The Fool on the Hill
|
Good morning fellow citizens. Let me start off for apologising for any poor grammar here, as I am using my phone on the bus to work, but I deem this issue to be important. I would like to propose a judiciary system for RR. I believe that recent events necessitate such a measure. First, there are treaties worth other regions. We must have a body to review any treaty in order to assess whether it could violate the written constitution. The body would also review any ammendments to current treaties for the same reason. Second, there is the case of Anur Sanur. Currently, as we have no laws, he has committed no crime, despite his act of treason. This needs redressing by the introduction of laws for all citizens to live by. Third, there is the Rogue Delegate debacle in the FRA. I believe that we can avoid falling foul of the current leadership at the FRA by introducing laws about what the delegate can or cannot do. If we define how our delegate would be rogue, then we control intervention. A judiciary would create, outline, and enforce this. Finally, this body would also judge any ammendments to our own written constition for legallity. Thank you for your time, my friends, and i welcome your input |

I don't see the point. Judges and trials in NS are a joke, and we have the group as a whole to look at the laws. We have a very small constitution, simple to judge by. ~B |

There are grounds for removal of citizenship set out in the Constitution, and that was what was used to remove Anur-Sanur's. I'm unconvinced by the need for a court. We can solve problems though a consensus or vote in the Assembly. |

And as far as the FRA's rogue delegate policy goes. It wouldn't matter how we defined it. It's not our law, it's theirs. So they will keep defining it as they see fit. Now if someone wants to write a repeal of that policy, as someone should. That would be good. |
