"I can do many things but I haven't really gotten the scope of it myself, but I am very good at surviving things and destroy things. and manipulate things"

Yeria replied to lag and looked at the monster and sighed, this seemed like one helluva foe to beat, she wondered if they had any good plans while she herself was thinking for a way to beat it, they would have to combine their attacks somehow.

"Well. . . we have to stop it somehow. Might as well try now, before it can hurt anything else." Naum said firmly, looking at the . . . thing with a cold intent, as the air around her seemed to haze up- it was gathered heat, ready to be used.

Kutask is also concerned. {Yes...you just spit up some life fluid...} He obviously means the blood.

"Ok then... first thing first then, we need to destroy his weapons. If we can do that, we might be able to limit his attacks!" Lag said as his fist blazed and his feet howled the wind.

Looking back, all of the past battles had very importants messages, but the one that made that obvious was that every element had it's counter. All of them.

"We need to form pairs, so that we can counter and shield each other." He said as he looked at the shinigami. He would attack any second now...

Heinmir jolted back when he and Jenoth touched lips. A high creature in his view practically stooped to his level, so this incident came as a surprise and a shock. Even though the contact hit suddenly, the exiting of light strained his mind far more. Pain. Jenoth pulled away and rambled on for a bit; in the meantime, Heinmir thought. I feel drained... did she drain my light to heal herself? Images of Simeira his wife fluttered around in his head, for he received his last kiss from Simeira... until now. A moment of remorse tugged at his chest; nevertheless, he waded in the sorrow for a few seconds--he had already moved on.

"My head is fine now," Jenoth replied gleefully. She inhaled deeply and let out a satisfied sigh. "Thank you for your concern. It did save my life, after all."

"Save your life?" Heinmir inquired with a keen interest. "..." His mind traveled back; did she not die already? That reaper destroyed her skull. Answers would have to come later, for Jenoth continued her talking.

"We do not have time to waste. Wait..." The Dragon scratched the side of her head, closed her eyes, and tensed slightly; she appeared to be thinking quite sincerely. "Right, we don't have time at all, but that is a different story. The others need our help. Come." Of course, the other three received no choice in the matter due to the fact that Jenoth already opened a blanket of darkness below them. Falling proceeded--nothing new.

~~~~~
Gwen acted and pulled everyone out of the way of the Wind-Dark strike successfully. The others attempted to conceive a plan and charged their elements; however, the plan aspect failed miserably. The wind portion of the last attack redirected the entire mass of darkness. That ridiculous attack sped towards them from behind. Only Lag and Gwen could slow it down. At that, the enemy swept its scythe around, sending out an icy chill. The temperature instantly dropped 100s of degrees, and darkness instantly cluttered the entire plain; nonetheless, the heat that Ignaz and Naum expelled acted as a barrier against the cool, although their blaze barely permitted sight. The original attack could no longer been seen; although, Lag and Gwen knew the general area at which the Dark element would hit. Sadly, the others did not. Their combined elements of wind would have to hold off the entire blast themselves; however, a simple barrier would not suffice, and dodging could not function without knowing the location of the attack. Yeria could see perfectly through the black; even so, she could not defend in time from that incoming way of destruction. Ignaz and Naum were completely blind and far too slow; nonetheless, life required their heat. Time lacked to formulate a plan. Action must take place immediately.
At another location in the cold pitch black, Heinmir, Jenoth, Kutask, and Light arrived. The chill affected Heinmir, for he owned the Light element. Additionally, Jenoth survived perfectly fine. A reason lacked. On the other hand, Light barely managed with his water element, and Kutask nearly froze over. A spirit is not affected by cold; however, the darkness was clearly an element or elements. "I will take a guess that the rest of you cannot see a thing. Heinmir make some light."
The Durask acted instantly. "Understood." A sphere of sight and warmth surrounded the four quickly. A distinct trust had built up in his heart for the Dragon lady--and, in fact, the other key-wielders--and, although he did not understand why, he accepted what delved into his heart and mind.
The short distance they could see in each direction showed flat, dry soil. While everything else could not answer questions, Jenoth did. "The final enemy is around here. The others--our friends--will need our help." Jenoth turned to Kutask, before glancing at Light and Heinmir. "This is our new hivemind--new family. Shall we protect it?"
Lag cursed as he grabbed tightly his staff and spun it in a circular motion. He willed the wind to be split into 2 currents, one cold and one hot. With any luck, he would make both currents spin together and create a tornado, which would be somewhat easier to manage than a total killer wind.
The concentration needed to be perfect, since he only knew somewhat of the winds way. Ignaz took control of the winds temperature, lowering and heating up 2 separate currents while he eyed Gwen. "Gwen! Take control of the wind!" Lag screamed as he launched with his free hand separate fireballs that circled the group as well as heated them somewhat. They would not extinguish as long as his will was alive.
Naum saw Lag trying to defend them- so she summoned another huge wave of fire and heat, thrusting it towards where he was attacking- she didn't know where everything was, so it was as good a guess as any.
Light nodded "After so much, I'm not giving up on you guys." he said with a smile, shaking off the brief moment of cold before they were warmed "Where is this enemy? I want to end this and get down to what we were meant to do... whatever that is." he looked all around him, trying to spot something out of the darkness.
Despite his elemental key powers, he felt incredibly weak. He knew he had unprecedented power within him before the keys, but this realm was so devoid of light no matter where he went... he understood that he could use his powers over water and earth now to pose a dangerous force as well, but he continued to feel weak without natural light fueling his innate powers as an elemental incarnation. Then he got an idea.
"Jenoth... can you make light shine down from the sky like you did before? My real power's in light, and if I could use that and see where the bad guy is, I might be able to end this quickly."
Maybe we can deflect it if we can't block it
Yeria thought and she quickly conjured up her shadowy energies and she noticed the tornado that was forming and she used that and infused it with all of her might, it was just raw power here no time for finesse.
She hoped dearly it would work that they could stop this attack, she hoped their combined elements would be able to help at all. She used her raw brute force to create many small shards of a barrier to try to deflect the incoming attack. Combining it with the already strong torrent of wind to utilize it's force to knock away pieces of the destructive energy wave headed for them.
Heinmir stared at Jenoth carefully. She claimed the eight of them as family. Hesitation clocked his head, for the many recent events had been forced upon him. The Dragon lady, however, asked. The Durask considered the matter deeply and seriously. Simeira, I failed to protect you. That hesitation ran away, for anger and determination overtook him. But, I won't fail again. "Let us end this."
"Well, we all agree," Jenoth spoke grinning supremely. "Although," She spun around to the little Atlantean, "Light, I must say that you have asked the wrong person." Her motions leaned to Heinmir, for he wielded the Light key. "Take it away!" She stepped aside, as if some opening act to a play.
The complete nonchalance of Jenoth off-set Heinmir slightly; nonetheless, he delayed none in acting. "Darkness, I am your nightmare. You can neither escape nor hide yourself, for I am your unrelenting terror!" A halberd formed in his hands. "Perish!" All shreds of strength and power this man owned launched the weapon directly up. The object vanished into the black and lacked direct result; however, a few seconds later, immense light blasted away the empty covering. Even the ominous clouds died and disappeared. Looking up, they saw the halberd hanging air. Light (not the person) circled the blade--reminiscent of a lighthouse. As Light (the person) desired, the sky had been cleared completely. At that, they noticed the stories-high beast in the distance.
A fair distance away, the other five struggled for survival. Lag, with the help of Ignaz, formed a twister that severely hampered the attacks speed. The combination of Naum and Gwen's elements forced the spinning wind of doom to multiply, for the contact of hot and cold created even more wind. Normally, the multiple wind current would cancel each other out; however, Yeria's shield of shattered darkness sustained them long enough. The pieces acted as a core of sorts. By the time the strike hit, all semblance of speed and force had been destroyed. Even so, the power--darkness--continued. Neither winds provided any protection. The attack simply sliced through the tornadoes; furthermore, Naum's blaze accomplished little, receiving the same result of the other two elements. The tiny pikachu's protection remained. Upon contact with the shards, the offensive blackness shattered into thousands. Sadly, these tiny pieces did not stop. Nothing could be done to save their skin... then something was done.
A ridiculous blaze of light whacked everything. While the attack became overwhelmed and "perished," Lag, Naum, Gwen, Ignaz, and Yeria gained strength and warmth. At that, the surroundings had been completely cleared up. Shadows became non-existent, and, more importantly, they could see!
Eying the big, large, massive, enormous, and gigantic creature, Jenoth passed on the comment, "Wow, he grew. And drat, I forgot to bring Cerberus. We'll just have to chew on him." Despite her humorous tone, her expression revealed nothing but disgust. "I think he is stunned and surprised. Let's attack now. I follow your lead."
The other five could not hear or see these four, and vise versa. However, the monster stood still and threw out no more attacks, so no better time to hit the being.
"Everyone! Attack!" Lag said as he realized that only stalling and planning wouldn't do much as the monster had the strength and means to put everyone to their graves.
In their minds, Ignaz and Lag were arguing the best way to attack. All single elements would be overturned and crushed and also simple combos would prove inefective. Or that's what they thought.
The real Lag was circling his staff as a new tornado appeared, the maximum expression of wind... But he needed to add more elements to it!
With one stroke of fire, the Tornado was set ablaze. But... this was still not enough. He knew that this wasn't enough.
"Guys, pair up with someone and combine the elements!" Lag screamed to them. "And attack him!" He said as he willed both fire and Tornado to set apart... and attack in high blazes of windslash, as if the winds were hot blades that clashed unto that Creature. "Don't you dare forget why we are fighting this monster! Why we must stop him here and now!"
The tornado shortly dissipates as an incoming Lag travels in the speed sound against the monster. He felt that air was inside of him, as he willed the wind to compact to the size of a fist and then with fire, he lit him up.
BOOM!
A explosion inside the monster ocurred, as Lag quickly retreated.
Kutask rushes in, creating a barrier around him that pushes air out of his way as he moves to increase his speed. He prepares to summon a spire of earth, then realizes that something in that beast will protect it from such a simple attack...
So he flings some sand up into the burning tornado he notices. He seeks to turn the sand into molten glass, to add momentum. {Help the tornado!} he tells his allies.
Yeria thinks for a quick while and she uses her innate electricity based powers in conjunction with her darkness based destructive ones to empower this tornado making the lightning arc trough it hopefully to discharge a super destructive attack on the creature, her dark shards remained working as a sort of jump points for the arcs as well as more power for it. She began to charge up a ball of compact dark energy in the center of the tornado as well hoping that when the tornado unleashed it's full potential it would reach critical state and explode violently as well in a shock wave of destruction, she made it in the eye of the storm to protect it from outside influence and as well as a bit of a surprise attack against the creature, she made the orb of darkness have many serrated dark edges on it that would shatter when it blows up and strike the foe.
She used all of her power to empower all of this making them stronger and concentrating to sync it with the allies attacks. This was an all or nothing moment in her eyes and she felt the tinge of worry in her.
Naum saw the tornado building. . . so she added in several orbs of superheated dark water into it. As soon as it hit the monster, they would explode into a pall of steam hot enough to melt metal, as well as make a nice big explosion, each of them, to boot.
"Now that's what I mean!" Light shouted with a vicious smirk as he immediately knew what he had to do to contribute.
He paused for a split second, though, as he came up with an even better idea than using his innate powers alone Natural light... it can turn to make a powerful laser... if I can turn it sharper... his memories thought back to his mother. A trick she had shown him with her power over water combined with his. It was as simple as a magnifying glass shaping the light further than he ever could alone...
"That's it!" he threw up his hands and created a sheet of ice up high above him, between the halberd. With a thought, he focused much of the light right into the thick ice, bending it just slightly until in a flash, a focused beam of light shot forward, right into the tornado. Light was clearly wracking himself as he continued to channel the beam through to the elemental bomb they were creating and contain it as best he could. Waves of light energy lashed off the sides of the tornado, but more kept coming in.
He muttered, trying his best not to lose the intense concentration he was putting forth "Make this one count guys..."
"Let's do this!" Gwen yelled as she compressed as much air as she could into a whirlwind before sending it at the creature, a good four city blocks of air compressed into a cone the size of a soup can.
Heinmir, watching the many elements surge forth, grabbed seconds to think over his own assist. Victory shall be ours. First, he directed the halberd's light into the icy magnifying glass and added far more power to that light. The light beam tripled in size and power. Second, the Durask created a lance with a metal chain and threw the weapon to the top of one rock pillar. As the pointed object gained altitude, the chain lengthened, and, when it finally reached the top, Heinmir commanded the chain to decrease in length thereby thrusting him upward. Upon landing at the top, he lashed out with several bladed weapons. These armaments dove into two other giant stalagmite and cut their bases at a slant. The loose upper halves slid directly towards the monster. The plan included crumbling these two rock masses at the monster's feet. Finally, he, as a simpler strike, called upon thousands of halberds, spears, swords, and other metallic weapons. They surrounded the beast. Suddenly, all descended onto the enemy.
Additionally, Jenoth joined in the assault. Noting that the others joined their elements, she decided to create her own combo. Many keys brightened. "This is the end. You die now!" Double wind tossed her high into the air. I have learned. "I own Knowledge and understand Emotion." Air swirled around her right arm, lightning surged through her left arm. "Order by Peace. Peace by Order!" Dead ice became her platform and bright clouds her roof. "Determination fills our hearts, so Survival is our key." Barren sand formed in front of her and sturdy rock held the prior in place. "Truth shall succeed and the Direction is clear! You want your destiny so badly. Have it!" Shining flames and clouded fire swirled in her mouth. First, the burning elements dashed forward and broke through the earthen container. The sand melted into glass--a stolen idea--and the other substance shattered into shards. Ice met with the scorcher. The opposite temperatures added air current--force--to the strike, while the clouds and lightning added moisture and magnetism to create a hurricane. Lastly, the two authentic winds shoved the smattering of powers at supersonic speeds. This force picked up the earth shards--yet another dangerous weapon. Molten glass led the way; rain, wind, thunder, lightning, and hail become the body; and spike-laden gusts pushed the overall attack.
Nonetheless, the other seven formed a far superior strike. At the start, Lag and Ignaz created the inferno-ridden whirlwind. Lag dashed through to make a hyper-sonic hit and run. Kutask added sand, thus changing half the Dark Fire into bubbling glass. Then Yeria sent in her native electricity conducted by darkness pieces. These small parts of black increased the strength and volume of the lightning; moreover, they themselves acted as small daggers. As a continuation, the yellow mouse invented, designed, and brought into existence an atom bomb of shadow. This weapon made a focal point of the tornado. Speed and force increased yet more. Naum decided that highly reactive explosive would make a nice mix. And they did. The molten steam balls contacted with Ignaz's fire. The heat ripped the atoms of water apart; however, because Naum forced the water and fire together, the Hydrogen and Oxygen could not attach to other atoms. Effectively, she made plasma. Then the concentrated light dashed through the center of the whirlwind. While ignoring the many other elements, this smacked Yeria's conductors and bomb. The triple control of Yeria, Light, and Heinmir prevented these from bursting in contradiction. They simply furthered in destructive nature. Still yet, the beam pushed forward to the head of the tornado. By the end, the effective laser empowered Lag's tackle with further speed and unrealistic heat. And, finally, Gwen brought into the mix a sound bomb. For the fact of many other forced reactions, her own attack fell prey to the drastic speed of everything. More force, more power, more speed, more volatility. These were what the elements made of each other.
Even though it remained in place for a minute, the monster reacted drastically to the onslaught. The angel wings backtracked at full speed; although, acceleration for this massive creature lacked. The enemy understood facts, for it too owned knowledge. A thick earth wall jumped in front. Metal plating followed and was backed by a pure barrier. While monster attempted a retreat, the protection would block the strikes. Fool. Lag and the Light beam hit first. Unfortunately, the Kitsune bounced off the metal protection. The impact caused supreme pain; however, survival won out. On the other hand, the sonic boom that came with him did anything but reflect. The plating grew hundreds of cracks. Then the laser hit. The armor stood no chance, for the single attack blew a gaping hole through both the frontal metal and the earth wall.
By the time, the creature finally created enough force to push away; nevertheless, the unexpected took place. A sonic boom cracked on the inside of the monster. As a hallow creature, the enemy could rather easily have attacks erupt on the inside. Little actual damage formed; nonetheless, distraction--possibly by pain--consumed the opponent's attention. Of note, the rob covering blew away in tatters. Now they could clearly see the monstrosity in all the demented glory.
In the meantime, electricity and hot glass collided with the remaining outer plating. First the black lightning ate away at the metal. Several more holes formed. Where the electricity failed to destroy, the hot glass melted into the defense. Glass, as a typically frail substance, only added weakness. Next, the Dark Fire cut slits into the outer protection and into the middle potion. Many of the dark conductors finally crashed into the wall. Unlike all the previous hits, these exploded loudly and strongly. These impacts produced dozens of craters. Nothing remained of the outside metal barrier.
The monster regained focus and, realizing that its shield would not hold long, continued the backwards progression. Except... two enormous rock slabs pummeled the feet. Granted, the monster was above the ground by several feet (few meters); however, fifty-foot tall pillars did not pay any attention. The collapsing rocks pushed the opponent's bottom half forward. And, basically, the creature fell upon its back. Then, the barrage of Heinmir weapons collided with the bone; although literally no damage was made, distraction grabbed attention once more.
At this point, Jenoth's combo walloped the shield. Glass weakened first, then the storm softened and battered, and, last but not least, the spike-carrying wind splintered and impacted. Nothing remained of the earth wall, so the key-wielder had the secondary armor and energy barrier left to break. Though, the can-o-boom that Gwen produced transformed the last armor into metal shavings. The rest of Yeria's conductors and her nuclear bomb collided with what survived.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!
Not even dust was left of the shield. Strangely, the entire blast wave progressed forward. However, this was fortunate; the plasma orbs moved forward uninhibited. By this time, the enemy regained standing position but that alone. Seeing the last strikes flying its way, the giant creature spun the sword wildly, for the orbs bounced off or stopped at the metal blade. Once the sword relaxed, the monster stepped forward to engage its move. The pointed object, however, began to rust. Naum lost control of her plasma... so the atoms decided to rejoin their neighbors. The invisible of the world apparently loved the sword; in fact, they adored this metal! Only oxide came out, so the entire blade was rust. Then the rust became dust. In pure anger, the monster roared loudly.
Counter-attack appeared next. The opponent raised up its scythe to attack; however, one fatal flaw: the Light beam continued! Nothing could be done to protect that thing's sternum now. Heat dried the bone. Soon enough, that and a few ribs became nothing more than pieces. Desperation reacted, for a wild blast of darkness suddenly contradicted and out-powered the Light. With Winds and Weapon, the Dark threatened to destroy both Light's icy magnifier and Heinmir's Light generator. As originally intended, the monster struck the ground with the scythe. Quickly, the ground around the beast separated, shattered, and lifted. As a follow-up counterstrike, all the earth shot into the sky. This time the ground blotted out sky light, so the Light-making spear became the only source of light. That touched only the surface. Rain came. Not water, weapons! Every pointed weapon imaginable dropped from the sky. On top of that, rock boulders came along for the trip. As if those couldn't be enough, the monster swung the scythe once more... and again and again! A drastic wave of barrier-covered darkness marched forward--no wind this time. This marched toward Yeria, Naum, and Gwen. A thirty-foot (10 meter) lighting strike jumped out of the second swipe. This one swung towards Ignaz and Lag and easily matched Lag's speed (far surpassing Ignaz's). From that third, water and fire. This attack mimicked Naum's precisely and swooped in on Kutask, Light, Jenoth, and Heinmir's direction. As a last, the monster lifted into the air.
Lag noticed both the weapons and the lighting as they both came to Lag.
"Lag, quick! Use the blades-..."Ignaz began to say, but Lag already knew to well how to counter attack it.
Wha he did here was a succesions of moves that required both agility and knowlegde. Thanks to his key, he knew that the lightning could be diverted and even conducted throught some kind of conductor. And what better source than metal?
As a true Airbender (no pun intended here) He began to grab every weapon he could and created a single line of weapons, that were fused with the flames of Ignaz, creating what seemed to be a giant line of metal. The idea was to use that line to receive the lightning and send it back to the death God. He added the last sword, aiming to where the monster was. As soon as he finished, the lighting hit at the beginning. Lag hoped for his plan to work.
Gwen whipped up an incredible wind around her, yeria and naum, deflecting any nearby weapons and lifting them up into the air, away from the wave of darkness.. "Keep up the pressure! let's send this reaper, this shinigami to it's own element! We are life, it is death, life will prevail over death for where there is death there must be life!" She yelled. I have NOT come this far to die. This is my chance, my chance to redeem myself for what i caused. the lives i ruined in my quest for revenge... the lives i ended... my power without the key could level cities, but now... perhaps... Gwen thought as she kept up the wind, however, in the plauged wind black fire flickered, disintigrating any of the weapons it touched. "Don't repeat your attacks, this thing is copying us! It's reading what we do and sending it back, chances are the same thing twice won't work!" Gwen yelled as she gathered another air bomb, still a cone but with drill spirals down the sides. there was a small green and black orb in the middle, a combination of her plauge wind and black fire concentrated down to the size of a marble, which would explode seconds after the main air bomb penetrated whatever it hit. spinning it up, causing a loud whirring noise Gwen yelled, "Someone hit it first! yeria, Naum, add your power to this!" as she prepared to fire the cone.
"When you surf with sharks you may not get bitten... but don't act like it was an unforeseen tragedy when you do."
Interpretation may be the father of all beliefs, but Assumption is the mother of all fuckups. I should know, I'm a prime example...
"In life we get to pick our poisons, may as well pick the fun one."
"The mechanic of the sequence; the power to progress, We have no time to waste; no time to relax, The passion of beginning; it's the pleasure of the end, It's watching things we initiate to a state we never meant." ~chorus from Mechanic of the Sequence by Neuroticfish.
{Copying...? I see...} Kutask feels a bit of panic at first, but he tries to channel that into his power. He forms an extremely thin barrier right in front of the wind explosive and reinforces it, making a few small holes in the tip. Despite its thinness, however, it is sharp enough to cut diamond - a mono-filament barrier, for all intents and purposes. Designed specifically to pierce the creature's power, and unleash the wind bomb and key elements into the beast. The barrier is also designed to be destroyed should too much pressure from within hit it...thus making it hard to truly block the attack.
Further, at the bomb's edges, earth flies in to meet with the wind, in the form of sharpened sand - rocks compressed to iron-hardness and almost as sharp as the piercing barrier he formed. The sharpened sand whips through the gale-force wind bomb at astonishing speed. On a whim, Kutask tries to change some of the earth to metal - he fails, but perhaps that would be enough to conduct further power? {Yeria, charge the sand with lightning!} he tells her through the link. {And Light...change the compressed sand to iron!}
Finally, nearing the limits of his ability to multitask, he calls out, {If you have water, help me attack his scythe!} He tries to force the blade to corrode, weakening its strength...and its magic. Unfortunately, he can only create enough barrier to (barely) deflect the incoming attack from himself...if that.
Yeria herself heard the command from kutask and nodded as more darkness powered lighting shot out and began charging the semi metal rock that existed in the torrent of elemental energy they were building up again. This time she commanded the shadow of the foes weapon to begin disintegrating the weapons themselves by their all consuming energy. She concentrated on this while keeping the charge up on the torrent as well as instead of making shards of darkness that worked as a splinter cannon of a sorts she made a thin barrier around the tornado that swirled with it and it had many small barbs of darkness on the outside to rip and tear at whatever they reached. She also with panting from the great strain of all of this multitasking she made a spike of super concentrated darkness that would shoot out towards the foe at incredible speeds thanks to the energy in the torrent of force when it hit.
Naum watched as the others built up a big strike. . . Might as well distract it so it can't block.
Suddenly, a cloud of superheated steam appeared around the head of this monster, blinding it, displacing everything but water vapor at a thousand degrees- providing a measure of burning suffocation, to boot. But it was only a distraction, that was furthered when she pulled her revolver, and pumed heat into the bullets, letting off all six rounds in quick succession, with a small dark water cocoon around each. . . steering them to all hit at once, and from all points on the compass. He wouldn't know -where- the attack was coming from, and if he was panicked, well, all the better to hit with everything else.
As the darkness pulsed from the giant monster, Light let out a yell, losing his concentration on the light and his ice glass with a splitting headache. He had never bent light in such a drastic way before and he reeled at the taxing backlash of the sudden disconnection from his power. The giant manifestation of his water power began to plummet without him concentrating on holding it up.
He stared up in a daze at the falling weapons above them "Won't let you hurt them..." he muttered and caught the falling icy magnifying glass, quickly stopping it above the group around him in a dome. His arms shook as he held the shattering ice in place over them while trying to reinforce it.
It was increasingly obvious that the little Atlantean had put everything he had into that last attack by using his natural powers rather than his key powers, panting in exhaustion now. he wasn't going to hold out much longer at this rate...
Heinmir reeled back from the Dark blast. Because Light's icy glass fell, the spear torch had no protection. To protect the light source, he threw many spears in front of the light source and magnified the sheer amount of light ten-fold. While the Light contradicted the enemy's Dark attacked, the weapons placed their points together and started to spin. Effectively, a spinning shield protected the original weapon. In the meantime, Heinmir took cover under the frozen water ceiling. Then the idea sprung in his mind. As the Dark strike hit and engulfed the original torch (the defense did not work), the Durask tossed dozens more of the torches into the air. More of the spinning shields formed on top of the weapons in order to deflect the weapon and rock drops. The Darkness stays dead. All measures of power focused on strengthening that brightness and did it. High noon would fail in competition. Highest noon.
While Heinmir and Light handled the other attacks, Jenoth focused on the orbs of plasma. She summoned several blades and sent them forward. When the Fire-Water attacks closed in, the blades spun vertically and sliced the spheres in half. Even though the blades did fall to dust after contact, the plasma deteriorated and became of null use. She could have decided to assault the monster; nonetheless, Light was more important. "My turn to save you." The Dragon lifted the ice block off Light and held it herself; furthermore, an essence of light drifted to Light. Energy flashed through the Atlantean's veins instantly. Still yet, Jenoth repaired the ice block completely.
In the meantime, Lag and Ignaz countered the lighting. As intended, the electricity hit the receiver; however, the plan failed from that point on. The enemy's attack did not channel through the lightning rod and broke through the receiver. Apparently, the elements follow their master's orders--not physic's rules. Fortunately, since Lag could move speedily, he did dodge. Ignaz was not so fortunate, for all the gigawatts of power circulated through his body. When the entire strike ended, only ash remained of Ignaz. Panic hit Lag, so did pain. While escaping the lighting assault, a super-sized rock plummeted upon him. In an instant, Lag found new meaning to skull-crusher. Double death.
Fighting back, Naum created ridiculous temperatures around the creature's head and let loose six pistol shots. Unfortunately, the superheated steam produced little results, for the beast owned eyes nor breathed air. In other words, she had nothing to blind or suffocate. Fortunately, she made distractions. The bullets ended the same way, for the bullets bounced off bone and the dark water only splashed. Again, disarray formed--even if for a second.
Kutask, Gwen, and Yeria focused on a combination strike of their own; unfortunately, Light could not participate as Kutask wished. Gwen started the attack. Sonic winds zoomed in a sphere. The addition of a two-phase bomb created a center to the gusty structure, thereby expanding the attack as whole. Kutask added a frontal casing to the bomb, thus adding to the center and total size of the sphere. Moreover, he put blade-shaped sand inside. As a follow-up, Yeria threw in her electricity, thereby solidifying the sand into sharp glass shards. Additionally, Yeria tinted the the exteriors of the windy swirl with darkness, sent out destructive orbs on the outside, and latched on a Dark spike explosive to the already-impressive center. In the process, Gwen's gusts blew away the weapons, and Yeria's shadow waves ate the falling boulders. Unfortunately, no protection stood between them and the shielded darkness, so they only could launch the attack in their grasps. And they did.
As the combined assault of elements jumped forward, Heinmir's light struck the surroundings. Apparently, twenty torches exceeded the power of one. Actually, the monster's dark wave faded from that sheer brightness. Without propulsion, the barrier hung in the air. Useless. The glass-filled, darkness-covered, bomb-filled sphere of wind charged on, avoiding the enemy's attack all-together. Catching on to the incoming strike, the monster raised another wall of earth--identical to the one used before. Same defense, but different attack. The outer hull of the ball--Yeria's barrier--ate completely through front armor and took a chuck of the earthen portion. Furthermore, those orbs of destruction blasted many smaller craters into the defense. The glass hit next, but made little mark. On the other hand, Kutask's cutting barrier performed scales above his expectations. Not only did the blade cut completely through the earth and metal protection, but also impacted and shattered the entire rear shield. His barrier broke as well, but now a tower of shattered "glass" plummeted towards the foe. And the shadowy sonic explosive marched through the barrier shards. Interestingly, the creature noticed not the attack about to hit.
CRRRAAACCKKK!!! Delayed... BOOM! While the sound paled in comparison to Yeria's previous bomb, the damage far exceeded. Even proper aim lacked yet the attack worked incredibly well. The spike drove into an arm's bone. Then the air bomb let loose, shoving the make-shift drill bit forward and shaving off small pieces of bone. The second bomb exploded when the entire elemental device passed into the inside of the hollow beast. Of note, the dark matter drill expanded as well. Overall, the process decayed large amounts of bone. Actually, all the connecting structures to the main body broke off. The arm fell off.
"ROAHHHHH!!!" A painful shriked loosed, as the monster dropped to knees.
In the meantime, Ignaz and Lag met up with their predecessor--Nur--in the deep blackness. "Ack, come on! What was that display, man?" The spiritual creature circled the two of them. "No time to explain. You have to get back out there. And... don't worry about me, I'll only be dead. Again." No measure of sadness marked this being. "Maybe I'll meet the one who rules all. Who knows about the afterlife, anyways? Good luck!" Nur dove into the two. And then they shook awake, returning the battlefield of moments ago. Although, a couple things had changed. First, the enemy missed his arm, second, the sky no longer rained weapons and giant rocks, and, third, both Ignaz and Lag owned the wavy, immaterial body that Yeria, Gwen, and Kutask did.
After receiving such a severe beating, the beast still managed to stand up. Deep rage flowed over the monster--something changed. With only a change of demeanor, a wretched force weighed on the entire surroundings and the eight. Gwen took immediate notice that the power of the enemy increased manifold. Too late. Using the one arm, the monster swung the scythe in a circle over its head. Immediately, a swirl of wind formed. Typical, the creature made tornado. The thing lacks ingenuity and originality; however... the sheer force sucked in everyone but Gwen and Lag. 500 mile per hour (800 kph) whirlwinds tend to attract the surroundings, and did it. Along with key-wielders and Jenoth, the rock pillars rooted from ground and disintegrated into rocks and dust. Even the Light's ice block and Heinmir's torches succumb to the utter power. This attack alone stretched those with physical form--Heinmir, Light, Naum, and Jenoth. If nothing stopped the ridiculous speed gain, then those four would be torn to shreds. Though... neither Gwen nor Lag could counter the wind by pure strength.
One move threatened life, yet more came. Seconds after the monster birthed the tornado, hundreds of Dark waves dashed out randomly. The size equaled the original attack's, yet doubled in speed. The growth in numbers surpassed reasonable math. Still to be done, a torrent of blazing weapons charged in from the rear. So, on top of surviving the wind, the eight had to dodge onslaughts from the front and rear. The situation yet fell darker--literally. Granted, some of Heinmir's torches broke; however, that related none to the cause. The darkness that Heinmir "killed" resurfaced stronger again. Evening light barely survived the first moments but would not last long. Finally, the tornado sent out clumps of earth and metal touching the size of a house. While the dark waves filled the speedy slot and the fiery blades the flanking slot, those barn-sized bundles created the overwhelming. Oh, and to add injury to insult, car-sized hail plummeted from the sky. Now, an Aerial attack to handle as well.
And then the worse possibility transpired: the monster charged at full force. The tornado continued with the center piece. The seventy to eighty foot (thirty meter) monster moved at the same speeds Lag and Gwen. The target became pretty clear: Naum. If the others did not come to save her, then she would die regardless. Unfortunately, Gwen was the only close enough and fast enough to physically get to Naum in time. Moreover, the others had to worry about the other attacks. Could they save Naum and themselves?
Kutask panics as he sees and feels the absolute destructive force around them. He's fought small armies, even fairly large ones, defending his hive, but this...this is too much for him to handle without worry. He's never seen true Evil before this day...and only faced it in combat once so far.
His mind working at a million RPM, he creates a bisecting barrier in the tornado, just thick enough to block the wind, then forces the shape of his toughest barriers ever, forged of compressed barrier and earth, to protect all his allies and himself. The barriers are tougher than adamantine, but fairly small to keep his willpower from being too exerted. {I need more defense!} he shouts over the mind link, relaying the need to protect themselves for this next assault, as well as retaliate.
He then realizes that the link is far, far stronger than before, even with line of sight somewhat blocked. {Have I really grown that much...?} Surprised, he tries something new, yet familiar to him.
He taps into his allies' wills, hoping that maybe...just maybe...their combined strength can add just a little more oomph to their Keys. It's certainly not a "true" hivemind, but it's enough that they can, if they want, operate on the same wavelength, not even needing to "communicate" to get their thoughts across.
Yeria does what she can and electrifies the armor that is in front of her while making a sheet of darkness around the walls trying to obliterate anything that strikes them, the electricity is to harden the metal making a powered armor.
She makes any piece of earth and stone around them and the barriers be littered with spikes of darkness that are aimed towards the giant monster and when it reaches a destination they will shoot out to impale it, they are very many and littered all across the pieces of earth that is flying around them. and at any ground that are able to be spiked. Hopefully it would do enough to halt it or slow it, she hopes that it will impale him so much so it slows down the tornado as the pieces are then anchored to him and will skewer him and halt the tornado, or at least she hopes that will be the effect of the immense web of spikes that will shoot out from the many pieces of earth that is flying around. She really hopes it would entangle the beast at least and eat away at it. consuming it's flesh with it's obliterating powers. She also begins to gather electricity to make a gigantic bolt of darkness infused lightning to strike the foe.
She makes a large spike of darkness and drives it down into the earth digging very deep and then extending it as a moat around them, she hopes that the heat she can sense from underground can help them against this foe. The moat is very very deep. She hopes that whatever is in there will.
Lag watched as the tornado form as he groaned. Dying was not such a peaceful and pleasent passing, as depicted in the old scrolls of the Winds Songs.
"That was rough..." He said as he looked at this body and said. "Sweeeet! Free mana!" He said as he felt the overwhelming sense of power rushing back to him.
But anyways, back to the tornado. He learned with the lightning issue that magic obeyed the user, not physics. Such as that, it was a direct battle between wills. Now... He couldn't compete with that alone, not without Gwen to overpower that monster, so he just needed to make him lose his grip of concentration again. That way, the attacks itself were not going to be useful as in terms of damage, but it would be useful, at least if he was correct and have him disperse his mind even more.
Lag and Ignaz began to call 2 types of elemental Wolves: Lightning and Fire. Each one of them were shaped so and began to wander and charge against the beast. Burns and electrical attacks began to crush against the monster, since Lag and Ignaz just created more and more. Dozens... hundreds were appearing!
Not all of them attacked though. There was a of wind wolves that began to run in the opposite direction of the tornado, in hopes of diverting and ending it. The heat of the wolves of fire tried to pass nearby the tornado to create a reflux of temperature and make them too hot for rotation.
