"Good point." Wish acknowledged Allen's wisdom. "I hope the two of us can clean up this mess." A sliver of hope drifted in her heart, but all the unfortunate news and horrible sights have worn her down. At a second's notice, she could implode into anger or tears... or both. Striding into the main hall, the two heard a loud clapping noise. At the top of the main staircase, a man stood.

"You came!" This guy continued to clap. By simple appearance and demeanor, this was clearly Aronai Devolver. "I did wonder what a flying train wanted with my city." Of other notes... they saw a large hole in the middle of the floor. The size was small enough to walk around, however.

Allen couldn't help but to wonder what was in the hole. . . but he didn't look into it, just waiting for Devolver to come to him. After all, with Devolver closer, he would be closer to the train. . . and more within Allen's power.
"Just as I thought. The rat won't come from his hole." he says, clearly meaning it as an insult.

Aronai ignored Allen's statement and eyed Wish specifically. "You didn't bring your little toy? Now, I'm disappointed."

"Toy?" Wish shrugged in confusion. You know... I forgot the staff in the train. Maybe that was a good thing. The lady removed her hand from Allen's and built a flame in her hand. "I want some answers from you. What happened to Hadred? Where did the people go!?"

The human rolled his eyes. "Aren't we demanding? Although... I will answer, if you promise to tell me where you got the staff and who gave it to you." Mr. Devolver spoke rather earnestly, but he could speak lies. "In fact, if you agree, I will give answer your questions first. But, you must answer mine."

Answer if you want. . . but be cautious.
Allen just looked up at Devolver, not going any closer, but not giving any answers either.

He seems desperate to get the information... Wish placed focus on Aronai's change of tone. I want the truth, but we know that he started all this destruction. Despair latched on. He might get an advantage from new knowledge... I only want him to burn. Those last words shrouded themselves with deep anger. Do you still think we should agree to answer questions?

Lets not. Lets just destroy him utterly. Allen thought, just giving Devolver a rather complacant, if unreadable look- but he could hear the train moving just a little, to bring the gun in line with the door. . .

Wish stared at Aronai blankly, as if considering the offer still. Nonetheless, the attempts to keep Aronai guessing failed. "I have ears, you know." The man refereed to the train moving. "I guess your answer is no. Then I can resume killing you." Despite the cocky words, disappointment struck his attitude--boredom, perhaps. "Kill them. I have other business to attend to." Further annoyance marked him, despite walking off.

"Wait!" Wish inched forward, but a massive beast jumped out from the hole and stopped Wish's tracks. "W-wh-whoa!" Before either could identify the opponent, a huge burst of flame jumped out towards them. Wish rolled out of the way, barely saving herself from the attack.

Allen had barely enough time to see the flame coming towards him before he was seemingly thrown to the side with some unseen force- actually, he had thrown himself with the telekinisis from the train, getting him out of the way relativley easily enough. The cannon barked, the shell shooting straight for the monster, friday having gotten the message of 'its trying to kill your kids, kill it first'

Allen rolled upright, the rifle in his hands as he looked at the monster.

The cannon round propelled forward. Though... the flame strike flew straight into the shot, for neither Allen nor Wish stopped the attack. The two attacks collided producing an exaggerated explosion. Several chunks of the ceiling dropped and a crater formed in the floor.

A quick glance at the opponent answered any doubts. Their enemy was Ureshai. "Huh?" Wish stepped back in surprise. "Ureshai, what are--" A simple observation killed her sentence. A large metal "plate" covered the top-hall of his head. Wires proceeded from the sides and connected directly into his skull. "Stop! We a-" This time Ureshai interrupted himself using another blast of flames. This one sprawled out towards both Allen, Wish and the locomotive. As a desperate defense, Wish picked up a couple stone brick that feel from the ceiling. The telekinesis brought them to her front and deflected the fire. Of course, those magitech shields helped immensely.

Crap. . . hes being controlled!
Allen saw the wires, and the metal plate, and decided to try and do something about it. . . namely, using his telekinisis to try and rip out at least the wires, if not the plate itself, with as much force as he could gather. Well, as much force as he could spare, for he had a telekinitic barrier- meant to cut the fire and make it go around him, and the train had the same sort of barrier- to direct the fire upwards.

Between the block barriers and Allen's mental persuasion, the flames neither harmed nor touch Wish, Allen, and their locomotive. As the train unleashed its power, Ureshai felt the pressure on his head. In response, the gigantic Drago-Ashrin lashed out. A wide range of telekinetic force threw Wish and Allen off their feet; thereafter, the attack smashed into the train pushing it back several feet. In fact, the impact nearly tilted the entire vehicle on its side.

Wish crashed into the nearest wall. The shields soften the landing, so little harm came to her. After removing herself from the wall, she smacked the floor with her hand. Instantly, flames sprung out across the ground, leaping out towards Ureshai. By all intents, she wished to imprison the opponent, so Allen could rip off the control device. "Yank it off!" She didn't have time to consider what might happen to Ureshai... because they could be dead in a few seconds of inaction. The flames jumped out over Ureshai and instantly tied him to the ground. Unfortunately, Wish's pathetic strength did not even force Ureshai to the ground. Though, the prison seemed to hold the large creature in place for a few seconds.

Allen didn't even have time to think, as the train steamed away a bit. . . while trying to rip the control device off of Ureshai's head with all the force it could muster.

The prison lasted those few seconds; unfortunately, that amount of time prevented much progress on Allen's end. Ureshai ripped out of the flames and then stomped the ground. A nasty shock wave ripped through the floor, causing a wide line of floor bricks to collapse towards lower floor. Apparently, the castle owned a basement, thus explaining where Ureshai jumped out off. Nevertheless, thoughts had to be focused, for that shock wave dashed towards Wish and Allen. "I need to get my staff. I can't fight him like this!" Wish retreated to the locomotive.

Obviously, Ureshai had ears as well, and overheard. To prevent Wish from escaping, he spurt out a torrent foxfire towards her; however, a spinning object zoomed in and deflected the attack in a circle of directions. As the onslaught ended, the item's identity was revealed. Elm? Her mouth held onto Wish's staff. Spitting the weapon to the unbroken ground, she said, "Thought you might need it."

Allen barely kept his feet on the ground- he had to use a little bit of telekinisis to keep from falling through the floor, before shifting to more solid ground. That was when Elm made an appearance.

Allen nodded, trying to wrench the device off of Ureshai again- using some of the force to protect himself and the others, though.

"I'll keep him busy!" Elm yelled loudly. "Get rid of the device!" She soared directly towards the large one. Ureshai breathed more flames, this directed at Elm; however, the young Dragon increased her altitude sharply, thereby dodging the entire strike all-together. In the meantime, Wish picked up her staff and, using the special stick, aided Allen in removing the face plate. Their combined telekinesis tugged fully on the object. They ripped one wire out quickly and loosened the others quite severely. Elm landed on the giant beast's back, and, soon enough, her claws dug into Ureshai's flesh. The combined attacks worked well; in fact, Ureshai groaned in pain and did not counterattack.

"Finally." That annoying man! Suddenly, Wish lost her staff.

The lady Ashrin panicked and tried to grab onto the staff with her telekinesis. Nothing. "What?" Within moments, the item landed across the rooms at the main staircase. Aronai stepped out and picked up the staff. Continually, Wish attempted to bring the weapon back... but she grasped air!

"Tudulu!" With that, Aronai vanished. The loss of attack power allowed Ureshai to react again. To rid of the rider, he sent a tower of fire upward. Elm instantly slammed into the ceiling. Looking upward, he blasted yet another torrent of fire. From the sudden burns and crash, Elm was too stunned to dodge.

He saw Wish's staff get stolen, and cursed under his breath, shooting off a round at this newcomer, one that was a bit too fast to dodge. . . before Ureshai attacked.

Allen saw Elm get pounded in the ceiling, and tried to use telekinisis to sheild her- and keep her up there, till she got her bearings again, ready to try and rip out the device still.

Dodge or not, the rifle shot struck air alone and went through. The bullet impaled the wall behind where Aronai was. In other words, Allen missed because Devolver disappeared instantly. Wish stared blankly at the scene; however, the battering of Elm snapped the Ashrin out of her dream. What the heck! Annoyance filled her words and expression. Helping her spouse, she pushed the flame assault away. In the end, she only tilted the attack slightly; nonetheless, the angle lessened the stress placed upon Allen. This allowed him to protect Elm completely.

A few seconds flew by, before Elm snapped back into action. If not for her durable scales, she would have been on the crispy side; however, holes sprinkled her wings and her scales had started to melt. Despite the injuries, she flew down beside Wish. Pain showed through her face, but she persisted. "We can't stop..." The groan proceeded from her mouth.

Then suddenly, a white blur darted passed the three heading towards Ureshai. Stop my dad. I'll get the staff back! This Ashrin--obviously Carol--leaped across the large cap. Upon landing, he pushed on. Interestingly, Ureshai ignored his son, but maybe Carol could retrieve the staff.

"You heard him!" Elm pushed on and lifted up into the air once more.

Allen tried to put up a sheild between them and Ureshai, before waiting for Ureshai to make a move- he didn't want to make him angrier when Carol was right next to him, after all.

As Allen had planned, Carol got through easily; Ureshai paid no attention the young fellow. Though, the giant beast charged an attack in his maw in the meantime. Opening his jaws, a large beam dashed towards the three; however, the strike zoomed well over their heads. Before Allen could properly react, the almost-laser struck his locomotive. Fortunately, the cab and the coach were unharmed; nonetheless, the fuel-carrying car had been hit. The great amount of fuel instantly set ablaze, and half of it turned to ash instantly. Even the metal carriage began to melt.

On the flip side, spitting such a high-velocity attack tired Ureshai. Taking advantage of the moment, Elm flew over to the opponent and landed upon his head--half the size of Elm's entire body. While the big guy tried to shake his daze, Elm dug her claws in between Ureshai's face and the plate. With all her might, she lifted upward. Wish, having no other choice, aided the process with her wimpy telekinesis.

Gotta shut down the loco soon. . . but before then. . .
He added all of his might to wrench the plate off of Ureshai's head, to try and get him out of the fight at least, so Allen might have time to recover.

Between the three assailants, progress was made. The rest of the wiring came off finally and the plate loosened; however, Ureshai continued attacking. He easily shook off Elm, sending the little one into a wall. Daze. The train lost the supply finally, so now Allen's ripping force faded away. Wish tried with all her might to continue the pressure. Failure.

The monstrous opponent suddenly jumped across the gap-ridden floor. His feet shook the ground strongly. Unfortunately neither Allen, nor Wish could remain standing. Ureshai may have spent much of his magical strength, for he assaulted physically. Before Allen could move, the giant's foot swiped the Leison through the castle entrance into his engine. The impact sprayed stars in Allen's vision. While far from deadly, the hit destroyed visual focus and disabled physical coordination. He couldn't balance.

"Allen!" Wish yelled. No, no! Ureshai twisted to her direction. She sent forth a flurry of flames, but all the attacks bounced off harmlessly. Come on! The massive creature stepped towards Wish, striding with a goal to kill. After everything we went through... for what!? Desperation flowed out of her mind. This can't be the end. I won't let it. "We will win!"

Ureshai's foot raised above Wish and prepared to smash her; nevertheless, a distraction showed. A powerful white light burst from the throne room--passed those stairs. The large opponent turned away; although, Wish acted strangely. Her body tensed, and anger littered her mind. "No. More. Death!" Allen started to return from his daze; however, when he laid eyes upon his wife, he saw utter fury.

Reflecting back, Allen recalled a similar occasion. Shortly before they arrived at the harbor village for the first time, a Dragon from Shadow attacked Allen, Wish, and the many refugees. Wish obliterated that enemy. The anger then was the same as the present.

Despite the rage, Wish acted out with intent. Her fists tightened in the air, and, as a result, the metal plate crumpled. With a roar, the woman ripped the entire device off Ureshai. The locomotive telekinesis could not perform so powerfully, yet Wish did. The removal threw Ureshai to the ground completely unconscious. A measure of blood exited his skull, but the forceful attack harmed him little. Maybe some mental damage existed, but they could not tell. Wish then collapsed. Unlike the previous time, Allen needed not stop her, and, about that time, he recovered from Ureshai's attack.

As a side note, the light had ceased and disappeared.

Upon reaching his wife, Allen noticed a rising/lowering chest and open eyes. "Ow," Wish squinted at her significant other. Exhaustion marked the fibers of her body. "I don't know what happened... but I think it worked out well. I can't get up." And, looking around, Allen noticed an unconscious Elm. "You'll have to go yourself. Please... kill Aronai. Get rid of that, monster." An easy path gave access to the throne room. Instead of walking directly, Allen could walk around the hole and still reach the staircase.

Arriving in the other room, Allen found an interesting scene. Aronai sat on a throne chair. A dissatisfied expression marked his face, the staff relaxed on the floor, and Carol lay elsewhere unconscious. Devolver turned to Allen. "You actually defeated Ureshai? That would figure." He stood up. "What did you do to the staff?" The man revealed his palm--charred. "Now, I can't even pick it up."

"What?" Aronai growled. "I'm in no mood for word tricks." The frustrated man whipped out a hand-fitting device. A button rested on the top, where the thumb was placed. "So, I think I'm ready to destroy Hadred." He pointed to a larger device nearby. "I love how everyone refers to radiation as poison. Of course, no one here knows what an A-bomb is." This cocky fellow shrugged. Truly strange terms he handed out. "So, you know those explosions happening around here? I caused those. I love how my henchmen follow my orders into my doom." Like Allen wanted to hear his gloating. "More lovely... is that a lot of people decided to leave. Not only my own people but also those living in Hadred left the city shortly before I detonated the bombs. They all went boom!" A despicable cackle followed. So, in other words... Shadow followed Aronai's order into their own deaths--unbeknownst to them. He sighed happily. "So, I push this button, and all of Hadred explodes. What lives of civilization will cease to exist. But... if you desire, I can spare this city. Only if you tell me about the staff."
