Delegacy talk [split]

I find your insinuation hilarious. One because it lacks any semblance of subtly, and two because it is completely idiotic.
The idea that all the time I've spent here is leading to this Master Plan is a little more than over the top.

I believe I already have said I plan to hold my endorsements at 60. Right now I am at 55.
Furthermore, Kandarin's endorsement count has increased since I made the pledge. I was at 56 when I made the pledge.

I am not trying to take the delegacy. If you are going to use such innocuous actions as a basis for keeping Kandarin in power then we are going to have problems. There will always be swappers, and we have plenty of means to get around them.

What if BI wins? There still will be no change? Both CG and Naivetry seem to be waffling on the issue.
I would have hoped I would hear that you would do everything in your power to put the elected nation in power. Instead you seem intimidated by "swappers". Honestly the lack of initiative is disconcerting. What are all the alliances for? Between natives and foreign WA nations we could quickly help Lirantha climb the endorsement ladder. I would be willing to telegram all of Pristine Angel's endorsers to explain the situation.

I honestly would like to vote for Naivetry but will be forced to vote for BI if I feel no plan of action is being developed/initiated to put Lirantha in power.

How can this forum community claim to represent the region if it can't get the elected nation into the delegacy? People who endorse Pristine Angel just endorse her because she endorsed them. Rejecting a similar endorsement from Lirantha with the added fact that she was elected would seem to indicate that TRR rejects this entire process.

Lirantha should begin swapping now. Waiting will only exacerbate the problem.

First off, the Nation Kandarin is Naivetry, same with the nation Lirantha. If BI importance wins he will have to swap to get the delegate spot, as he doesn't own Kandarin, Nai does.

So if Nai was to win, there wouldn't be any need to swap the nations out to place her nation in the delegate spot, because it's ALREADY in it now.

I am posting in this thread since no one has bothered to move this to a neutral thread nor has anyone posted anything in my campaign thread about this.

Currently, I am not the delegate. I am not endo-swapping right now because I do not have any notion to assume the delegate position from Kandarin until I am elected.

Here is my plan for Biblical Importance to switch to WA Delegate:
As soon as I win this election (if I win) I plan on giving an endorsement to every WA nation in TRR. (I have said I would do this in my campaign thread.)
I will ask Nai (the current delegate) to change the WFE to instruct everyone to endorse me as the newly elected delegate and to continue to endorse Kandarin for security purposes.
To help increase my endorsement count, I will telegram WA nations asking for an endorsement.
I may also ask certain non-WA nations in TRR to create a temporary puppet to endorse me with to help speed up the process.
When I have the 2nd most endorsements in TRR, I will ask Nai to either resign Kandarin from the WA or have here relocate Kandarin to another region for 3-4 updates to remove all endorsments from that nation.

I am also, not above asking for help from other regions if it looks like other nations are making it difficult to switch Biblical Importance to the delegate position.

I would hope, however, that this election is more than just about which nation can assume the delegacy with the least amount of trouble because people are fearful about regional security. If that is the case, then Kandarin was correct in his original actions to give his nation and the delegacy to Nai.

I will say here, that if Nai, should win this elections and choose to switch Lirantha to the WA Delegate position as she said she would in her campain thread, I would be willing and happy to resign Biblical Importance from the WA in order to temporarily control either Kandarin or Lirantha to help avoid multiing.

Thanks, BI, and thanks for posting your plan. I'd be more than happy to send confirming telegrams from Kandarin as well, if you're elected. Speaking of, splitting the thread from the beginning of this discussion would be a good idea - we'll probably have more to talk about in this regard whichever way it goes. *gently pokes various admins and entices with plates of cookies and coffee*

CG's right - this is about electing a player, not a nation. Otherwise, there would be no obvious reason to hold elections, because the nation in the Delegate's seat is still the same as it ever was. And you accept that idea already, Anur, whether you realize it or not; that's the only possible reason you could have for objecting to my use of [nation]Kandarin[/nation] in the first place.

Give me post numbers to split (or every post from #?), and I'll do it. Don't have time to go through the whole thing again.

I would like to float an idea.

I understand that Kandarin is now under Naivetry, but as I have said many are uncomfortable with the handover.
It's not that I and others don't want Nai, it's that we would rather have the nation Kandarin step down as delegate to reflect the change in player ownership.
I feel Lirantha should take the delegate position, even if you feel that Kandarin and Lirantha are one and the same.

Therefore I propose the voting thread have three options (those who already have voted can edit their posts)

Naivetry (Kandarin)
Naivetry (Lirantha)
BI

Voting (Kandarin) or (Lirantha) is not an absolute. Both votes go to Naivetry. If (Lirantha) wins it doesn't mean anybody expects Kandarin to be removed instantly. However, I think it would be a good way to get the region's opinion so that we have a clear reference as we move forward. I don't expect Kandarin to be removed for at least a few weeks or at all if Naivetry wins, but I would prefer the nation step down. So I will vote for the second option. I would hope if the majority vote (Lirantha), then the democracy will be respected and the steps will be taken to put Lirantha in power.
Since this method has not yet been approved my ballot will be:

Naivetry (Lirantha)
BI

I put BI because if this voting method isn't approved I would rather cast my vote for BI. I ask that the Council only count my Lirantha vote instead of my BI vote if this voting method is approved. I will be gone for a week due to RL obligations and won't have the time to amend my vote to the circumstances.

That sounds like something that should be decided after the election, if Naivetry wins.

I was uncomfortable with the region being handed over. The nation is Kandarin's choice. Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn

I think that is just stupid.... I call for the council to invalidate his vote unless he change it to one of the standard choice.

There is only 3 choice: Nai, BI, or abstain. Any other votes should not be recognize and thrown out.

Anur, I've already said that I'll be holding a vote about which nation should be used, if I win. If you're uncomfortable with that decision being left up to a democratic vote, then you simply shouldn't vote for me.
