Heinmir stood his ground and waited for the hounds to come closer, right into his trap that he had set. "Wrong move" Heinmir chuckled and launched his four spears who flew at an incredible speed towards the charging hounds. Sure they were fast but running that fast forward presented a problem for them now, dodging sideways. Which probably meant that they would jump unless they wanted to get skewed by two spears each. Heinmir remained in his defensive pose, waiting to see what they would do and just how the witch would help him. (group 1) Edited by Altein, Sep 3 2010, 06:39 AM.

Yeria was enclosed in a sphere of solid darkness it seemed. She could still see trough the pitch black walls and she launched a few spears of the darkness against the skeleton below her. She hoped it would work. The sphere was created thanks to a will to protect herself. (3) |

(Group 2) The bird turned around and flapped its wings, causing a burst of air to fly at Naum. The burst blew the fire out and sent Naum several feets, disorienting her further. Before she could recover, a sphere of wind formed around Naum, cutting at every hit. If matters weren't bad enough, the bird was speeding at Naum. "That's big talk, fox," The lizard responded to Lag's insult. The fire spirits continued to launch fireballs at Lag, but, now, they moved closer. A flaming cage appeared around Lag, locking him in with fire spirits. The temperature began to rise. ~~~~~ (Group 3) Yeria's spears directly hit the skeleton, but she caused no damage. The spears deflected off the bone. The being continued to move in. Light managed to stop the ice and make a sword out of some of it. However, the remaining spheres of ice broke open, sending dozens of icy needles at Light and Yeria. Yeria's barrier dissolved those needles, but Light had not the time to stop them. He was hit with dozens of the needles each piercing lightly into his skin. They caused more pain than damage. "What am I trying to do?" The water creature questioned. "Well, if I told you, then you would have no reason to seek answers. Seek and you shall find... don't and you'll end up dead." The blood began to spiral below them, where that skeletal monster was. Suddenly, the spiral shot the skeleton in between Light and Yeria. One hand grabbed at Yeria and Light each. The hand after Yeria melted on contact with the barrier, but Light had only that sword to protect himself with. ~~~~~ (Group 1) Both of the hounds jumped, as Heinmir expected. However, their leap lasted long enough to bring them right down on Heinmir and Gwen. This should not have been possible, as to what Heinmir remember the monster's abilities to be. Nonetheless, each tried to bite at their opponents on a shoulders. To Kutask's dismay, the reaper had no legs. The entire body was covered in a cloak. If it owned legs, no person could tell. Kutask ended hitting the lower portion of the reaper's body. Instantly, the reaper spun around and scooped Kutask up with his remaining hand. Without any waiting, the reaper began to squeeze Kutask. It was going to crush Kutask. "No!" Jenoth shot into the air and rushed at the reaper. Instantaneously, the monster dropped Kutask, turned around, and caught Jenoth. What's more, the second hand grew back. With its regrow hand, the reaper grabbed one of Jenoth's wings and tore it clean off. Jen shrieked in pain. Even Heinmir and Gwen heard the scream. |

They are much worse than I remembered them to be! Heinmir cursed as he crashed onto his back with the hound on top of him, losing his grip on the shield that was sent spinning on the dome. With a sickening crunch his left shoulder was suddenly screaming in agonizing pain but it was quickly quelled thanks to the power in the key. "YOU BEAST!" He yelled and slammed his left fist onto the dome and from nowhere four lances appeared around the monster, already flying at full speed towards it an because it was chewing on his shoulder it wouldn't have the time to dodge this attack. Lag looked at the fire spirits. He created a circular wind barrier, surrounding him. He looked at the lizard and merely replied. "You know what you need to create fire?" Lag said as he pointed his staff to the spirits. "They need... air!" He said as he conjured a tornado, sucking out all of the air out and creating an airless void. "I do hope this works..." Lag whispered. Group 2 Edited by Dendyn, Sep 9 2010, 10:57 PM.

(Group 3) To Light's own surprise, the sword sliced clean through the bone. However, the damage was not enough to cause the monster to let go. Furthermore, as Yeria reached the skeletal creature, a powerful shockwave in the blood flung her into the wall. The shark creature quickly move over to Yeria, and, before she could get away, the monster blew a powerful torrent of water at Yeria, pressing her hard against the wall. "You think you'll get away with it, that easy?" The water monster questioned. Meanwhile, the hand holding Light began to crush him, and, thanks to the hold on him, he could not move his sword for another attack. Something drastic was required. ~~~~~ (Group 2) The tornado quickly sucked up the air and blew out the spirits. However, Lag also found himself out of air. Unlike some other key-wielder, he did not own an internal supply of oxygen. To Naum's dismay, the fireball left the sphere with nothing stopping it. Naum could have exited the sphere without a problem; regardless, she had sustained moderate cuts from the wind attack. Her blood leaked from the wounds. Interestingly, the blood that came into contact with the flames, burst into fire. Fortunately, only the blood outside of her body seemed to burn. Naum had little time to mull over her blood, for the bird rammed directly into Naum's fire shield. The wind sphere vanished and the fire shield shattered into Naum. The bird, on the other hand, bounched off the shield and squaked in pain. Immediately, Naum realized the bird was fragile. He had speed but not durability. ~~~~~ (Group 1) The monster on top of Heinmir burst into a shadowy substance before fading away. The wound on Heinmir's shoulder started to sting intensely... there was poison on those teeth. As for the other... a burst of wind blew from behind the beast, causing it to fly over Gwen's head. It landed behind her and quickly attempted to bite at her ankle; although, she had quite a bit of time to react. In the meantime, Kutask and Jenoth had their own fight. Kutask's attempts at connection fail initially, but her mind is within reach. He just need to keep trying... now, if only he had the time. The reaper threw Jenoth into the wall for a third time. The wall fractured on impact, showing the case of immense force. As if not bad enough, the reaper held up his hands and created a dark lighting bolt. It shot the bolt directly into Jenoth, impailing her into the wall. Black sparks traveled across her body, hurting even more. "Now then..." The monster turned to Kutask. "Your turn." He created two more of those bolts and shot them at Kutask. The sliver had little time to dodge, let alone connect with Jenoth. |

(3) Light let out a surprised choke as he began being crushed. He looked down at the water he was still half-submerged in. Yeria tried to work against the current but wasn't really strong enough so she explored her mind desperatly for actions she could do. She charged up a large electric attack but the lightning was also surrounded by the same shadows like she was at the moment. She charged for a while before sending out a large bolt of shadowy lightning at the shark creature. The blood the lightning touched seemed to disappear. (3) |

"Poison...you fight dirty" Heinmir murmured as he got up to his feet. He summoned a small silver knife into his hand and drove it into his wound. Blood flowed in a strong stream , drawing the blood with it rather than letting it pass through his body. He bent down and scooped up his dropped lance, taking note just how far the shield had spun, leaving him only with the option to discard it for now. "I know how to fight dirty as well, prepare yourself!" he bellowed and took off in a sprint towards the original hound. On the way there he summoned a large number of hawk hatchets, a type of sickle that had two blades, one on each end of the handle pointing in opposite directions. they hovered around him like a protective shell, spinning around in circles, each hatchet becoming a circle of sharp edges easily able to cut down to the bone on a man. The hatchets are normally used as throwing weapons, but I think that I just found another use for them, prepare to get sliced fiend! Heinmir thought as he readied his lance, pointing it at the monster in case his shield of hatchets wouldn't cut it. (group 1) |

(Group 2) The bird cried in pain, struggling to get out of the shield. As a last ditch effort, the bird send a powerful shockwave at Naum, causing the air to shake violently. Pain resounded through Naum's ears, and, if not bad enough, the shaking moved Naum in multiple, rapidly-changing directions at the same time. She would need a large amount of focus to hold the shield around the bird. "I can't win? Is that so?" The lizard questioned calmly. For once, the lizard moved towards. Lag could see that the creature's tail was glowing deep red. Steam floated off of it, in fact. Two more spirits appeared directly behind Lag and bit into each of his arms, causing a seering pain. ~~~~~ (Group 1) The hound closer to Gwen was sent flying--quite lierally. In fact, the attack sent him so far, that Gwen could not see him anymore. On the other hand, Gwen's attack on the main monster failed utterly. A few feet in front of Gwen, her burst of wind stopped. In fact, as Heinmir's whirlwind of sickles drew near to the monster, they also stopped. Even if Heinmir moved, his weapons were stuck... almost as if by stasis. "You've improved." A voice from behind Heinmir and Gwen states. It was the same harpy which Gwen fought earlier. "Two versus one is not a very fair fight, now is it?" The dog questioned rhetorically. With little waiting, the harpy slide its hand across the floor, sending a large line of electricity at Heinmir. At the same time, the other rushed around Heinmir's "frozen" weaponry and rushed Gwen. A bright light originating from the dog blinded Gwen and Heinmir... while the rest of the area suddenly grew darker. The interior of the dome remained unaffected. Who said anything about giving up! She yelled, trying to fight her immense pain. She growled and grabned the bolt, trying to pull it out. Despite charring her hands terribly, the removed the bolt and released herself from the wall. However, she couldn't hold out much longer... her body was shaking--for such a big, heavy person, that's saying something. The reaper focused on Kutask, throwing more bolts... all avoidable. However, Kutask noted his energy being drained from him. His lack of sustanance for at least a day weakened him enough, but every time those bolts flew past him, they drew more energy from him. ~~~~~ (Group 3) Because the water creature was distracted with Yeria, Light owned full control of the blood and water around him. He quickly pushed passed of the surface of the pool; however, the hand stretched to keep a hold on Light. The grip loosened slightly, but, unless Light did something fast, it would tighten again. As Light considered his next move, he could hear the sound of a heart beat pulsing through the monster's bones. Maybe a weakness. The water creature moved to the side of Yeria's attack; nevertheless, its arm was grazed by the attacked. The sound of tearing echoed under the water, as the better part of the creature's arm disappeared. The monster gave no sounds of pain, but grimaced clearly. The torrent of water against Yeria ceased. Naum barely managed to hold the sheild around the bird, and managing to intensify it a little, as she kept her eyes on the burning bird. (Group I) Kutask thinks for a split second and dodges backwards this time, wondering if that makes a difference...or if it's mere proximity. Meanwhile, Jenoth feels a surge of some liquid covering her wounds, slowly repairing them...if she is familiar with lymph nodes, the natural organs that secrete healing chemicals, she would have an idea of what's happening. Kutask, as well, feels a surge of strength from connecting to Jenoth. It's not much - certainly not enough to make a damage difference against this monster - but it lets him move a bit quicker, with more muscle output. Edited by Machaeus, Sep 13 2010, 08:32 PM.

"What the?" Was all Heinmir managed to say before he was blinded by the strange light that the hound had released. But before he was blinded he had gotten a good long look at the bird and knew that a surge of lightning was rushing against him, he could feel the lighting bolt run on the dome roof. Quick to act Heinmir summoned a metal rod which he slammed down on the dome, absorbing the lightning bolt and rendering it harmless. "So a harpy has joined us and seeks to eat our flesh?" Heinmir murmured as he regained a small portion of his sight. He could see the outlines of the harpy despite the darkness for it didn't effect him. Slowly he lifted a hand to the sky, summoning a large mass of arrows hovering above his head. "FIRE!" He yelled and brought his hand down in a swift motion, causing every single arrow to fly towards the harpy as if fired from a bow. The harpy noticed something particular about the design on these arrowheads, the heads resembled a drill more than the standard triangular shape normally used. The weird design caused the arrows to spin rapidly in the air, gaining a little speed along the way by forcing the find to push them forward. a Simple wind blast would not be sufficient to knock all of these arrows out of the way and they were far to many to dodge in either direction. Gwen cursed and took off into the air. As soon as she wasn't blinded by the light anymore she landed on the dome and started casting something. (1) |

"When you surf with sharks you may not get bitten... but don't act like it was an unforeseen tragedy when you do." Interpretation may be the father of all beliefs, but Assumption is the mother of all fuckups. I should know, I'm a prime example... "In life we get to pick our poisons, may as well pick the fun one." "The mechanic of the sequence; the power to progress, We have no time to waste; no time to relax, The passion of beginning; it's the pleasure of the end, It's watching things we initiate to a state we never meant." ~chorus from Mechanic of the Sequence by Neuroticfish. | |

(Group 1) The harpy charged electricity in its hand, while the arrows raced at it. At the right timing, the creature spun itself around 360 degrees, bringing the electrical charge down on the drilling arrows. The attack, acting almost as a shield, knocked away the majority of Heinmir's weapons. The rest simply missed. Immediately after, the harpy brought the shock down upon the ground, sending it zooming at Heinmir, but, unlike last time, the attack split and avoided Heinmir. Instead, it created a large electric circle around the keywielder. The hairs on the back of Heinmir's neck raised. When Gwen landed, she found herself in a shroud of darkness. Everything was pitch black. "How about that, an a opponent that doesn't have the same abilties as I." The dog beast spoke from Heinmir's side... but she heard several sets of foot prints. Suddenly, whirling sounds launched at her from all horizontal directions. Jenoth noticed the soothing sensation on her injuries. "What... in the..." She muttered. While Kutask pranced around the reaper, Jenoth took a moment of rest. After that ordeal, she needed it. Kutask... keep him distracted. The reaper didn't seem to pay much attention to Jenoth; however, it changed its tactics. While Kutask was scurrying around, a black wall formed in front of him. He owned not the time to stop, so he ended up smashing right into it. He bounced off, but received painful burns and lost much of his remaining energy. Even the additional strength he gained from Jen would not help him. By now, the monster was gliding over to Kutask, carrying a mysterious new scythe--made entirely of black energy. ~~~~~ (Group 2) As Naum held tightly with her sheild, the bird began to light on fire. Two seconds and the entire bird was aflame. Another two seconds and the bird blew away into ash. Naum had won. After a long tiring battle, she won. Though, nothing out of the ordinary happened after that... Lag was still fighting that Lizard. Maybe the battle wasn't won afterall... As Lag's tornado grew in strength, the fire spirits blew away. The Lizard drew near the tornado. Careless? Eventually, the force tornado began to drag the Lizard in. As soon as the creature was in range, it flipped itself over and brought its tail directly upon the tornado. Instantly, the tornado was dispelled. A massive heat wave rushed into Lag. With those bleeding wounds, the heat proved to be tremendously painful. He quickly realized that the lizard had used the force of Lag's own tornado to project the attack... but that didn't help Lag now, for his entire body was burned. ~~~~~ (Group 3) Yeria's attack hit the water beast directly. In flash, the water beast was gone--destroyed, simply obliterated. That left only the skeletal monster. Before Yeria could move, the wall had noticably latched onto her. Just as the hope of victory gleamed, it sank away into nothingness. The wall ate her whole. Blackness consumed her surroundings... no. She could see through the darkness, but there was nothing to see. Emptiness. Meanwhile, Light still struggled with the other creature. Light's pressure quickly shattered the arm. The hand released Light, and both plummeted into the... blood. Except there was none. Light found only a massive gulley below him. Those spikes at the bottom had also vanished. Even so, the keywielded needed to act quickly, for he could not survive such a drop. |

"Lightning again huh? it doesn't work that way" Heinmir murmured and held a hand outstretched towards the harpy, reaching out to the electricity with his mind. He gathered the electricity up into his hands without getting hurt or discomforted by it. "Taste your own attack filthy beast!" Heinmir roared and threw the electricity like a spear, which jsut happened to take that shape, a spear made out of lightning. As a back up he also summoned a small iron rod in case she would send another bolt racing at him. (group 1) |
