You're BANNED! Posts: 3,025 Group: Members Member #305 Joined: January 9, 2007	Hello everyone -- So, as those of you who are on my facebook page know, I am starting a new job next week. Finally. After almost a year of unemployment, I will be back to work. Now, it is a maternity leave replacement for 16 months, which is perfect for me as it gives me some breathing room to find full time work. I will also be working part time for a small trade show company here in town doing some on-line marketing stuff, and some other stuff for them to help make up the short fall in my finances. My finances are a mess. I am seeing a credit counsellor tomorrow to go over my options -- protection or bankruptcy. I have beat back the wolves for as long as I can and now no one wants to negotiate with me and they are all demanding full payment. The house deal finally closed, and I had to borrow money from my parents to actually get the deal closed. What a tough road that has been, let me tell you. I have amazing friends and family who helped me move. If it had not been for them, I do not know what I would have done as there was just no money to pay for movers. Oh ... and irony? I got moved into my new house and two days later, got my new job. I am not dating right now and I have decided not to for awhile -- like at least a year. I want to get ME in order -- all of me -- before I think about "dog walking" and dating and men. Dating at this age (52) can be both fun and icky. So much baggage .... mine and whatever dude I have dated. The funny thing is I have begun questioning my motives for dating and what I want and need, so until I get that straight, all men are off limits. Except for Ken Watanabe should he show up on my door step On the HAPPY front --- I am singing in a musical. I am having so much fun and have met so many nice people doing this. This is the first time I have done something that is just FOR ME. I have sailed but that was the former mr. diva's thing not mine. Although I love horses, riding was always my daughter's thing. I hve always wanted to act and this was a great chance to try that. And I am happy. Although the financial stuff will be hard, I have a lovely home that I am renting, a terrific room mate, our assorted canines, and this wickedly awesome group of friends and family who are my pillars of strength and support. And I count all of you in that group!
