![]() Issue IV, March 28,2013 Commentary: TRR Elections Underway THE REJECTED REALMS --- Voting is underway to elect The Rejected Realms' next WA Delegate. The candidates, of course, are Abbey Anumia and Frattastan. Before any criticism of these candidates is explored, it should be noted that The Rejected Times echoes the outbound Delegate's words that these candidates have worked hard to surmount a credible political campaign and otherwise have both contributed a lot to The Rejected Realms. We couldn't agree more! Both of these candidates are fine individuals and The Rejected Times expects a close finish for the victorious candidate. Currently, Frattastan has taken an early lead, but the polls are still open and that result could change with any hour. A cynic might observe the creeping ambiguity of political campaigns from elsewhere in NationStates to The Rejected Realms. It was only a few years ago that candidates like Sedgistan and Guy would run on detailed political campaigns with serious substance; elections in the Halls of the Rejected would be decided on crucial electoral issues. For example, the infamous Sedgistan v. Guy v. JAL debate was fought on the hot topic of Military Reform; but the truth is no one wants to talk about such a tough and fundamental debate as Military Reform - it has parallels to the Abortion debate in American politics. When substance is low in political campaigns, of course, one of the deciding factors of elections is leader perception and essentially the voter's fundamental association with the candidate. Using The Gameplay Alignment Test, data suggests that the aggregated military alignment of Frattastan voters is -5.9, whereas Abbey Anumia's aggregate voter base is recorded currently at 4.3. As more votes pile in, these alignment values are expected to moderate - but the fundamental principle, that this election (like most elections in Gameplay) is split down the old political lines of raiderists and defenderists, remains salient. However, there have been some "swing" voters have supported candidates on the ballot that in theory they wouldn't have been expected to support. We could discuss the minute differences between the candidate's platforms (provided below), but the reality is: there isn't a lot of differences between what each of them are telling us they will achieve. Some "personal touches" include Frattastan suggesting The Rejected Realms' culture could be more of a "counter-culture" with an "anti-establishment" spin, Abbey proposing a "grassroots" campaign to combat inactivity, Frattastan's assertion that he would not support SC Resolutions that endorse Regional Destruction or Abbey's more detailed explanation of how she will invigorate our current Foreign Affairs regime (really a 'bread and butter' plan: more frequent updates, more attention for allies specifically). But beyond that we have "cookie-cutter" political platforms from both candidates and this isn't a testament to simply these two individuals, but a testament to the serious fundamental division among voters on how to tackle the difficult issues - no smart politician wants to be caught challenging the delicate status quo that has been achieved over the past two years when they could let their opponent go first and capitalize on the unwise move. I think you can find many of these "cookie-cutter" platforms popping up all over the place recently in feeder and sinker governments, specifically because many of these regions have arrived at the same standstill in their political trajectory with the same people having set the groundwork for their future development and direction. ![]() What is a "cookie-cutter" political platform, might you ask? It's a political platform that usually focuses on "Culture" as the main focus - but rarely are any actual plans discussed; it's just an area of government that we all agree is important when election time comes around, but post-election, Culture is always the most neglected area of government and sadly receives the least amount of resources to fulfill its objectives (even though it is the most demanding area of government). Then the platform will discuss foreign affairs by essentially promoting (or "strengthening") the status quo and a mixed strategy of being both "the outgoing popular kid" and "the grumpy isolationist" simultaneously. Then there's usually a discussion on WA Voting - where the candidate agrees to stack votes for more influence (a no-brainer - almost everyone agrees on this, but few have the time and commitment) and vote how the people want the delegate to vote (subverted in recent TNP votes where there is a sizeable hard-nosed demographic that desires a more autocratic voting system just to frustrate the hell out of the vocal suffragists probably). But beneath the nebulousness of the cookie-cutter, what are some tough issues we should be considering here? What should our candidates be providing some substantive proposals for? Issue: Chronic Deficit of Activity If one spares the white-wash for a moment, it's no secret that if inactivity was poverty, The Rejected Realms would akin to Uganda or the Congo - systemic and chronic inactivity has been plaguing our region for almost a year now, if more. Isn't it a little scary that the region is in such bad shape and neither candidate really addressed this as being a major problem? With The Rejected Realms affected by such gross inactivity, candidates should be preparing Activity Strategies and Action Plans. But instead we've received cute appeals to "Culture" and "Media" and "Orientation" as being the backbone of our region. Sure, culture, media and orientation will play a role. But I'd love to hear some actual plans. What would an Activity Action Plan entail? It's certainly debatable. But some things to consider: (1) The region needs to discuss important issues again - we've done such a good job avoiding military and identity politics that we've basically eliminated the interest in our region. Nothing works better at raising the attention paid to a region more than a discussion of the future of the region at a fundamental level. (2) Regional Development. Create things for people to do - prepare a schedule of cultural events to take place within a term, commit to them. (3) Advertise everything. We should be communicating to our forum members and our regional members constantly with messages until we have a sustainable level of activity achieved - this whole grumpy attitude of "let them come to us" will get us nowhere. Moreover, outside communication about any major cultural events is a must. Issue: Political-Military Policy Nobody ever thinks this is a problem, but competitively speaking, The Rejected Realms has the claim to one of the oldest and longest running armies with a strong set of values, but it puts almost no resources into its own regional army because of the autonomy of the Army. This means younger feeder armies like The North Pacific Army (old name, new incarnation) and the Medjai Guard are, regardless of their youth and their own lack of a consistent set of values, better promoted and in a much healthier state. Military Reform is a death knell in TRR Elections - but here's a simple idea: don't touch the autonomy of the Army, change what we have control over with. The Rejected Realms could align itself with its own regional army without needing a power grab. Why would it do this? Mutual benefit. The Rejected Realms could use a healthy army and The Rejected Realms Army could use a lot more help from the government with promoting the army. It's a win-win for everyone, except some voters who would rather the region be stuck under the title of "neutral". While our region does its most embarrassing dance around the fact that its prodigal son is a defender army and the fact that the region is a long-time member of the Founderless Regions Alliance and before that, The Alliance Defense Network ... one must wonder if this is a rare exception to the common sentiment that "neutrality is always in a region's interests". There's also another reason why the region could benefit from aligning itself with its army: The Founderless Regions Alliance. The defender organization has, at the very least, declined and is in need of contributions from major stakeholders. Our current political compromise is rather ridiculous - the region has consistently stated in referendums that it wishes to stay as a member of The Founderless Regions Alliance. Fine. But beyond that, in a neutral region, there isn't enough momentum and resources put into actually contributing significantly to The Founderless Regions Alliance. This delicate balance may please those who don't want the region in the Alliance in the first place, but satisfy those who simply want the region associated with the FRA, but the reality is it means we've tied The Realms to a political relationship with a declining ally who we're not helping near enough. It doesn't need to be that way and we don't need to quit the relationship either. Frattastan, RRA and FRA veteran, has already stated in Unibot's "Paradise Found", that he could see such a proposed system as being mutually beneficial, but it is unclear how Abbey Anumia (author of the bi-partisan "North Pacific Army Doctrine" and creator of "the Cat Burglars") would stand on the proposal. The status quo is suboptimal for both parties and the old suggestion of gaining control over the RRA will do nothing but make a clone of The North Pacific Army, the Medjai Guard and The South Pacific Army, unless the region is prepared to initially make a serious commitment towards a coherent military ideology. Issue: Lack of Regional Identity It is a simple answer: what does being a "TRRer" mean? What does the region stand for? Identity politics are difficult because they usually play on the fundamentals of Gameplay. But when one of the driving forces of activity is a sense of purpose among citizens, any region should aim to have a clear understanding of its impressive history, as well as an understanding of who it is and why it is like that. When you ask the aforementioned questions, you'll get roughly this answer: "The Rejected Realms is a proud region that is open to all -- a neutral environment home to a warm community. It is protective of its important regional interests and closely guards its freedom and security". What's the big deal? Well, for starters: every feeder and sinker would answer that question with that near exact same response. Now, one could debate how neutral, proud, open, warm or protective these regions actually are and moreover, there are several identifiable and unique characteristics of other feeders and sinkers. (1) Balder is the monarchical sinker, (2) Osiris could be regarded as the more ferociously deferential (supportive of the Pharaoh and its officials) and (selectively) isolationist of the sinkers, (3) The North Pacific is a fiercely patriotic, blue-and-white, self-perpetuating legal-political-populist complex whose younger, envious, blue-and-black brother, The South Pacific, desperately tries to one-up with an inconsistent blend of sabre-rattling and warm and friendly community greetings (plus pineapples!), (4) The East Pacific is the mature "Roleplayer" feeder, and (5) The Pacific is the "Quiet Authoritarian" state, which has abandoned both its Francoist legacy and ideology in favor of just maintaining power in comfort and silence. As for the identities of The Rejected Realms, The West Pacific and Lazarus? Serious work needs to be done to find -some- kind of identity, some kind of brand that redefines the region as unique in the eyes of newcomers. Here citizens should be consulted in open discussion threads to find an answer to an important, perennial question. Issue: The Changing Map of Foreign Affairs A consequence of "safe" politics is both candidates pursue largely the status quo in Foreign Affairs - the problem with this is... how does change occur? The "map" of Foreign Affairs is changing every month subtlety - we can't think of any "dots" in the interregional space as 'fixed' in space-time ... The Rejected Realms is changing subtly, moving away from or closer to other regions in interests and similarities and new regions and markets for correspondence emerge every year. Is, for example, our formal political relationship with The Pacific (which was heralded as one of our most committed friendships, having once been a sworn enemy) relevant anymore? Or are we two "dots" moving in space-time away from each other (again)? Are we ignoring new allies, in favor of focusing on old political relationships that aren;t beneficial or germane anymore? A TRR-Lazarus relationship made sense and still makes sense: TRR and Lazarus both face the same problems since we're both combating chronic inactivity and underdevelopment and we have to eventually try to foster unique identities for ourselves - certainly, we can work to these goals with each other's help through cultural and political cooperation. But when Balder and Osiris emerged, the common thought was that "Sinker Unity" had to extend to the newest "sinkers" too. Cute sentiments aside, joining an alliance simply because regions share statuses is ludicrous. Balder and Osiris do not face the same problems as The Rejected Realms - nor do they appear to be moving in Foreign Affairs directions that are close to The Rejected Realms. Osiris has recently decided to join the Sovereign Confederation (which The Rejected Realms outright rejected) and Balder is heavily associated with the so-called "Eurosphere" which has been hostile with the Founderless Regions Alliance. Simply because they are titled, "Sinkers", does not mean that the politics of Balder or Osiris resemble traditional sinker politics. Balder's politics resemble a fairly calm monarchical region within the Eurosphere (e.g., The Kingdom of Denmark, Empires of Earth, Hampshire), while Osiris's politics resemble feederite politics (a cross-breed between Krulltopia's Pacifica and The South Pacific). What are traditional sinker politics like? Significantly more informal, slower and frankly, peripheral. Perhaps that is something that The Rejected Realms wishes to change, but nevertheless, the canvas is open for our imagination in regards to what we -could- become over-time. ![]() Interviews With Nazi Europe Leadership Rejected Times writer Libetarian Republics recently held interviews with German Dragons, delegate of Nazi Europe, and Captain Woodhouse, Intel Minister of Nazi Europe. Nazi Europe was recently liberated by the Security Council, a move which most interpreted as meant to open up the region to invasion. Libetarian Republics: First and foremost, I would to thank you in agreeing to this interview just for formality. German Dragons: It's fine. I appreciate the publicity. Good publicity. Usually it's bad. Libetarian Republics: Haha and why is that? German Dragons: "Nazi" Europe Libetarian Republics: Figures German Dragons: Mhm. All it takes these days. Libetarian Republics: Anyway, I just want to know your connection with Nazi Europe and etc. Background and how you became delegate basically. How you got interested with the region and the likes. German Dragons: A story not told enough. Which one shall I start on? Libetarian Republics: Where ever you wish to start on. German Dragons: Well I was brought into this game by The Christian Reich in January 30th, 2010. His home region was Nazi Europe, so that's where I startd. I lasted 3 days in there. He was booted for disagreeing with something Oh My Days said and I defended him. They thought I was a puppet and banjected me. I spent around 130 days in ICN until Oh My Days quit and Laos Refugees let me back in. Then, I started as Intelligence Minister from Christian Reich's connections. After some time in Nazi Europe, Laos had his breakdown and nearly destroyed Nazi Europe. Once we recovered, we needed a new leader. GoodNazis was picked. After about 40 days though, he was mod killed. He never contacted us again, even via offsite forum. I was the next trustable candidate and since then I’ve been Delegate of Nazi Europe. Libetarian Republics: I see. Interesting rise to power. What happen to the Founder? German Dragons: That's a question no one knows. Maybe Oh My Days did, but he's nowhere to be found either. Libetarian Republics: So basically he just ceased to exist out of nowhere? German Dragons: Poof. Oh My Days tried to Liberate Haven as some messed up political move and disappeared. Libetarian Republics: Ever consider refounding? German Dragons: Refounding? What we're trying to do now. Sorta tried to go off the radar, till this happened (Liberation Proposal of Nazi Europe). Too many hawks. We all saw Hippiedom. It's been a struggle to do anything without a founder. Feux is a greedy piece of crap for trying to do this to us. There is no threat, hasn't been one. It's a vendetta he seems to have. Libetarian Republics: I see. Well first and foremost, we all have our assumptions on Nazi Europe and the likes. I would to take a different perspective from the natives like you. Define Nazi Europe. What is it? Its purpose? Etc. German Dragons: It used to be a baston of hate, or so what I observed when I moved in. Libetarian Republics: Did it changed in any way as time progressed? German Dragons: Right now it doesn't stand for any animosity or hatred towards anyone. I am not a bigot/racist. I accept everyone who isn't a jerk. I don't appreciate hatred on my RMB. Libetarian Republics: So I guess you're saying that our assumptions are wrong? German Dragons: Pretty much Libetarian Republics: Why continue with the term Nazis? German Dragons: People are comparing us to the Greater German Reich. And to be honest, most of their hating people left with the scandal awhile ago. Following one. Aryan Shield Command AKA Felix. My opinion on the GGR is back to neutral. Libetarian Republics: May I ask who are they? German Dragons: Who is Felix and his ilk? Hardcore National Socialists. Riding close to Neo-Nazis. Libetarian Republics: I see. So we can safely assume they sorta represent the real life Neo-Nazis/Third Reich ideology? The ones we tend to brand on. German Dragons: Yes, you can Libetarian Republics: So what spectrum of Nazism are you guys on? German Dragons: You don't see America segregating Blacks. Time moves on. Ideas change. My regions ideas have changed. It embraces Nazism as an RP term nowadays. I will accept Nazis, but if they open animosity towards any group, I will not have it. My personal beliefs are slightly conservative but not so right as Nazi. Nazi can be regarded as a culture group, no? You say Nazi and the whole Third Reich idea pops up. Military discipline, the colors, the theme. A region theme doesn't have to embrace its ideology. Like if I do a Crusader themed region, I don't need to be a hardcore Catholic and hate "heretics". To be honest, I actually even had a Jewish themed nation as Public Relations Minister. He poofed, but it says something. YAHWEH was his name. Libetarian Republics: I understand as I was a roleplayer. A Jewish-themed nation in a Nazi-themed region is very ironic and surprising indeed. Does anyone know about this? German Dragons: Had him on the WFE and NO ONE said a thing. Libetarian Republics: So even the natives of Nazi Europe are pretty much on your point of view then? German Dragons: All the hardcore left for Greater German Reich and follow Felix. I don't know who's left in Greater German Reich that had those views. I may have natives who are national socialists, but they are respectable enough to keep it to themselves. Libetarian Republics: I see. So another question. As you know earlier this year, the Admins/Mods of the game realized an increase of "Nazi" regions in the game and wish to curved down on anything that resembles the likes of the Third Reich/Holocaust. What do you feel about it? German Dragons: I find it horrible. What about Communist regiosn? Did they not advocate murder? It seems the mods are behind anything that is anti-nazi. Libetarian Republics: Well technically it's anything of malicious content but it's been generally assumed to be targeted against Nazis and the likes. German Dragons: Because people are fools. You know how many Antifa puppets parade around trying to make justification on hating Nazis? As if history wasn't enough. Libetarian Republics: On a clear note, it has been brought up about communist regions that represent Stalin and the likes for your information. German Dragons: Name one GOOD form of Communism Libetarian Republics: I wouldn't know. I'm not Communist nor am I a Nazi German Dragons: Neither am I haha. I just am knowledgable on their impact in history. Libetarian Republics: I'm sure we all are. Anyway, I'm sure this will be a favorite. How is Nazi Europe responding to the recent liberation proposal? German Dragons: Angered. Wronged. Libetarian Republics: Surprised you guys were targeted? German Dragons: Nope. There has been many liberation attempts before. Libetarian Republics: And yet this one passed German Dragons: It befuzzles me how one can abuse such a respectable body. World Assembly being the body. It is the ultimate low blow. Libetarian Republics: Ah I see. How did it changed the security measures of the region? German Dragons: DEFCON 1. Invasion is imminent. It's not if, but when. Libetarian Republics: I can tell. Who you think is going to strike? German Dragons: Hard to tell. Cormac maybe Libetarian Republics: Cormac Stark? German Dragons: I am not sure, his full nation name was brought up awhile by my Intel Minister. He refers to him as "Cormac". So I assume a "Cormac" with good raider/defender connections will be the one. Libetarian Republics: Well the Cormac I know is a relatively well known one and does have military connections. German Dragons: Don't take my word on it Libetarian Republics: Haha nah none of my business. I'll be watching to see what happens though. I'm curious to know that I see a nice influx of nations coming in to support. How do you feel about it? German Dragons: Relieved, yet cautious. Any one of those could be a wolf in sheeps skin. Libetarian Republics: True. The dangers of puppets indeed. German Dragons: I keep the influx regulated and they are required to submit their main. But even then, one could get in. I think we have the enemies shocked. I don't think they expected this sort of defense. It will require an effort to take Nazi Europe. I don't think anyone expected this. Libetarian Republics: 50+ endorsements is indeed a lot to pull in one update. German Dragons: Hasn't been done since the golden days. You also forget. Even if they pull 60, it only takes me removing 10 till update. I can then clean out the rest. Libetarian Republics: I haven't forgotten about that. Anyway I'm not gonna say it could happen but if I did, what would you do should Nazi Europe be overrun?German Dragons: We try a counter attack. If all else fails, we move on and cut our loses. Then we give them a hell like they have never experienced. It'll be a large occupation. I have a lot of influence and so do a couple of Nazi Europe natives. We take what they love. Harass them until we become a headache. Start taking the fight to them. Nazi Europe has been a peaceful region recently, if they so insist on kicking the hornets nest. Then they will reap what they sow. Libetarian Republics: I see, well would you consider maybe asking a defender organization to help or lobby a repeal on the WA? German Dragons: We're looking at a repeal ourselves. If anyone wants to help, that'd be grand. It doesn't take a brain to see that the current liberation is poorly drafted. Contradictory. A piss-poor excuse to justify an attack on us. Libetarian Republics: You would still have to get the votes to repeal, how would you do it when most of the GCRs voted for the liberation? Just of curiosity. German Dragons: That's hard to tell. Not everyone is closed minded. It only takes on friend to convince people. The right people lobby it, and the tides are turned. The other liberations failed. So maybe the repeals will pass. Libetarian Republics: Who knows. Maybe. Anything is possible. Anyway, thanks for the interview. I have asked plenty of questions. Best of luck with your region and see this interview on the next edition in NS forums. It's been a pleasure interviewing you.German Dragons: If you need ANYTHING, do not refrain from asking me. I am free for any future interviews. Libetarian Republics: What is your history with the region [region]Nazi Europe[/region]? Captain Woodhouse: My main nation is in [region]Hell[/region]. In 2011, [region]NAZI EUROPE[/region] requested embassies with us. Long story short: the incident caused a major shitstorm in a region whose members are typically apathetic as wallpaper. I decided to check out NE to see what the fuss was about. At the time, some of the RMB banter made me cringe, but on occasion the board yielded decent historical discussion and debate. NE and a few of the members grew on me. I left for a while, but was invited back last summer to help defend the region. The founder had ceased to exist; a gathering threat was perceived. Libetarian Republics: How "Nazi" is [region]Nazi Europe[/region] and how "Nazi" are you and the other fellow natives? Captain Woodhouse: Some of the old guard in NE are quiet. I've no idea where they stand ideologically. I can only speak for myself. I'm an in-game Nazi when I play in NE. I'll continue to welcome alleged 'real' NS Nazis and fascists to the region, and will support their freedom of expression within rule confines. In return, I expect them to be somewhat sensitive to our mixed membership bag, and not go out of their way to divide the region. Libetarian Republics: How do you feel about the recently passed resolution (Liberation of [region]Nazi Europe[/region])? Captain Woodhouse: I caught this on [region]The North Pacific[/region]'s RMB the other day: ____________________ http://www.nationstates.net/page=rmb/postid=2599065 [nation]McMasterdonia[/nation]: But what I'm saying is the arguments by members of NE focus on the fact that the opposition is Communist. People like [nation]Cormac Stark[/nation], and all the GCR Delegates for example. Just totally incorrect. ____________________ [nation]McMasterdonia[/nation] is totally misinformed-as usual. Perhaps some GGR or NSL members believe the opposition is entirely Red, but NE knows better. We're all aware that a number of players outside Communist borders seek to tailor the game to their satisfaction. They think eliminating a founderless region that keeps to itself and barely poses a threat to a puppet dump will help them achieve that end. It won't. Our active members were content winding down into semi-retirement. Once the Liberation was upon us, we told each other the hell with that. Most of our vocal active members are American. We don't take kindly to being attacked and suppressed-especially when all we're doing is squatting in our own region, shooting the shit. We ain't going nowhere. [nation]Feux[/nation] poked the hibernating bear with a stick. We're awake now. Expect to see some payback. Libetarian Republics: How do you feel about [nation]German Dragons[/nation] and the way he's handling the issues? Captain Woodhouse: GD is as cool-headed as they come. Grace under pressure. Only GD could stand that tall in NE's saddle. Libetarian Republics: What are you gonna do to contribute to the defense of NE should there be an invasion? Captain Woodhouse: What I always do: support the region's right to exist to the best of my ability; however, I don't intend to engage the invading force on NE's RMB should their brick wall break our line. When that happens, my tantalus, campaign chair and I will yield the field to the wall. Libetarian Republics: How do you feel about the new influx of outside defenders coming to your defense? Captain Woodhouse: I'm pleased and honored to know that NE has so much support. I doubt it'll last forever. I think some folks expected an immediate O.K. Corral the moment the password came down. That's not happened. The would-be invaders didn't count on NE acquiring too much anchor chain. Libetarian Republics: What about the official site policy against "malicious content", earlier this year? (http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=217052) Captain Woodhouse: It was more of a crackdown on an existing policy. I'm okay with the site severely limiting what it perceives to be an endorsement of violence against others as long as it's consistent. [region]North Korea[/region], for example. In my opinion, one of the most murderous and oppressive regimes on earth is being glorified in that region. Not long ago, the founder posted a series of Korean Central News Agency articles regarding the DPRK's nuclear testing. The KCNA is a state-run news agency; the only news source in the country. You can imagine how propaganda driven it is. The articles were nothing more than disinformation and justification to wage violence against the United States. Libetarian Republics: Anything you wish to feel like mentioning? Captain Woodhouse: Yeah, sure. While I'm on the subject of [region]North Korea[/region], take a look at the RMB. The founder, and many other Communist players, would have us all believe they're tolerant, democracy loving Care Bears. [nation]The Defender Alliance[/nation] ordered that 'strong warnings' be issued to leftist players who voted against the Liberate [region]NAZI EUROPE[/region] resolution. Some Communist players are understandably concerned the resolution could set a dangerous precedent; that one day a similar clique might form a summit to knock their founderless regions out of the ballpark. Unfortunately, they're not permitted to vote their minds without Big Brother looking over their shoulders, harassing them for their choices. What an odd notion of tolerance. NAZI EUROPE has been targeted for demolition because we allegedly spread hate, violence and intolerance. I sure wish someone could give me some current examples. ![]() New Moderators Announced! The NationStates administrative staff announced earlier today that the whole population of The Rejected Realms would be promoted to forum moderator. This move came as a surprise to few, however, Osiris delegate Mad Jack expected this to occur. "About the only thing TRR has going for them is their contributions to the moderator staff," said the Phaoroah of Osiris. "I knew this would happen sooner or later." Many TRR Citizens don't know what to do with their new powers. Frattastan spent the whole day attempting to figure out how to change the update order. "I'd really like to put SFBA last," said the RRA Commander. "I'm having a bit of trouble," he added, before wandering off to pester Ballotonia to do it for him. Unibot quickly deleted Cerian Quilor and Halcones from the game, marking them as Delete-on-Sight. "I've always wanted to do that," he said, sighing with relief. "Now, back to work." Some players are worried about the potential for these moderators to abuse their power. However, supporters of the new staff members pointed towards past examples to support the choices. "The last few TRR moderators have been Sedgistan and CrazyGirl. Neither of them has ever done anything remotely controversial!" exclaimed Whamabama. "These moderators show that TRR citizens are simply the best choice for the moderation staff." Political Cartoons
