Clan Statement

The Sacred Legion is a RuneScape warring clan. This means that we put an emphasis on warring, that is we'll try to have some sort of war regularly (full wars, mini-wars, fun wars, capped wars). We also do PK-ing events and Skill events but those will generally not be mandatory events and are more thought as for fun. There will be mandatory events which means that you must come if you are online. To enforce activity we monitor event attendance and activity on the forums. We strive to have a great community. Thus we emphasize that our members are mature, honourable, respectable, loyal and show integrity. Finally our main time-zone is EST (GMT - 5) but we strive to have events at decents times for GMT too. People from other timezones are welcome to join us but they have to make sure they can attend some events in those timezones.

General Rules

1. The clan is based on a three strike system. If you break any of the clan rules then anyone among the clan staff can give you a strike(s) depending on the severity of your offense. If you or any other clan member disagrees with the strike then the case should go to Chief Justice who along with the Otokage decide whether you should be punished and how hard. If you receive no strikes for a whole year then one strike can be removed from you because of good behavior. Note that all strikes mentioned in the rules should only work as guidelines, the strikes can be increased or decreased based on the severity of the offense.

2. If you ever have a problem with another member then do not take it to the forums. All problems should go through the clan staff. If you take matters into your own hands, for example by posting about the problems, flaming the people involved or anything of that nature then you can receive a strike, even if you are originally the victim.

3. Flaming will not be tolerated in this clan. If you flame another member you receive 1 to 3 strikes based on the severity of the flame. Flaming contains among other things rude, hateful and derogatory remarks. Note that flaming is against the rules even if some other person started it.

4. Do not make fun of others peoples religion, countries, race, sex, sexual orientation, heritage or anything of that sort. This offense can lead to anything between 1 and 3 strikes based on the severity of the racial slurs.

5. You can only be a member of this clan. This means that your character is in no other clan, so country clans for example are not allowed. Moreover you should not have any noobs or pures in other clans. Exceptions are very rare but can be granted by the Otokage.

6. Scamming, hacking, luring or anything of that sort is prohibited. Strikes will be decided by staff. If scammers want any chance of ever getting back into the clan then they must return all valuables to those that they scammed.

7. Never kill a fellow clan member unless you have agreed to a fight. Always take screenshots when you agree on a fight with a fellow clan member to be able to present evidence in the case of a misunderstanding.

8. If you ever lend other clan members money or items then we strongly recommend that you only lend as much as you can lose. A good idea is for example to take collateral. There are so many people online that pick pixels over friend that it is impossible for clan leadership to see through all the bad people so we take no responsibility if you get scammed by another clan member. The safest thing to do is to not lend anyone anything.

9. If you have served the clan for at least a whole year and then you want to take time off from RS then you can apply for the Retired rank. If you are in that rank then you may not gain any signifcant amount of EXP in RS. If you break that rule then you'll be kicked. Retired members are occasionally removed so if you want to keep the rank then you must log into the forum once in a while and preferably participate in wars or other clan events once in a while.

10. The clan rules are not to be read as something that can never be changed. The rules describe a perfect world and thus need interpretation and adjustment to the real world. Thus the Otokage and his closest staff can override these rules at any time. The Otokage always has the last word and can veto or decide anything he wants.

Wilderness Rules

F2P Rules

1. Always wear black capes. Only use the F2P version of the cape so don't wear skill capes that are somewhat black or any other P2P versions of a black cape. Clan staff are sometimes allowed to wear such capes in the wilderness to stand better out of the crowd but that is only allowed on case by case basis. Capes can be changed ONLY if the event states it.

2. Attacking TSL members is not allowed unless specifically allowed by the staff (for example during a training event). This includes that you can not bind people for fun, hit them for fun or hit them back if they accidentally hit you. If you are accidentally attacked and the attacker does not stop then screenie it and log out or run to Edgeville.

3. When a staff member calls an order in wildy then you must comply with it as fast as reasonably possible. This means for example that if a staff member calls a fall in then you must fall in immediately and not muck around.

4. No talking in wildy. Both the Clan Chat and Public Chat should be completely clear when we enter the wildy. This is to help the staff call out orders and make us more organized in wildy. If you need to talk or contact a staff member then use private chat or IRC. If neither contact option is available then you simply have to deal with the fact that you can't talk.

5. Do not run ahead of the person leading the PK trip. You do not scout on your main characters. You may scout on low level characters unless the leader of the trip says otherwise. If you scout then you must be in IRC too or have some other form of communication with the clan.

6. Do not chase runners in a big fight. If people run one mini-map away from the main fight then stop following them, return to the main fray and help your clan mates there.

7. Do not fight in single, that is DM, on a PK trip unless it is explicitly allowed by the trip leader. You can DM in your free time.

8. Do not beg for shares on a PK trip. If people want to share with you then it is great but do not expect it. In todays clan world it is rare that people get shares and even rarer that people make money from big PK's with clans. Thus be ready to lose some money on PK-ing.

9. Always come prepared to events and have the proper gear ready. TSL only enters the wildy in the best gear possible except perhaps on certain fun events so this means that you must have at least a full rune set ready. If you are unsure on what to bring then you'll see guides on that when you are accepted.

10. Never run from a fight with the clan. You must fight to death unless staff members call a retreat.

11. Tele runes are not allowed in wildy unless you are obviously skilling.

12. Never X out in wildy from a fight.

13. No luring.

14. Don't pile jump a Death Match (DM).

15. Don't run from a DM or otherwise cheat in a DM.

16. Do not flame your opponent or other enemies in the wilderness. If you have a grudge against someone then deal with it by simply killing him. Flaming gets you nowhere and simply gives TSL a bad name.

17. Finally then TSL strives to be a honour clan as defined by the clan world at each time. If you do any acts that are considered No Honour (NH) at that time then the staff reserves the right to punish you for those acts even if they are not explicitly mentioned in these rules.

P2P Rules

1. No luring.

2. No RC pk-ing.

3. Try to follow whatever honour code the clan community has agreed on.

War Rules

1. Clan staff decides on rules with our enemies when we war. You must at all times abide those rules, else you'll be kicked. For example if we fight a non-returning war then you'll be kicked if you return.

AC Rules

1. When we Anti Crash (AC) or Death Dot (DD) then you must stay fallen in on the leading staff member except when he/she tells you to attack someone. This means that you can not run into the battle on your own, you can not attack others on your own and you can last but not least loot.

Activity Rules

1. Attendance points are given for certain events. Generally they are only given for events that council members or higher ranks host (ie Major Events). Staff can though upgrade member events into giving attendance points. Staff decides how many attendance points each event gives but here is the general rule for how many attendance points each event gives:

Official War - 8 points
Mini-war with more than 12 hours prep time - 6 points
Mini-war with less than 12 hours prep time - 4 points
Funwar - 4 points

Official F2P PK trip - 5 points
Official P2P PK trip - 4 points
Unofficial F2P PK trip - 2 points
Unofficial P2P PK trip - 1 point

Official skilling event - 5 points

2. Some events are mandatory. This means that if you are online during the event then you must attend. If you are caught going PM off or hiding to skip the event then that will result in a strike. Staff can make any event mandatory. Here is the list of events that are by default mandatory:

Official War
Mini-war (no matter the preparation time)
Funwar

3. You must reach at least 20% of the total attendance points every month. Additionally you must get on the forum and post at least every other day (so for example you should have at least 16 posts each month). Posting should not be considered "make one post a day and i am done", it should be about communicating and contributing to the clan.

4. Exceptions can be made from rule 3 for example if you post about potential inactivities that might for example be caused by holidays or some other legit reasons. Other exceptions are also possible and will be dealt with on case by case basis by the staff.

5. If you fail to meet the requirements mentioned in paragraph 3 and you are not excused by some exceptions as mentioned in paragraph 4 then you'll be voted on by the staff. Either you'll be kicked because of inactivity or given one chance. It is possible if you are given a chance that you'll also be lowered by one rank. If you are given a chance and again fail to reach the requirements then you'll be kicked.

Quitting Rules

1. When you post a quitting post then you'll be given about 24 hours to reconsider unless staff deems it very important to remove you immediately from the clan (for example if you've already been accepted into another clan before the 24 hours are up etc).

2. When you quit then you lose all ranks and such and you must start from scratch if you rejoin. Staff can give exemptions from this rule if a member quits the clan but does not join another one and then returns.

3. At least a month must pass from your quitting post before you can be accepted back into the clan if you re-apply.

4. All returning members are voted on by the council and the clan leader. Thus it is not guaranteed that you'll be allowed to return. Staff can allow members to return on a one strike rule.
