles wavered and trembled, but they were at least in functioning condition again. Her mind started to clear as well...

Klien helped her to her feet. She wavered for a moment, her body trembling, before slowly steadying through her own will. "Damn, that was..." She had seen the copies of their foes vanish, but just now was her mind clear enough for it to click. "...All a trick. Just some copies. And I let them beat me... Crap..." She sighed. She looked over at the scientist beside her. She had always had him pegged as a pansy coward, like most scientists were. A nerd, plain and simple. As much as she hated to adjust her views of people... he had proved her wrong. He had fired that laser pistol like a boss, and even given her medicine to detoxify her body. She would've liked to be the one to beat the witch girl to death, but it would appear she was never even really here, so it didn't matter too much...

"...Thanks, Klien," she said. This was the first time she had used his name - instead of 'nerd,' 'scientist,' or 'dork.' "...Yer a pretty good shot, for a scientist. Well, for anyone I guess, really... Sure beat the hell out of my old man with his gun, anyways." She mused, looking him up and down thoughtfully. Did she just... pay him a compliment? And it didn't even seem to have a biting, sarcastic side.

"Thanks." Klien said, rather surprised at her compliment- and her using his name. "You did knock him out with one punch, though. That isn't somethin you normally see." He seemed to be trying to pay a compliment to her, in return, it seemed, but he was sincere. Ack, copies. More magic things that stretch my understanding. Now, if I can make something to dispell those copies, make them be out of synch. . . I don't even know where to begin, though. Dammit. I do seem to have Angena's respect, though, on the bright side. I don't really have to worry as much about getting punched, which is always good.
"I guess its time to just fix the ship, and prepare for when those two come again." He gave a small sigh. "Ohwell. When life gives you lemons, kill the lemon farmer."

"Heh, I like that idea," Angena said, smirking. "We'll run into those two again, and next time, they won't be able to hide behind any fancy fakes. And I'll be ready for that gas-stuff the guy used. At least he takes a punch about as well as a stick of butter." She chuckled. "Well... Good luck with the ship, then..." she said. "Um... I guess if you need someone to lift shit or something... I could help you out. Though I'm not good with all that techy crud myself..."

"I'll get on it, then. And it'll take quite a bit of heavy lifting, I think. Hmmm, I'll use it as an opportunity to help you learn what is useful scrap, and what isn't, I think." He nodded to himself, a grin on his face- occupy her mind and work on the ship at the same time. A win-win any way you sliced it.

The captain walked to Klien and said "Who the hell were them and what business did they have with you?! My ship is almost wrecked and the crew is all bruised!" The captain said as he watched Klien.

"Ok then!" the Kitsune said as he began to levitate a little, with the help of some wind. "First, you can only use elements of nature to put on your plate. The wolf is not allowed to participate. And lastly we can't attack each other."

"Do you understand?"
