Things have been wildly busy to say the leaset So here it goes! Work: OMG. What a rollercoaster. Bad boss was such a nightmare I went to HR over him and over his even worse boss (VP). Was about to take a job in another province that would have been good career wise, but not so great personally due to distance (more on that presently), WHEN.... Massive reorg. Nasty VP got fired. Bad boss got moved to another area. I got moved under someone who I've worked with before and like, and our new VP is someone HE has worked with before and likes. This has just transpired over the last couple of weeks, so I'm sitting tight waiting to see what happens. At least I'm being allowed to do my job and not be micromanaged!!! Personal: Army Dude is still very much in the picture . He's had a rough few months with civilian work as well (He's technically just a reservist now, although a pretty involved one) but we've gotten through it, and things are looking up. He's held it together incredibly well. He's away for a month right now on exercise in the middle of nowhere. I miss him, but it could be worse... I could be in the middle of nowhere with him . And as I pointed out, at least I'm not worried about him getting shot at on Canadian soil. And if someone does, he can kick their butt(s) for it. Downside is that while he's away, I have his two cats. I also have two cats. 2 + 2 = crazy cat lady. Especially when they ALL want to share the bed. Part of the recent not being around is because I moved! Not on the farm with the great views any more, but now have way more space (which is good given that I now have four cats for the short term) and still only 5 mins up the road from Bria. Pony: We've been coming along GREAT! My wild child turns EIGHT this year (OMG) and has settled in as the ultimate adult ammy packer. Most days. She's so well broke Trainer is borrowing her for the occasional lesson with a rerider who was a lovely rider back in the day, but has been out of it for years. They even put her small son on Bria's back after Mom's lesson for a short leadline session... apparently Bria was completely baffled at this child on her back holding her mane, and then the lightbulb went on that this was the Easiest Job Ever and she was really quite smug about it I've been getting my confidence back, and we've come a LONG way. I should be good to roll around PT this year (basically a stiff novice). Only catch is that trainer is WAY overbooked right now, and I'm having trouble getting what I need in terms of lessons and XC (trainer is primarily a jumper trainer). I get this. It's not her priority (see "primarily a jumper trainer" . However it's starting to become a big issue. Bria and I have come SUCH a long way, and this program works SO well for us, but if I can't figure out a way to even work with another eventing trainer for part of the time, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I'm supposed to be in the PT group at the Blyth Tait clinic at the end of June... stadium will be fine, but I'm getting worried about XC. On a positive note, Video!
