| 1. General rules a) By registering an account in the Sun Shrine Forums you agree to abide by the rules below. If you disagree to follow any of them contact the Administrator or create a thread in the Contact the team forum so we can understand your point of view. b) Matters of xenophobia, racism, pornography and online piracy may be discussed but not perpetrated: any kind of erotic images or videos (or links to such images or videos/sites containing those images or videos) will be deleted without warning. Same for links or encouragements to xenophobia and online piracy such as illegal downloads. c) The official language for the Sun Shrine Forums is English, and therefore you may not post in other languages nor chatspeak. Your username, signature, what you write in Personal Messages is entirely up to you, but you cannot post in other languages. After all, we want everyone to understand what you're saying ![]() 2. Participating a) While we don't advise you to do so, as you register, you can adopt a posting format to stick to (write in a different color or font, for example) all we ask you is to stick to it and don't change it so the best would be not to format your text. b) External links are limited to affiliates of the main site, YouTube, search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc.), social sites (Orkut, MySpace, Hi5, etc.) and art sites (DeviantArt, etc.) Anything that doesn't fit in those categories will be considered advertising and should not be posted. 2.1 Posting a) Post constructively. If your post is strictly a non-constructive insult to someone or something, or just plain useless don't post it or improve it before you do. SPAM (Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages), trolling and flamming are examples of non-constructive posts. b) Don't multi-post. If you've forgotten something and want to add it to your previous post use the button.c) Don't abuse smiles or images. If they can be replaced by text by all means do so, for people with slow internet connections it's hard to navigate in a page that has 20 emoticons in each post. 2.2 Creating a thread a) Make sure you search the forums to check if similar topics have already been created and decide if it's still worth it to create the thread you were thinking of. b) Place it in the correct forum. The name and description of each forum should show you what to post in it, but if you still have doubts don't be afraid to ask. c) Choose the title that summarizes the topic in discussion. A title that reads "One question..." is very vague and is not going to tell the reader what the thread is about. Something like "Which do you prefer?" will be better, but the ideal would be "Pinsir or Scyther?": going straight to the point. 3. Avatar and signature 3.1 Avatar a) Your avatar may not exceed 130 x 130 pixels and 27 KB in size. b) Your avatar may not contain anything that goes against the general rules. c) You may advertise in your avatar by text. 3.2 Signature a) The total of all the images in your signature may not exceed 500 px in width and 250 px in height and 125 KB in size. ![]() b) Aside from the images your signature may not contain more than 4 lines of text. c) You may advertise in your signature as long as you abide by the above rules. 4. Usernames a) Your username may not contain slang or cursing, website links or site/company names. b) Your username may not be an attempt to look like someone else's username, on purpose or not (i.e. Squa11) 5. What will cause a ban? Disregarding the above rules will probably cause your warning level to be raised, but what will be so serious that will get you banned?
