Bulletin BeNe-Confederation #3 The Bulletin BeNe-Confederation (BBC) is a newsletter of the Confederation of the regions Belgium and Nederland. It appears at irregular intervals. Issue date: March 20, 2011 Population: 210 (104 + 106) Forum: http://z6.invisionfree.com/BeNeForum/ Confederation government: General of the Army: Haken Rider Minister of Culture: Kapellen Minister of Foreign Affairs: vacant Delegates: Belgium: West-Flanders Nederland: Leepaidamba Domestic News Nederland: Region Nederland has done away with its Constitution. It's still part of the BeNe Confederation though. The election of the Delegate is no longer done by voting on the forum, but by collecting endorsements within the region, per NS rules. In essence the mode of operation of the region has returned to the way it was before the Constitution was originally put in force on July 4th, 2004. The number was purposely boosted so gold-colored regional trophies are handed out each day. - The first BeNe soccer tournament was completed recently. On behalf of the BeNe-Confederation, Ballotonia Interim Minister of Foreign Affairs BeNe-Confederation |

Thanks for the update I did like the population boost you did - I've been tempted to do the same to the SFBA, because I like the look of those #1 trophies.

Key is of course to purposely use sorta wishywashy average nations, so they don't end up taking the cool trophies :p But frankly, I had enough puppets floating around to do that anyway. And looking at the distribution of regional populations before and after the trophies, it seems I wasn't the only one who thought of doing that... Free4All |

Bulletin BeNe-Confederation #4 The Bulletin BeNe-Confederation (BBC) is a newsletter of the Confederation of the regions Belgium, Nederland, and Vlaanderen. It appears at irregular intervals. Issue date: August 31, 2011 Population: 218 (101 + 102 + 15) Forum: http://z6.invisionfree.com/BeNeForum/ Confederation government: General of the Army: Haken Rider Minister of Culture: Bradiak Minister of Foreign Affairs: Leepaidamba Delegates: Belgium: West-Flanders Nederland: Ballotonia Vlaanderen: East-Brabant Confederate News: - This August the region of Vlaanderen was admitted to our Confederacy. They are a small dutch speaking region related to the RL region of Flanders in Belgium. This was done by an unanimous vote from all involved regions. Congrats Vlaanderen! - On August 23 a new Confederal Minister of Foreign Affairs was appointed: Leepaidamba. - On August 27 a new Confederal Minister of Culture was appointed: Bradiak. Cultural News: - The second BeNe soccer tournament was convincingly won by HC Eredivisie. The second place silver award went to Hamme, with Ballotonia capturing third place Bronze. The success of the second tournament led to the immediate start of a second tournament. - The third BeNe soccer tournament marked a record of twelve participating teams. Games were played over a period of three months (June, July, and August), culminating in a tension-filled final game day. The winner was decided on that last day when Dangertk took over the lead position in the rankings. Alcmaer had been in the lead for most of the tournament, but nevertheless had to settle for the honorable Silver award. The Bronze award was awarded to Heinekenbier, who barely managed to prevent being overtaken by The Blaatschapen. Both nations tied in ranking points, so their ratio of total goals scored for/against decided which nation got to take the third place award home. Army News: - Foreign Affairs: - Formal in-game embassies were established between Belgium, Nederland, and Vlaanderen, to honor our confederacy. - Region Belgium established embassies with Beneforum (a region established to promote the forum of the BeNe Confederation to all dutch-language NS players), the Rejected Realms, France, and Vrij Vlaanderen (the emergency backup region of Vlaanderen). - Region Nederland established embassies with 10000 Islands, Equilism, The Rejected Realms, The South, and Antarctic Alliance, as well as Vrij Vlaanderen, De Betuwe (a RL part of the Netherlands), Beneforum, regions Fokpol and Radboud (also Dutch-language), United Nations of the Moon, de KoffieSjop, Afrikaans, Fryslan (a province of RL Netherlands), and the region Nederland colonies of Holland, Netherlands, and The Netherlands. - Region Vlaanderen established embassies with Vrij Vlaanderen, Flanders, Land van Waas, Swieneparredies, and Lisbon. Domestic News Nederland: - Region Nederland has had no problems since having abolished its entire Constitution. Despite the total lack of formal documentation the region keeps running calmly and smoothly as ever. - Ballotonia has taken over the position of Delegate from Leepaidamba. - Longtime resident Ballotonia was honored by the Security Council with an official Commendation. Domestic News Belgium: - Domestic News Vlaanderen: - The nations Young Wolves, The Magical Ring, Huilende Konijntjes and Klauwaerts were ejected from the WA for rule violations. All these nations adopted the same flag, the motto "Bye bye" and all but one the pretitle "Going into the void". All four departed Vlaanderen for The Rejected Realms. - Following Young Wolves' departure East-Brabant has taken over the position of Delegate. On behalf of the BeNe-Confederation, Leepaidamba Minister of Foreign Affairs BeNe-Confederation |

Sorry for the late response. Our football league uses the WA world rankings, where each participating nation has a 5-digit ranking. We compare these five digits one by one, and the lowest digit scores a goal (same digit means no goal is scored for that digit). Match results can hence vary from 5-0 to 0-5, with 0-0 being impossible. Example: rankings 10654 and 8636 means the match is 2-2. Throughout the season all teams (nations) play against one another twice, with there being two game days per week. Winning a match gives 3 points, tying gives 1 point. At the end, tournament win goes to whomever has the most points, with goal ratio determining the winner in case there's a tie in points. Free4All |
