I came upon this on AOL a few months ago (eventually I saved it) and I know certainly will be an interesting topic. :D These are classic commercial streamlink videos from 1970s, 80s and 90s ads, some of them I remember watching on daytime TV when I was growing up.

These memorable 30-second ads include the original slinky song "it's slinky, it's slinky", the Wendy's landmark slogan "where's the beef?" and the Taco Bell chihuahua ("yo quiero taco bell"). Check it out and you won't want to miss this, dudes. :beach:

By the looks of company ads for Geico and Aflac, these people must hired the best commercial producers around. Poor Aflac duck: he never gets noticed and tries so hard to alert potential customers on...AFLAC! I liked the Burger King TV ad from a few years ago, the advertising panel board can't figure out what to sell...but the boss insists everyone: "remember, there are no bad ideas". :geek:

I remember one from the 90's. IIt was a yellow pages add about a lady called Jan. I think Jan tries to get out of work and the lady yells out the window "I'm not happy Jan!". I was only really young in the 90's but I remember this ad so well because Jan is one of my relatives names.

Anyone in their 20's remember the 1980s and 90s McDonald's commercials on youtube a few months ago with Ronald McDonald? I can remember the jingles ringing in my head: "It's a good time, for a great taste..." or "good time, great taste...this is our place."

I remember the early 90s Bugle Boy jeans ads when a woman in her coupe pulls by a desert road, she finds a handsome young male hitchhiker: "Are you wearing Bugle Boy jeans?" she asks, "No" he replies, and she said "I can't take your ride".

And one more: "Bo knows" by Nike when Bo Jackson was the most famous athlete in the world: Bo was a multi-talented athlete, I mean he's in baseball, football, track and field, you name it. All of a sudden he disappears in the limelight and now he does a sports radio show..."Bo knows radio"..."just do it".

Oh No! our children are watching "improper, inappropriate, disturbing" things on TV! Talkin' toilets isn't for young kids. (sarcasm) :lmao: :roflmao: Quick! turn off the "idiot box" and teach them how bad or dirty talkin' toilet jokes are. Parents may wanna instruct or remind their kids the concept of morality, etiquette and decency....but to what point they can't take a joke? I saw that commercial of talkin' toilets back in the early 90s and definitely thought it was f-----g hilarious.

A series of commercials produced by Kellogg's "Raisin Bran" is the stubborn employee who won't just quit. The first time, his boss whines about his lagging performance...and the employee just chews his cereal blocking out what's he saying. The 2nd time, another warning by his boss, the 3rd time, he's fired but he kept on eating...then came the 4th time, the company CEO liked his "persistence" to promote him boss! MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH your way to corporate success! Right on!

Thanks to my MASSIVE Earthbound kick, the original ad for the NES version:

[dohtml]<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/oWPoLPNZ8SA&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/oWPoLPNZ8SA&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>[/dohtml]

Advertising a game without gameplay footage? Balls. Sheer balls.

Tril, you brought me back memories of the NES (aaahhhh)...I recall the TV ads for Turbografx16, Sega 32x, Atari Jaguar and other failed video game consules on the market. My Mom and bro played "Earthbound" with the aliens, the fast delivery service, talkin easter Island heads and the retro-disco music during battles with strange lookin villians.

Another classic commercial (circa 1987) was the Micro Machines with the rapid-talking spokesman appeared in other ads like Fed-ex (Federal Express), and he talks really fast! "micromachinesareabigbigBIGtoyanditsnottherealthing!" (oops...got carried away), but imagine a life you're paid to narrate TV ads. ($kaching$)
