Well, I guess big beautiful baby is more gray than black. But I'm still pretty jazzed about her...

Can I tell you HOW LONG I have been wanting a trailer. It's obscene! And I got so lucky, this whole situation with this trailer was kismet.

Devon, those photos are beautiful. Hard not to be with such attractive subjects all-around. Where did the little tiny sidesaddle come from? Have you had that the entire time, and you just use it when you can find a little tot who wants to ride in it? And the little outfit? Gosh, it's so neat and I saw all the little things (gloves tucked in, etc.) that show how it's correct down to the details. So neat!

The saddle was made a couple of years ago by Smoky Everhart (our local ss guru/repairer). It pretty much is only in use when someone is small enough to use it. I have a larger child's saddle as well, and Smoky is building me another medium-sized child's saddle on a vintage tree that he had. It should be done in 2-3 months, and I can't wait to see it.

The little habit was made for Smoky's neice, Muffin, who herself won the 1-3 leadline at Upperville wearing it in 1973!! So that habit and Upperville have a history. Smoky very kindly gave it to me last year, along with a slightly larger navy plaid jacket w/navy apron, and a 6-7 yr old-sized tan linen summer habit.

I purchased the child's sandwich case from England 3 years ago.

The pony double bridle was actually Smoky's small pony's hunting bridle (and it wasn't new then), and the child's hunt whip was also his. He is now 71, so you can do the math on how old those items are. ;)

That's amazing, SSR. Love the pics! I had a friend who used to do the leadline aside at Devon and Upperville and all the big shows. Her mother was a big sidesaddle rider in the 70's, so she just got a kick out of it :)

You look absolutely gorgeous in all of the photos.

I love the history of all the pieces. You really should write all of that down, it's fabulous to know where these things come from!!!

SSR, love those pictures! I can hardly believe how elegant you made a leadliner look! Cute is usually the word that comes to mind when I see the lead liners at Upperville, but you guys are gorgeous! Wow...and the history of all the items, I am with V, it needs to be recorded somewhere for the equestrian history buffs!

I was going to ask you where all that stuff came from, that's absolutely awesome!! I wish Maya had a sidesaddle appropriate pony for you to teach her on!

Absolutely stunning!!!

I would love to get Sophia and Trip some sidesaddle lessons. I wish there was someone near us who could teach them. Is is something you can sort of figure out, or do you need some serious help?
