In ancient times 400 sages sealed a ancient demon king into a single soul gem and locked it away deep inside of the abyss. the ordeal killed the many sages since they used up their souls to seal him and this created a unbreakable chain, but every lock has a key and 4 souls where assigned as the bearers of this "key" it has passed in the bloodlines of these men and women for ages. but only 4 keys can exits in the same time so it's random in the bloodline who has the key. To recognize one with the key inside of them you have to look for a small glowing rune that designates the mark of the key. These keys are protected when found by nearly all civilizations but most of the population sees them as a link to the demon lord himself, so they usually fear them more then the plague even thought the city guard is obliged to help them since they are the only ones that are able to keep him there..
Our story begins in a small harbor town called westpoint, you are a group of adventurers who look for companionship in these hard times since all of you are nearly broke and are desperate for a job. But that is not the only problem that has arisen from these times, there has been rumors of a shadowy cult that rumors say want to resurrect the demon lord Salianderos which is the one 400 sages sacrificed their lives to create a nigh impenetrable bond.
Since these are only rumors people dismiss them as a tale to scare people and add excitement to the average day.

(one of the adventurers will be one of the keys, since that will be the one that drags the group into the plot, also every class is available so is all the races of DND, ask me if you want to add other races)(And if someone wants to play as a spellscarred ask me again)

NOTE: when doing classes you have these points to allocate before choosing your race and modify with their bonuses 16,14,13,12,11,10
