Heinmir clasped his hand over his chest as the pain in his heart still burdened him. His attack hadn't done much to halt the ship, it was tougher than it looked and seemed to be able to control the water on it's own. He looked down at the ocean beneath him and closed his eyes when a faint voice spoke in his head, it became clearer when he focused on it and he managed to pick up a few words, " Go to the ocean "

His eyes opened with a snap and he turned himself in the air so that his head was pointing down while his feet braced against invisible ground he had created out of air. A low boom tore through the air when he pushed away from the invisible ground, the boom sounded like thunder in the distance and before the others could turn around, he hit the water with a loud splash that sent water flying several yards up into the air.

"H-Huh?" Light panted heavily for a moment, briefly exhausted by the power he had put out. He stared at Kutask with a mild look of relief "Kutask... It's... It's good to see you again." he smiled a little and walked up to him, going to give him a hug. "Are you alright? I hope you weren't too scared..."

. . . how the heck are we supposed to kill this thing? she thought with despair, as she stared at the ship for a few seconds, before sinking down towards the water, charging up a bullet to a rather. . . extreme tempature, before firing it at the ship, hoping to have some effect, she didn't have much else. Heat shimmered all around her, hiding her exact position, thankfully. (group three)

"There is a difference between killing your own brother in cold blood and by accident. There are many factors which redeems or damns a person one cannot just look at one action. One must look at the big picture to see whether judgment is fit for their personality and actions. I will punish those that I find have done evil things and I will let those who are good pass and if you come with the sentence that my judgment is wrong then you basically have to live with it, since that is how it will go. I know I'm not perfect but I have to do my best for the sake of everything."

Yeria said with confidence. She was sure of what she said. She would look at the big picture whether they were a good person or a bad person. The one she had just judged she had only felt so many atrocious crimes from him, he had deserved his judgment.

"What is your answer to that?"

Gwen growled then dived straight underwater, attempting to get close by going underwater, creating a tunnel underwater with wind, the sheer air pressure holding the water away from her.

"Good, good! You're learning." Was the spirit training her for her future job? The creature moved backwards, speaking in a more welcoming tone, "You did miss one solution, though. Sacrifice. You may not be perfect, yet all your past wrongs are gone now. Therefore, as far as the new world will be concerned, you are. You can forgive a mass murderer as he gives penitence, but thousands will criticize you." The monster soon moved forward. "You can place his or her punishment on yourself and take the blame. It is your choice, but then no one can rightfully critique your work. I have no more to teach you." The being swayed to Yeria's face. "One warning, nonetheless. Your opponents will become tougher. I cannot be there to assist you, for my purpose has been accomplished." The being entered into Yeria's body and joined her; although, she did not feel any different. Moment after, a hole formed under her platform and she began to fall. Strangely, sand was not below her anymore.

~~~~~
(Group 2)
Disappointing to Kutask's expectations, the Dragon gave no response at all--not even mental. The ice prison fared better than Light could have imagined, as Jenoth made no activity at all. She was utterly frozen solid.
For the next few moments, Kutask, Light, Lag, and, now, Ignaz had some breathing room. Although as Light gave a hug, he noticed Kutask's less-than-solid body. Kutask owned the same spirit-like quality that Gwen did. Of course, Light never met Gwen, so he did not recognize the wispy form; Light and Ignaz, on the other hand, did. Before any could strike up a conversation, an object suddenly appeared above Lag and tackled the poor kitsune to the ground. That object happened to be Yeria. So now the group composed of four: Yeria, Kutask, Light, and the two halves of Lag. Jenoth did not seem to be escaping the ice prison anytime soon, so the four--three and two halves--owned some time to catch up.
~~~~~

(Group 3)

Heinmir entered the water with ease. Every attack missed him in the process, and, when he entered the water, no weapons directed their fire at him. Due to the opacity of the water, he could see for miles easily. Two objects he did notice immediately, however, were Gwen and the ship itself. Obviously, the Gwendolen took the same ideas as Heinmir; however, as her element allowed, she traveled through the water with an air bubble and much speed. Sadly, due to the speed, she did not notice the other thing, as Heinmir did. The ship owned three sizable holes in its hull, but water did not enter. Something manipulated the water.

Gwen managed even better than Heinmir. A few torpedoes shot towards her, but the air bubble redirected each shot away from herself. In no time, she reached the massive battleship. As she boarded, nothing appeared to combat her. Even the source of the emotion element remained in place.

The mirage of heat protected Naum from the weapons easily. Missiles exploded upon touching the warmth, the cannons completely missed for lack of proper visual, and the AA-guns, while getting close on a number of occasions, also flew by Naum harmlessly. On the other hand, Naum's shot hit and pierced easily. The bullet went through the inside of the hull and exited out the bottom end; even so, the hole barely damaged the ship in the grand scheme. One bullet would not cut it, and either would several. The ship could not simply be taken down by small weapons, no matter how powerful. Heavy artillery was needed... or hundreds of bullets.

(Group change. All that were in Group 2 have now been shifted to Group 1. Group 3 has now become Group 2. Group 3 no longer exists.

So, the groups are as follows.

Group 1: Yeria, Kutask, Light, and Lag (plus Ignaz).

Group 2: Naum, Heinmir, and Gwen.

Lag sat down on the ground. Not because he wanted too, but he needed too. Ignaz presence had tired him very much.

"So... What's up with you two?" He said as pointed to Yeria and Kutask. "What happened?"

Heinmir floated in place beneath the surface of the cold ocean water, it was clear, clearer than any water he had been in during his entire life time on his own planet. He could see for miles before a blue wall blocked his sight of what laid beyond. Gwen raced past him in a bubble of air and dodged a score of torpedoes that the massive ship launched at her. He noticed, to his surprise that the ship had a number of holes in its bottom but it didn't seem to take in any of the surrounding water like any normal boat would do.

He drifted around the ship using his key to envelop himself in a ball of water and came up in a direct line towards on of the large holes, there was something, or someone that made sure that the water didn't drag the ship down. A grin appeared on his face beneath the helmet when a plan suddenly came together in his head.
If there is something blocking the water He thought and raised his lance, aiming it towards the hole with a steady hand. The power from his first key, the key of creation and weaponry, flowed through his arm and into the lance. Steadily it grew in length and size until it was as big as the torpedoes the ship fired, a stream of water flowed around the lance and gathered behind it at the handle.
Then just break whatever is blocking it With a soundless boom he released the gathered water and got propelled forward towards the hole with a speed that rivaled Gwen's.

Naum slowly descended, the mirage still in place.
Fuck. . . knew a bullet wouldn't do it. And why did they go under the water. . . strange, but I can't exactly do that. . .
She tried to manuver close to the ship, so she could melt her way onboard at least.

"What? Who's gone?" Light said out loud as he looked up and saw his form "Why are you see-through?" he asked curiously, not understanding the idea of spirits as his world lacked such a concept.

He glanced over to Jenoth "I trapped her... I don't know what's wrong with her." he looked into Kutask's eyes "She attacked us and I got scared... I wanted to help her, but I couldn't get her to see what she was doing... I think she went crazy..." his ears lowered sadly.

Yeria panicked a bit as she was falling. She appreciated that the monster had trained her since that was what he had done right?
She wanted to know if the falling would stop any time soon since it was really uncomfortable and she prayed that it wouldn't hurt when she hit the ground if there was even some ground to hit.
She thought about many things as her head spun as well from the realization of what she just had done. And why there was no sand anymore. Had she been transported somewhere or something?.

Gwen immidiately compressed as much air she could between her hands, pushing the ball of compressed air through the ventalation system of the ship as far as she could. When she couldn't move it any farther she released it, hoping the explosive decompression would do some damage.

(Group 2--Heinmir, Naum, and Gwen)

Gwen's wind strike worked surprisingly well. The ventilation shaft apparently ended inside the ship, so(,) much of the innards exploded. The walls bent outwards, making those original holes much wider. Moments later, the Heinmir and lance flew through one of those holes and ran through the hull on the upper side of the battleship. The combined strikes even destroyed one torpedo launcher and disabled the other. Despite the utter shredding of the hull, the ship did not even begin to sink. Water entered not. With a closer look, Heinmir noticed nothing blocking liquid H2O. Something--or someone--repulsed the water. The next event proved as much.

Once his attack ended, Heinmir plopped back at the surface of the water; however, the decayed water surrounded Heinmir instantly and drug him below. The control over it overpowered Heinmir's by a long shot. The liquid smelt of dead--agonizingly--and swirled around the Durask's neck cutting off his oxygen supply. On top of that, his legs, arms, and torso became strangled. The pressure increased instantly, causing pain to surge through his body, and the pressure continued to grow in intensity. Due to his sensitivity to the elements, he noticed a hardened shell of water surrounding him. Piercing with his weapons might work, but the Durask needed freedom from the water as well. Fortunately, Naum's heat mirage drew into Heinmir's range, so the man could utilize that element. Then again, that alone might not work.

Gwen received a slightly--slightly--better deal. During the airy attack into the hull, her attention was not focused on the nearby target. A Human ship captain--gray beard, blue outfit and hat, and overall gruff appearance included--walked around the corner and sent out a torrent of water. The attack smashed into Gwen harder than a rock-slide of two ton boulders and sent her clean off the ship. Aching Agony stretched her entire being. Once stopped, she noted blood dripping from her nose, mouth, arms, legs, and, in fact, everything. Despite her spiritual existence, the water could still harm her, and, on top of that, she still owned the living quality of blood. After recovering from the momentary daze, Gwendolen saw the captain, and the fact that he was that origin of emotion. He was the cause.

Traveling via heat, Naum proceeded closer to the ship. Her mirage stopped all heavy shots before they got close and melted the smaller ones. Her power had become stronger. No attacks struck her, but, as she moved downward, Naum saw Gwen get blasted by that ship captain. He was the cause of all this... kill him, stop the destruction. Nevertheless, he controlled the element of dark water, the double opposite of Naum's own. Simple direct attacks probably would end with no result, as her first attack against the ship.

~~~~~
(Group 1--Light, Yeria, Lag, and Kutask)
As it happened, all five key-wielders remained in a state of confusion. Light and Kutask stayed together trying to figure things out--like Jenoth's appearance and Kutask's spirity form. Yeria merely stood off to the side. Lag and Ignaz sat down with each other. Lag did not receive an answer to his question. Thanks to the short respite, they all managed to regain their energy--except Kutask who already recovered his own. That respite ended with a loud shatter.
The ice prison broken into thousands of tiny shards. Jenoth was free. The icicles hung in the air mysteriously, and the Dragon stood in the midst of them. "That was... cold!" She yelled loudly, tightening her fists. A darkness shrouded those icicles, preventing Light, or even Yeria, from controlling the ice-shaded dark alone. Pieces of the ground flew up into the air with the ice shards. Darkness covered these as well. While the to-be-attacks formed, Yeria and Kutask's keys started to glow. Will you kill them? I will perform my destiny! So shut it. Since when does youth shut up? "This is your end!" Last straw. NO! And, what will you do that it? A wind bubble formed, spinning the earth and ice into circles, and, eventually, that spin sling-shot the small weapons towards the five. The speed exceeded all their own, minus Lag's. Water, wind, darkness, or fire protection was pointless. Barriers would end up shattering, and earth alone could not bear even the brunt. I never gave splinter of a care to what. Nothing matters except what I should do. These are your friends. MY friends. And I will not let you kill them--destiny means nothing when it. Is. Wrong! By the time the others could even react, Jenoth sent out a large vertical wave of earth towards the others. Great another attack. Then... wind sped the earthen strike up. More to worry about.
All that changed in a moment. Surprisingly, the earthen wave caught up to the the other attacks, and the attack spread out into a wall. A barrier glossed the backside of the earth wall. Both of the Sliver's keys shined brightly. The windy, darkness-covered frozen water and rocky pieces smashed into the wall. The earth portion broke away, and the barriers cracked; however, all attacks ended in complete failure. Thus, the key-wielders received no harm. Then Jenoth stopped moving and all assault ceased. Do you think you can resist me? You exist only as a part of me, so I can still thrust you into a corner. Should I care? If that's your choi-NO! Answer my frickin' question. ANSWER IT. Ought I to care? Mental silence. No, you should not. Your destiny matters most of all. Jen suddenly dropped to her knees and grabbed her head. "GAHHHH!!!" The shrieked echoed repeatedly. "Get out of my HEAD!!!" Unlike the previous time with Gwen and Heinmir, she seemed to be losing--to what, no one knew. Jenoth needed help.
Kutask immediately realizes that the assault is mental, from the lack of assailant and the obvious pain on the dragon's face. He backs up, and does something he hasn't before.
Creating a mind link with all of his present allies, Jenoth included, he delves into her mind, hoping to get some kind of clue as to what was causing her to lose herself.
Gwen growled as she recovered and threw up a barrier of wind. "So you're the cause of this." She said. "You do realize what you are doing and what we'll do to stop you right?" she said before firing a whip-thin shot of air towards the captian as a more powerfull attack shot at the nearest deck gun.
Heinmir grinned when he tore through the ship and left a gaping hole after him, though his victory was short lived for not only did he miss whatever source that controlled the water, he also noted that the water did not flow into the boat despite the much larger holes in it. he was suddenly aware of a weight around his limbs and neck, water that he could best describe as decayed squeezed his limbs tightly and dragged him back down below the water. The power that coursed through the decayed water far surpassed his own, he couldn't hope to get control over this water even if he put all his power to it, it was only a secondary power to him after all. to his horror he felt the water around his neck tighten as well as his torso and limbs, pain shot through his whole body and he he didn't even manage a muffled scream. He jerked with all his strength, hoping that he could break whatever was holding him but no matter how much he struggled he couldn't break the the chains that held him down. the stench of rot filled his nose despite being underwater, it was more like he sensed the stench rather than actually feeling it, looking past his own self he noticed a hardened shell surrounding him, it looked frail, like it could easily be pierced by his lance but because of the rotten water that restricted his movements and slowly squeezed the life out of him. A feeling of heat reached his senses and in the corner of his eye he could see Naum hovering above the water surface, she had to be the source of the heat, just what he needed to break free. Reaching out with his power he grasped the heat and let it flow into his armor, heating it up slowly at first but speeding up the process the hotter it got. At first nothing seemed to happen but then his armor suddenly burst out in a orange glow that made the water around him sizzle and bubble, but it was not enough he needed more to get free and so he poured even more heat into his armor until it glowed with a more white light.
damn you! I'll burn you and your death machine! I'll reduce you to cinders! he thought and threw his lance as hard as he could towards the surface, aiming at the ship. Before the lance left his hand however a chain materialized around his arm and the lance, they were now connected and once the lance hit the ship, with the destructive force Heinmir managed to throw it with, he could hopefully drag himself to safety from the water.
Lag observed the process that made that curious creature, the Sliver. Somehow, he felt the emotions, fears, thoughts of everyone that was in that same place...
Including Jenoth.
"Just as I thought..." Ignaz said as he observed Jenoth struggle. "Something is definetly controlling Jenoth."
"That or she has gone waaaaaaay more crazy than usual." Lag said as he just crossed his feet and began to meditate. If the link on their minds were to be found, whatever that was controlling Jenoth could easily possess anybody that were off guard. To shield the mind would likely be the best course of action.
"Ignaz, sorry to ask so soon..." He said as he looked at shadow and said "No worries. You know that if you go down, so will I, so focus on your task and beware." Ignaz stepped forward and prepared to fight a battle that he knew he could not win.
Naum saw this. . . person, who appeared to be the cause of all this. She felt some of the heat being drawn off, so she built it up, hotter than before. She seemed to be examining him, looking for some chink in his presumed defence.
Before she slowly drew her pistol, taking note of the now-bleeding companion.
How. . . how can someone who is dead, bleed?
And so she fired at this man, a concentrated metal bullet, way past it's melting point but still holding together speeding towards the man.
Light's eyes widened as he felt the link being formed and saw into Jenoth's mind. He was put at a slight ease as she appeared to be fighting for control, but his thoughts quickly turned to worry when he realized that he was still helpless to do anything.
"I knew she couldn't really want to hurt us..." Light said in a concerned tone of voice "We have to do something... What can we do to help her? We have to help her!" he exclaimed, hoping that someone else had the answer.
Acclue: "Stupid brownout -.-"
Lifon: "Sorry Clue D:"
Acclue: "What, did you blow up a transformer or something? :P"
Fisk: "Damn you lifon stop blowing up our powerplants *Shakes fist*"
Lifon: "I'm heading to Sweden next! Your delicious power shall be mine! Muahahaha"
(Group 1--Light, Kutask, Lag, and Yeria; sorry for the earlier mix-up)
Kutask's link up revealed the conflict between Jenoth and the other. I don't want your destiny. Destiny is destiny, I am not the chooser. The group of five could hear two distinctive voices. Then I reject it! You can't. Are you going to stop me, because then you are choosing my destiny. Leave me alone! One spoke in weakness, the other in certainty. Oddly, no entity seemed to be attached externally or internally. The two voices seemed to be one mind. Hm? They're here? The certain half noticed the other key-wielders. The other continued, My... friends...
Despite his feeling of pre-destined loss, Ignaz knew to attack Jenoth. No reason seemed to exist for such an endeavor, but attacking the possessed beast could not be the worst choice. Lag attained the same idea, except with some reason. If the enemy had control over Jenoth, then, should they beat Jenoth in a fight, that enemy may lose control. Even if not, the Dragon would soon attack again, especially since the seemingly real Jenoth was barely conscious.
Then mental connection especially progressed in Kutask's case. The previous connection between him and her still existed--despite her previous death. This time, however, the sliver saw a much larger mental creature. Jenoth no longer owned one simple mind, but her mind was filled with hundreds of them. Of those many, a single held control over all, and, now, Jenoth was becoming just another controlled creature. Were all of those other opponents the same as Jenoth? Then who was this overlord?
Light and Yeria received completely different senses. Light knew the typical, yet distinct peace; although, his worry for Jenoth still existed plenty. The ice prison worked for stopped Jenoth's movements for some time, but did that end the mental fighting? If somehow the five of them could end the conflict, then maybe Jenoth would have time to combat her opponent. While ice might not work alone, the mental contact openrf new avenues. Could the elements work on the mental level as well? Yeria took a more distasteful sensation. She saw through the evil--the wrong-doing--and then the good. Jenoth lost her life protecting another, yet her reward included lose of freedom and mind? Where was the justice? Jenoth may not have been perfect, but when did another wrong make anything better? Yeria's connection with Jenoth revealed clearly who was the true person and who was the fake--the enemy. Action would be good.
Well, now... Jenoth stood up confidently. I suppose I'll just take you as well! A shadow--not mere darkness, but evil--leapt across the mental connection. NO! Instantly, that shadow stopped and returned to Jenoth. Moments after that, one person seemed to fade from Jenoth's body. Fool. She can't stop destiny. A faint sparkle of Jenoth remained, and, sadly, even that began to deteriorate. Kutask noticed even more. The Overlord spread its control over Jenoth, and, soon enough, she would been enveloped in the superstructure of a mind. If she were completely consumed, Kutask knew he could not get her back--ever. Her mind would be lost, as her body was once already. She sacrificed herself again... she fought far beyond her end. Would this be the end of her?
(Group 2--Naum, Heinmir, and Gwen)
The combined attacks of Naum, Heinmir, and Gwen worked wonders, it seemed. Heinmir used Naum's heat well and pulled himself with ease out of the water. The experience definitely warned him of going back into the liquid. Unfortunately Gwen's first attack and Naum's bullet did not contact with the captain, for he blocked with a massive torrent of water. His control over the liquid was beyond superb and far exceeded Gwen or Naum's power of their own elements. Even so, the man could only do so much. Heinmir escaped and pierced the hull of the ship once more, and Gwen's primary air strike nailed the main gun. To her surprise, the strike cut the entire turret into pieces, and, at that, a couple of the shells exploded, demolishing a number of the AA guns and another of the main turrets. Finally, after the process massive destruction, the front part of the vessel began to take on water--even if little.
After blocking the attacks, the captain lowered his water wall and stepped forward. "Yeah, I have a basic idea of what you'll do." He angrily pointed to his ship's bow. As a follow up, the human covered his entire sea vessel with a thin sheet of water. The remaining Anti-air guns pointed towards Naum and Gwen, opening fire moments after. Hundreds of bullets volleyed, but, as Gwen realized, these bullets had become pure ice--sharp at that. Moreover, the element created the ice, so those shots would hurt--a lot. Even with Gwen's speed of wind, she could not dodge the bullets, and, without much speed at all, neither could Naum. Of course, dodging was not the only defense.
While Heinmir pulled himself to the ship, water plated the steel ship. During the process, the water consciously pulled Heinmir's lance off the side, thus dropping him back into the water. Instantly more decaying water grabbed him and tugged him below. Instead of holding him in place, the living liquid pulled him straight down. By the second, Naum's heat incredibly grew distant, so Heinmir lost his primary advantage. No sphere blocked his progress upward, but the water itself dragged him further below, failing to give a chance of freedom. Cutting water would not cause a release, but, then again, water was not physically the strongest foe.
Sometimes I wish I could lose everything, so I relate to those who have.
Ignaz enveloped his fist in flames and dashed forward as he began to do a barrage of punches and kicks. A kick to the head while doing a flip and some punches to the neck, a combo to the leg... That shadow looked like he was running up and down!
Lag was mumbling a rosary in while he focused on shielding his mind and Ignaz.
Kutask realizes who - or what - is the problem - and reacts by shielding the uncertain, flickering Jenoth with all his might. {MONSTER!} he roars mentally, the shield's outside becoming laced with hundreds of long, wicked spikes, which, in turn, broke into hundreds of spikes at the tip. These spikes would break further, until an entire field of razors covered the assaulting mind/s and protected Jenoth. With a mighty mental heave, the shield then spun, attempting to eviscerate this invisible enemy.
Give the PCs plenty of problems, but give them a free hand in how they try to solve them. Use "yes, and", or "yes, but," or "roll the dice." But try to avoid "No." -- The Wyzard, dispensing valuable DM advice
Yeria saw the one that was clearly jenoth and she pondered what she had to do to perhaps save jenoth. Maybe she could cut her out or shield her against the onslaught this monster was causing to her.
She began to probe with her powers for possible things that could help or assist the real jenoth. She first tested in shielding her with impenetrable darkness. or at least that would be the best description for it.
Yeria had in mind that nothing of that overlord would be able to pass trough it and maybe they could save jenoths psyche.
She was also probing the possibility to cut away the contacts between the swirling mass of souls by destroying their links to each other if that was possible.
She had to find a way to release jenoth from this injustice. Justice would be served some way or the other.
Yerias darkness shield and scalpel like blades had about the same intentions as kutask and she began to control it to help kutask's abilities by trying to fuse them if that was possible. or at least helping them with their task.
Heinmir cursed loudly before he hit the water and instantly got surrounded by the decayed water again. He saw how the ship got further and further away and felt Naum's energy slowly fade to nothing as the water dragged him downwards, away from the source and away from his friends.
He needed to escape from the water but he doubted that he could get up by using the last method, his weapon would just get thrown off by the water that surrounded the ship, so what could he do?
He was desperate, anything would suffice as long as it got him out of this mess. He yanked in the chain that was connected to his lance and pulled it to his waiting hand, the plan was crazy, but it might just work.
He summoned what strength he had left in his arm and threw the lance once again and used the power he could utilize in the water to further give his lance power, but this time he didn't aim for the ship. The lance flew out of the water and sailed over the ship, the chain seemed to become longer the further it sailed but when the lance hit the water on the other side Heinmir focused all of his magical power into it and turned the stone into a large block of steel, a block that was two men high and three men wide. The block acted like a counter weight and pulled Heinmir up towards the surface as the weight continued to sink faster than a rock. His chest burned with pain and lack of oxygen and as soon as his head got up above the surface he drew a deep breath and felt the burning pain ease lightly. He continued upwards, being pulled by the sinking weight and dragged his back towards the hull all the way up to the edge where he kicked off the hull and sailed over the edge before hitting the deck hard, water splashed in each direction when he hit the deck. He detached the chain from his arm and skid to a stop in the middle of the deck, panting rapidly while he tried to roll over and get himself up on his feet. The world spun around him and he felt weak. After a few seconds he managed to push himself on his feet, the world had stopped spinning and he felt strength returning to his limbs.
"You son of a Dreshnard! I'll kill you!" Heinmir shouted just as hundreds of arrows appeared above him for a short moment before suddenly flying towards him as if fired from a longbow. Though that was not all he had planned for the arrows were just a diversion for the real attack. He dashed forward and ran as fast as he could towards the captain while he summoned a large bow that looked like two swords attached to each other by the handle. He grabbed the thick string and pulled it back and as he did a black swirl appeared in the air between the bow and the string, the further he drew it the bigger the swirl got and the faster it moved.
He skid to a halt and released the string just as the other arrows were about to hit the man, the black swirl left the bow and seemed to pick up even more speed as it flew and hardened into a spear like shape. The others could feel thick air magic course around the spear, pushing it forward but they could also feel a dormant air spell just behind the flying spear, a compact air blast that would detonate as soon as the spear hit anything.
Gwen cursed and forced a sharp lance of air down into the deck, trying to punch a hole to drop down to the next level.
