Well, that was the plan anyway...

I just thought we would work with the two year old and the yearling a bit to get them accustomed to getting in the trailer.
Being lazy and not wanting to pull out the big Mother Ship trailer I hooked up the Trail-Et two horse and took the center divider out.
There was a hay bag in there from hauling a horse a few days ago.
I went back to the barn to get their halters/lead ropes.
Got distracted (imagine that?).
Heard some noise.
Looked out toward the trailer.
Two baby butts visible... they are in the trailer eating the hay.
A moment later the yearling backs out, mills around.
Next on the agenda for the yearling is laying down on the ramp. Just kind of needed to take a break from all the excitement I guess.
Two year old turns around, sees she can't get out because her lazy Brother is lying on the ramp.
She turns back around and starts eating again.
Yearling gets up.
Two year old turns back around and ambles out of the trailer.
They wander off and carry on with their day.

Next up; actually putting halters on them and doing the loading/unloading thing some more when it is my idea.

I think it is great! Just yesterday one of the 3 year olds was balking at going in the trailer. Rearing and such. Seems he had not been in a trailer but once in his life. The steep ramp put him off! Even loading a horse in with him. Guess he finally got in! Your two will run right in with that positive experience.

OMG that is too cute. :) I would love to have seen the snooze on the ramp. That can't have been comfy, but hey, what ever works for you, young man.

I remember those days. When loading was fun!!! lol
