Hi all, I have a small barn (3 stalls) and would like to put up a wash rack. Has anyone used a tankless style water heater for their barn? I am very familiar with the on-demand concept and their efficiency ratings, however I have not seen one in a barn (yet). Before I start looking at them, I'm curious if anyone in a small barn has installed one and if so, where did you put the unit in relation to where the water line comes in the barn? Our water comes in right by the door, great, but I'd like the tankless unit to be out of the barn isle (even though they are small) to avoid any nosy horses on a path of destruction...as my guy tends to be. ;-) Thanks in advance for any comments/experiences with this type of system. Best, E |

One of the places I have uses one. It's in their tack up/ wash area about two feet from the faucet. Works great, gets super hot super quick. |

I had one in my last barn. We had one in the house so decided to try in the barn. I liked it a lot. Ours didn't work as well in winter because it was about 20 feet under concrete to the hose. It would be lukewarm by the time it came out the end of the hose. A little warmer from the spiggot. Worked great in warmer months. |
