Mahaj was useless at FA. I think this is one of the few forums he actually visited.

Gryfynn is in charge of FA now, she'll be along when she's done in RL. I have an eject button, endo caps are being introduced, vice delegates are being discussed and i'm trying to be online at the same time as the TGGR recruiters so i can ban them :P

All change there... I'm guessing that Lazarus members weren't overly thrilled with getting the ban button?

On the contrary, we've been asking for the ban button for years. We're just not happy that DYP has the ban button. ;)

Unfortunately we have gone through, roughly, the most invasions from outside forces out of all the feeders and sinkers to not mourn over its lack.

I can see the attraction of The Button. After all, no matter how much you want to maintain a relaxed, open house policy, there are people who just don't play nicely with others, and don't respect anything except the ban-hammer. And then there's the problem of invasion: what could be easier than repelling invaders simply by kicking them out? And for control-freaks, you can create a completely homogenous region, kill off dissent, and satisfy every whim

Saying that though, TRR has done very well despite not having The Button. When you don't have the easy way to do something at your disposal, you're more creative. We've had good Delegates and good allies. Also, having The Button can be easily abused. DYP plainly exercises restraint, but most of us can think of Delegates or Founders who regulate their regions to within 2.54 cm of their lives, at the cost of stifling some degree of diversity and interest.

And of course, there is the little matter that if we did eject anybody from here, they'd end up ... well, here.
Peace,
TT

You couldn't just say an inch :P

I definitely do agree with what TT said. The ban button is very tempting, but can also make stuff a lot more boring. Without it, you do have to be much more creative and versatile.

Well we're about to drop out of "most nations in the region" :( The 2 new sinkers are pulling a lot of our refounds away, we've lost 2000 at least.

Today, TRR fell out of the top 10 regions in size because of the new sinkers
