T-Boz tried to talk to me!

Just found this while doing some Amazon searches:

http://www.amazon.com/Door-into-Darkness-I...00790323&sr=1-1

Door Into Darkness, I believe that is the 4 part Argento tv series of hour long episodes from 1973. Dario directed one episode, directed re-shoots for another episode, and wrote at least one of the others. Other directors who were involved in this were Luigi Cozzi, Mario Foglietti, and Roberto Pariante.

Definitely looking forward to adding this to my collection. Now all we need is Four Flies on Grey Velvet and an uncut version of Sleepless on DVD.

I just put in my pre-order for this one! I think there was another Argento-produced (and in some cases directed) T.V. show in which a studio audience had to guess the ending of a short (10 min.) giallo. I saw this recently in one of the Dario filmographies, and if I can find the link, I'll post it. In the meantime, there's a Goblin Myspace site that has a lot of good stuff, including many downloads for not a lot of money($.99 each) at http://www.myspace.com/backtothegoblin (edit) Oh, and here's a cool pic of Goblin w/ Dario from the Tenebre soundtrack CDPosted Image

What I also heard was the episode, Il Tram was built around a scene that Dario couldn't include in Bird in the Crystal Plumage. Definitely looking forward to this.

I think I've heard of the same show, but oddly enough it doesn't appear to be convered in Profondo Argento. I'm going to take a wild guess and assume that it's the same tv show as Door into Darkness.

There's also one more Argento film that hasn't gotten a release over here, his Western, Five Days in Milan. I think it's been ignored by a lot of people and even Argento him self, becuase it's not supposed to be as stylish as his other movies. Still I wouldn't mind seeing it.

And thanks for the Myspace link. That's the Claudio Simonetti-less Goblin, but still pretty good. Kinda says something about human nature that almost every other band in any genre has to break up because they can't get along.

From what I gather, that's not the first time Simonetti left the band. Supposedly, he quit after Deep Red for a time, only to rejoin shortly before Suspiria. I guess he has his own thing going with Daemonia and assorted film scores. He also seems to be a little egocentric, judging from some of his interveiws...(edit) !!!WARNING!!! the images in this link are NWSF!- No one under 17 admitted without parent or legal guardian! :holyshit: (sorry, Odd! ) http://community.livejournal.com/film_stills/795758.html

I was reading Claudio's discog page and well, I have more Claudio sitting around my MP3 collection then I thought.

I think I knew he did/was Kasso's "Walkman" and I have that but the Crazy Gang thing caught me off guard.

The one song I have has this kinda creepy vibe going on so it's not entirely a surprise.

Not sure if I have the Vivian Vee track. I think I do.

I can post them if anyone wants, just be warned that they aren't really horror soundtrack stuff and tread far closer to disco.

Maybe they could perhaps have Goblin score an Argento movie without Claudio, although it obviously seems Claudio and Dario are closer pals.

I still want to get that Daemonia CD, I just wish some company would be smart enough to release more of these records in the US.

This link may be of some help, at least as far as one of them. I't a download - but CHEEP! I'm still looking around for Sleepless, although some of the reveiws have been less than kind. http://www.cosmichex.com/detail.php?f=81 (edit) I almost forgot- this site does have it on disc, but I have no clue as to quality. http://www.revengeismydestiny.com/Giallos.html

I'm kinda waiting for Blue Underground to pick up the license and give it the kinda release it deserves like they did for Stendhal Syndrome. Amazon reviewers didn't seem to like it, but they didn't like the Card Player either. I enjoyed that one, and the consensus among Argento fans is that it's a better movie than the Card Player. It also has one-time reunited Goblin doing the score, so that's another thing going for it. I just need a version that has the gore and is released by a real company, and I will buy it.

The list of giallos for sale on that site was pretty ineresting. The only movie other than Flies I have heard of was The Lady in Red Kills Seven Times.
