Member Of The Month

There are no more members of the month! I got tired of never changing it! So you can all suck it! AHAHA!

Welcome!

If you're new here, come to our main forum:
Webcomic RP Central
and come chat with us.
No, it's not necessarily about webcomics at all.
That's just the name we have for it.

We're looking to prune down the forums,
so if anyone has any boards they requested
up that they're SURE they aren't
using anymore, please contact me so I can
get rid of it and make the forum look nicer.

Post ideas you have.

Virtues and Vices: Another Bonus

So you're fighting a zombie horde, and have a Virtue of Hope for the people behind you. There's a few zombies left, but you're pretty badly beaten, struggling to stand. What do you do?

Give them Hope, of course. Acting in your Virtue will give you a +3 bonus to your rolls in this system, as a replacement bonus for gaining Willpower. You may do either, and you can do them both if you happen to use them both in the same scene; you can gain the bonus from acting in your Virtue once per scene.

So this jerkass that you hate is getting in your face, and you have some dirt you wanted to hang over his head. You have a Vice of Wrath, and you're in public. What do you do?

Give him your Wrath verbally, of course. Acting in your Vice will give you a +1 bonus to your rolls in this system, again as a replacement for Willpower points. You can do either, as with Virtues, and this bonus can be gained twice per scene.

In theory, you could work both Virtue and Vice together to make a +4 bonus in one go; but how often does THAT happen?

The Vinculum is not limited to mortals and Kindred. Anyone can be placed under its spell...this goes for Ghouldom too. So yes, you can have a werewolf for a pet. Note that a Vinculum and Ghouldom must be chosen between; you have to choose one or the other per point of Vitae fed to the target.

In addition, the Vinculum's power has a weakness - strong will and supernatural power. The Kindred must roll Presence + Resolve + Blood Potency, while the victim must roll Resolve + Composure + Supernatural Advantage (if they have one). If the Kindred wins the roll, they dominate their victim by one step; if the victim wins, they resist. Every step grants the Kindred a +2 dice bonus to Social, Dominate, and Mesmerize rolls against the victim, to a maximum of +10 (5 steps). Each step takes longer to wear off; the first step takes 2 months, the second 4, the third 6, and so on. Start from the highest step to determine time to wear off the Vinculum.

Also, a starting Kindred gets an additional dot of Disciplines, which must be from their clan. They may not have 4 dots in a Discipline to start unless their BP is at least 2.

Finally, a ghoul Mage or Werewolf (anyone but a vampire, who can't be a ghoul) can convert points of Vitae to their own power (Mana or whatever).
